Only 10% felt we should fight Iran. Another thing I'd like to point out is that the Neocons are mostly Jews. Or they are all members of American Enterprise Institute. About the Brit soldiers, it all sounds extremely fishy. Brit soldiers were captured and held before two years ago the same way at the same place. So they didn't have a plan? They didn't have back up? If you read my talk-back properly,I have never alleged what you have written.I simply said that if the soldiers were in Iranian waters we would not have expected a different reaction from Iran.Iran did take an action with the proof that the soldiers were in their waters.As it is sattelite pictures will soon be able to determine the exact version of what is going on.

in 2004. Iranians detained a group of British soldiers. They paraded them on TV, blinfolded. They were released in 3 days. At that time, the analysis of satellite images showed that Brits did not entered Iran's territorial waters.. Yes, that time, it was pushing of the envelope, to se what Iran can get away with. This time, the whole thing had a purpose. Iran would like to get back 5 RG's detained by CENTCOM in exchange for Brits. Not that they particularly care for these RG's. It is likely that they "sang", so Iran wants them back primarily to punish them, foremost because they got caught, and second that they likely revealed some information. In other words, nothing good awaits these 5 RG's if the "deal" would get green, most likely a spectacular view of surroundings from a crane hook, not lasting for long, though. I don't expect that the situation would escalate to open hostilities, shortly. CENTCOM does not like to be pushed into timeframe not of their choosing. But this event would, no doubt, be stated as one of casus belli reasonns when time will come.

Much like many bad movies, this is a sequel, only with a larger cast. I actually wouldn't be all that surprised if the British boats were in Iranian waters. Iraq only has a coastline of something like 35 miles. I wouldn't be surprised if they just got bored from the cramped conditions and pushed the envelop a little.
