61. let them rot.
james McKinlay ,   Israel   (03.27.07)
I hope we dont send them money, how about looking after our own, and let them rot in the shit of there making. They only have themself to blame.
62. #33 Palestinian in West Bank
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.27.07)
The point is that we would not be in this situation because we would not act like the Palestinians. What have you accomplished in 100 years? And don't blame it on us - you & your Arab brothers made this mess. And, you continue on the same road today. We created a modern, successful country out of immigrants, while at war - what have you created? So stop the excuses & take some responsibility for a change.
63. 52: Don't celebrate, but certainly pass judgement
David ,   Rehovot   (03.27.07)
They spend hundreds of millions of dollars to pay terrorists and build weapons, rather than spend them on building their own country. While deaths of civilians is sad, the Pals chose their course and we can certainly judge it.
64. Palestinian society is in deep sh*t
Nachash Tsefah ,   Tel Aviv   (03.27.07)
Sad event but actually it is only a physical manifestation of the sh*t that Palestinian society is in... And of course, they blame Israel and the Jews for everything. Enjoy the cleanup party.
65. Are predictable disasters now allowed to happen
Cynic Observer   (03.27.07)
as a new way to demonize Israel and victimize Palestinians? No different from exposing their kids to IDF gunfire.
66. Sewage Flood
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (03.27.07)
Typical Muslim weapon of war. Shitty job, that terrorism
67. Meanwhile.... the Hamas Government is testing new rockets
(03.27.07)
Meanwhile.... the Hamas Government is testing new rockets in Neve Dekalim.
68. time to ask help from your dear ayatollahs in terroristiran!
(03.27.07)
You asked them help for building rockets now DONT CRY! This may be cruel for the victims and this is very sad for those innocents but this is a fair judgment for your disabilities to manage your future and for your mental illness. >maybe one day , you'll learn that investing in a country's future doesn't mean investing in rockets and terrorism....
69. Where are the arab MKs?Probably laughing!
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (03.27.07)
Why have they not immediately volunteered to aid and assist. It's OK for the IDF - a JEWISH military group to step in shiite and help the Arabs, but it's not OK for the Arabs to expect their own to step in shiite to help them? Just proves the true intentions of the Arab MKs is a furtherance of terrorism, not assistance to the Palestinians!
70. to #5
Yaarit ,   Fair Lawn, NJ, USA   (03.27.07)
Yeah and you actually believe them... It's very interesting how everytime that something happens to them Israel is to be blamed. Another thing, I have no clue why the IDF should help them, and why the hospitals should have them. Their own people should do that...
71. relevant response from another talkbacker...
(03.27.07)
you would think that any smart politician would seize the opportunity of taking over standing buildings and use them for the benefit of the community. However, the Palestinians have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. They could have created youth centers, schools, or any type of public welfare institution but instead destroyed the structures and use them for war. this is why funds are held back. every penny that goes to this sham of a so called palestinian government will go to arms rather than the betterment of the Palestinian people. their actions speak for themselves and show the world what kind of people they place their trust in and elect to public office. Jeremy , Canada (02.27.07)
72. Peretez, go over to the Arab side
Steven ,   San Francisco   (03.27.07)
Where your affections and allegiances are.
73. Indonesian Tsunami was just a test by the Mossad
(03.27.07)
It was a training exercise so that the devious Mossad could carry out their real goal: Tsunami Cesspool
74. Stupid excuse
Shai ,   Israel   (03.27.07)
We don't even bomb the tunnels and underground weapons storage areas built of reinforced concrete by the Hamas government to enable the continuation of the conflict, so how logical is it that while the Hamasniks are investing all their infrastructure repair and construction capacity (and whatever money they've got) building bomb-proof bunkers and not repairing this sewage infrastructure, that we would waste our weaponry bombing a sewage treatment plant? HAVE WE EVER BOMBED SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS? Is there no shame to what you can blame on Israel? Are you capable of admitting when you are at fault, EVER?
75. Was the flooding intentional?
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (03.27.07)
It is a well known fact that the Islamofascists have no misgivings about killing kids and the elderly to achieve their ends, even if the victims are Muslims! So here's a REALITY CHECK! The Hamas-Fatah terrorist PA has been striving for ways to have money released so that they can finance their terror machine. What better way than to detonate the support walls of the Mosque (sorry I mean cesspool), let it flood the town and kill the kids. They can then blame Israel and the US for forcing the world to freeze their funds, alleging that if they had money, they could have rebuilt the supports and avoided their "sewer tsunami." Once the funds are released, there are no controls and they can pay for more arms for terror. Far fetched? Just review the history of Hamas and Abbas and reality shows it is not only possible, but a very real answer!
76. Israel left Gaza half a year ago
(03.27.07)
77. This is so sad :{ look at the little child
Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.27.07)
78. Did the US blame Israel for it?
Rom Pandia ,   Delhi India   (03.27.07)
Who's laughing ? Where are all the bllions they got from Saudi Arabia, Katar the US and Europe?
79. Shiites in the shit (END)
Nachash Tsefah ,   Tel Aviv   (03.27.07)
80. Horrible Tragedy
J ,   USA   (03.27.07)
My condolences to all of the victims. Regardless of your political beliefs or what you feel the cause of this was, this is an awful tragedy that has taken the lives of many innocent people and it discusts me that either side would try to politicize this.
81. Do everything possible to help them
Daniel van Dalen ,   Jerusalem   (03.27.07)
We must do everything we can in order to help them. No effort should be spared to assist the wounded and other victims. And those who think thoughts of revenge when such a thing happens, are critically sick in their ugly heads.
82. #75 has an excellent point...
Myackie ,   Austin, TX   (03.27.07)
they create a lot of their own suffering. So sad...so sick.
83. BBC report
(03.27.07)
"Palestinian Interior Minister Hani al-Qawasmeh - who rushed to the scene - was reportedly chased off by angry villagers" Apparently the "uneducated villagers" know whose fault it really is... As opposed to all the eloquent hate mongers who visit this website.
84. #59, we're better than that. We must help and publicize it.
Shuki   (03.27.07)
Yes, I feel the urge to "stick it to them" also. But we must quickly pass that. As a people Jews do not celebrate the hurt of others. We are better than that. And we must show it. We must go in and provide humanitarian assistance to the victims. But we must do so in a highly publicized manner so that every person living in Gaza and every news station in the Arab and Western world understands that despite a million reasons to refrain from doing so, the Israeli people via the IDF are helping.
85. LOOK AT THE PICTURE SETUP
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (03.27.07)
Is it just me, or does that picture look deliberately posed in order to mimic the famous Beslan picture? Another question, why is the "rescue worker's" jacket and sweater so spotlessly clean if he has been carrying victims drenched in sewage?
86. What do you expect....
Gil ,   Jerusalem   (03.27.07)
....if you dig tunnels underneath to smuggle weapons? Something's going to collapse sooner or later. The weapons were smuggled because of the occupation. The occupation is Israel's fault. Without the occupation therefore this wouldn't have happened so it's all down to Israel.
87. They need to blame Israel
Isabella ,   Israel   (03.27.07)
If they don't, the onus falls on them. So not only can they not run a grubby piece of land and care for its people, Hamas are seen as a bunch of incompetent Morons who can't even keep their people from drowning in excreta. Step forward Israel and take the blame – No, I think not!
88. #81 - I agree with you Daniel!
Robby ,   San Jose, USA   (03.27.07)
89. #85 Kyle - stop being petty
Isragirl ,   Qiryat Yam, Israel   (03.27.07)
maybe the people who pulled this poor kid out (zichrono lebracha) passed him to police officers while they continued their very dirty work... Whoever is there, saving people is a hero, no matter what your or his ideology is. You wouldn't want to be in their place...
90. Israel should be happy
Y ,   N   (03.27.07)
There are no longer an israeli presence in the strip. Everything that goes on there like the shooting of small children, klan killings, honor killings and floodings cant really be blamed on you. The palis are responsible themselfes for whats going on. Now give them controll of the rest of Gaza and forget about them. Let them sink or swim. Either way Israel will be the winner.
