The Geneva Conventions cover POW's, not unlawful combatants. Do your homework.

If we are willing to substitute facts for emotions for the sake of discussion I encourage the reading of the three sentence Balfour Declaration that kicked off this rhubarb in 1917. That document drafted by Zionist leaders called for the establishment of a Jewish state IN Palestine. It did not sanction a takeover of Palestine or any paat of it. But the provocative pre-meditated strategy of the Israelis resulted in the 1947 war with the Arabs. The rest is well known. The Arabs want their land returned. It is apparent they will not let the Jews abide in peace until they get it. Neighboring Arab states want the Palestinians to return home so the financial burden of caring for refugees can be ended. Is that too difficult for the Israelis to understand?

Unlawful combatants. Define that for me stouge. What a crock. These guys are just dudes who got their country invaded taken over and then they are called terrorist and are tortuered where is their justice. What about the tipton three? What about the dozens of people who were realesed after half a decade because these stooges in the pentagon have nothing on them. If they got evidence that shows that they are "unlawful combatants" then why dont they show that info or let the detanies challenge their detenction.. They didnt have any evidence against him either they tortured him for five years and he ended up pleading guilty to some bs charge and he got sentanced to 9 months. He is also not allowed to talk about his case to the media or talk about his treatment. This is what america has become. What a crock. This country is in a free fall worse than the roman empire. If david Hicks was an "unlawful combatant" if he was such a threat to america then WHY THE F DID THEY SENTANCE HIM TO 9 MONTHS IN JAIL. Use your brain.

First of all an illegal combatant is anyone who enters a war zone and starts fighting without any distinguishable marks (uniform, colors etc) This makes it hard to fight a conventional war, which sounds funny, but is an internatinal law. As for the "free fall" you talk about. Many AMericans believe the country has already reached rock bottom. We let in illegal immigrants, crime rates are high, our kids are getting dumber and half the country is too stupid to recognize a threat, even after 9/11. The best thing you can do to avoid this "free fall" is GET THE HELL OUT! I promise you that the US will be a better place without you.

I'll stop reading the Enquirer if you stop reading neo-Nazi newsletters. On reflection, I may misremember the exact numbers, but one million Nazis did NOT return from Russia. The numbers of German POWs who ever returned from Russia were an infintesimal percentage of those who invaded. This is not disputable. Even the Russians never bothered denying it. Well into the 1950s thousands of german POWs died in Siberia along with thousands of Russians who were deemed not to have fought quite hard enough against the Germans.This does NOTHING to dispute the fact that WWII most certainly was NOT won by allied air power but was basically a ground war. Even most big fans of air power would blanch at making such an outrageous claim. Since this will be my last post on the subject let me say that calling Kosovo a "war" is laughable. US air power was killing as many Serbian civilians as it was Serb troops, possibly more.
