What balls. The money confiscated by Israel in the name of the hollowcost wasn't dispursed in the first round. Who would benefit from the next round? Duh

63. 2nd Generation Shoa Victims
Veto Corleone ,   Montreal, Canada   (05.04.07)
As a 2nd generation postwar German I would like to sue the state of Israel for compensation for the harm done by them trying to make me feel guilty for something that I have not done.
64. Soooo, can I sue the alcohol companies for MY trauma??
Lus ,   New Mexico   (05.04.07)
I grew up the child of two alcoholic parents, and 4 alcoholic grandparents. Can I sue the alcohol companies for the traumas I suffered because of their products? Will they pay for MY therapy? For my multiple hospitalizations? For all the restoration dental work? For all my hours in ALATEEN meetings? For the many, many nights I spent asleep in the yard for fear of going home on "drunk pay-days?" WE are responsible for how we handle the fallout. Rise above, people, and take accountabilty. We all have to. Why are they any different?
65. #8 - Meaningless point
Dale ,   Canada   (05.04.07)
Yeah, you say that the German government recognized the great grandchildren of arab refugeess... You see, those arab refugees ARE STILL SUFFERRING due to your illegal occupation. What a joke this is..
66. Fair is Fair?
Dale ,   Canada   (05.04.07)
So when is the ISraeli government going to start compensating all of the victims of it's occupation and theft? Yeah, didn't think so....
67. COMPENSATION
STEVE ,   TORONTO   (05.04.07)
Shouldn't the Palestinians also qualify for compensation for the pain and suffering inflicted by Israel?
68. We need it more
elliott teel ,   toronto   (05.04.07)
Steve from Toronto asks-- Shouldn't the Palestinians also qualify for compensation for the pain and suffering inflicted by Israel? Steve, in a word ,no. Jews deserve more of the pie. The world owes us that. Palestinians are used to poverty anyway.
69. What a joke...
Dale ,   Canada   (05.04.07)
Steve, in a word ,no. Jews deserve more of the pie. The world owes us that. Palestinians are used to poverty anyway. ... I nearly puked in my mouth when I saw this. You HAVE to be being sarcastic? You can't possibly have this immense victim mentality where you think that everyone owes you.. do you? (Wait a minute, isn't that how you folks have gotten this far?)... I am going to setup a help line for all you... 1-800-BOO-FRICKIN-HOO ... (As soon as all the other injustices in the world are equal to YOURS, then the rest of the world should start to care).
70. Gideon's class action
joseph ,   catania,Italy   (05.05.07)
You' will win the legal action ..for sure. And all we know that is not correct. This is just another step forward in creating a new hate again Jews...By the way,,,don't be so sure that one day you will not pay everything to God....and now cancel this.
71. Elliot Teel...think before you speak
Lucy ,   New Mexico   (05.05.07)
Elliot teel said: Palestinians are used to poverty anyway. did you REALLY just say that? Do you have an editing feature in your brain at all? Why not compliment your ignorance, Marie Antoinette, by saying "Ethiopians are used to being hungry" Nice compassion, you ignorant prig.
72. 2nd generation in Germany
Claude Su ,   Berlin, Germany   (05.09.07)
I feel very sorry for the 2nd generation of Shoah victims, because I can understand their problems. But who thinks of the traumatized 2nd generation in Germany? I am 2nd generation of a nazi family and spend all my money, I earned, on 12 years of therapy to get over this trauma. Now you want me to pay also there treatment?! No I can´t, I am broke by now and the German goverment too. For how long do you want me feeling guilty for what my father and his generation did!? Do you want to pay my therapy from now on too? I think we should start to take responsibility for our own life and stop profiting of a "victim destiny".
73. second generation compensation
Arden ,   U.S.A.   (05.13.07)
This amounts to nothing more than an attempt at financial blackmail. Before 'demanding" compensation, jews should think about paying compensation to the Arabls whose land was stolen in 1948 and since then in the Gaza, West Bank, and the Golan.
74. Lawsuit: Recognize 2nd generation as Shoah victims
Felicia P. Zieff ,   Chicago, IL, USA   (05.22.07)
I would like to have the e-mail address of the organization in Israel who is sponsoring this lawsuit. I've had several inquiries about this here in the U.S. I've tried calling the phone number in Israel, but was not able to get through. Can you please provide me with the e-mail or regular mail address in Israel? Thank you. Felicia P. Zieff Association of Descendants of the Shoah - IL, Inc. Chicago, IL, USA
75. Stop this now!
MK ,   Berlin, Germany   (05.24.07)
What a crazy and ill thing. I'm a German, born in the early 80s. What's about me? Why should I pay for the children of the Shoa? Trauma? What's about my life? I was maltreaten by my stepfather, beaten by him a lot of times. I was crying every single night. But I will never get "compensation" and that's all right, even if I was really a victim but the "second generation" is not. So don't cry as a baby for "compensation" you have no right to. How many people in world experience really bad threatment (violence, no food etc)? Too much of course.

81. Second Generation Survivor in need
Irene Marsha Album ,   Westchester, USA   (08.14.07)
My two grown brothers and I have suffered all of our lives. The holocaust has cast a dark shadow on our childhoods and now adulthoods. Our mother survived Aushwitz/ Berkenauer(sp)as an 15 year old orphan (parents and two sisters killed when separated and put on the gas chamber line.) She came to America where she lived with her aunt/uncle until 18. Upon coming to America, she was suffered a nervous breakdown. As the oldest child (born when my mother, at 23 , was married merely a year and the holocaust was still fresh. I was named after my dead maternal grandmother exactly. I was always reminded and expected to live up to my namesake's perfected beauty, grace, intelligence, elegence, etc. I suffered and still do from extremely poor self-esteem depression, free-floating anxiety and the deeply-ingrained, unconscious role to cast myself as the victim/ the underdog. I have been in therapy for at least 30 years (on and off), became infertile, and now at the age of 55 also take medication to fight these symptoms which have been the albatross around my neck for all of my life. Burdened for life by my mother' s guilt associated with being the sole survivor. I have always been ordered to: put other's needs before my own, not to be too successful, not to be too happy (laughter was an extravagence." ) As a teen, when I had neck/back pain and first complained to the "family" doctor that I always felt depressed, I was told that "my mother has had a terribly traumatized life and I was not to upset her with my own emotional turmoil." I also had the responsibility since my Dad worked nights of sitting with my Mom to ensure she did not get upset when sh/we watched the televised Eichman trials. While the Holocaust has taken its toll on both of my brothers, the youngest (50 yrs.)suffers the most of the three of us, mentally and physically, and professionally. He is a college drop out and has never resolved his related psychological problems now functionning at a low level professionally and personally, My middle brother was less touched but also has fear of success. But, for me , the oldest child, a female, it was the worst. To this day, I feel like I am my mother's mother instead of the other way around. Mom (Gertrude Engel Album) is turning 78 this week and we still have a difficult relationship because of the guilt/suffering/loss. My troubled brother and I have terrible self-esteem because we could never live up to the expectations... we could never be as good as our dead granparents and aunts. Finally, as a young adult, I came to love Germany when I travelled often during the late eighties/nineties on business travel. I made close friends; yet on every trip... I still fear and refuse to use public transportation. Please take responsibility for the traumas we have endured as second generation holocaust survivors. Please tell me how to get involved so our children's children will embrace Germany and Germans as I wish I could.

I would like to learn more about this. I suffered from being over-protection in my childhood. I knew it was because my Mom was in 3 different camps. I would like to learn more about this. I now live in Southern Germany. I moved here about 5 years ago. Tks. Rose Kuest

86. Second Generation Survivor
Michaela ,   Lautertal Germany   (01.11.13)
I am the daughter of a survivor of the holocaust (my father and grandmother were both in Birkenau and my father did the march to Auschwitz). I believe through a series of divine providence I ended up moving to Germany almost 8 years ago. I lived for a year in Nurnberg and currently reside not far from Frankfurt. This has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life for more than just the obvious reasons! Suffice to say that initially the decison to come here with my husband and two children almost cost me the relationship to my family. I believe that it is high time to create healing and forgiveness for all humanity and the transgressions that so many beautiful souls have sustained either during the war or presently. No matter what money is not n'or will ever be the solution to what ails anyone who has ever been a victim of violent opposition of any kind. Our abilitly to heal by forging the long overdue need to forgive will. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss with or meet other people who share the same or similar backround as myself to dialogue further on the subject. If you are reading this and know of anyone I might be able to contact in the Frankfurt area, I would greatly appreciate it.
87. Second generation survivor
Astrid von Sommaruga ,   Auckland, New Zealan   (10.21.13)
I am a second generation survivor. I have a Jewish grandmother. My father left Berlin as a refugee in 1936 aged 15. After going to England, being interned he migrated to Auckland NZ. I am interested in hearing about the availability for compensation for therapy as this has been essential for most of my adult life
88. It's not worth it!
Daniel ,   Jerusalem   (10.22.13)
I personally wouldn't ask the Germans for a spare tissue. From all the "the Jews just want money" talkbacks, I would just stay away from the Germans and our Eastern European Catholic "friends" who were the main collaborators. They were dangerous back then, and I wouldn't be surprised if not much has changed.
89. I am a 2nd Generation adult. I need help. Severe trauma
Jed Klein ,   Kingston, MA.,USA   (12.16.14)
I am a second generation adult child of a concentration camp survivor. I suffered a traumatic childhood from my father whom is a holocaust survivor. He inflicted terrible damage to his wife and his two sons. I got no help. I a suffer every single day. Please advise me to how I can receive help or be interviewed for the class action suit to help those in my position. In the US there seems to be a terrible disconnect from so called Jewish philanthropies and people like myself whom need help. They offer nothing. Absolutely nothing. It is a terrible disgrace. I am serious. Please advise. I am begging for help. Jed Klein
