I'm sorry but you cannot do much to a guerilla movement with air strikes. The biggest failing in the war was to rely only on airstrikes until the very end. The ground troops should have gone in within the first couple of days and pushed solidly forward to the Litani. Not put in and pulled out again and again like jack-in-the-boxes and being forced to take and re-take the same places again and again. Statements from the White House and the EU Parliament are not enough. These people will not listen to such statements. You need to read these people their rights. In public. On radio and television. Therefore they cannot choose to follow leaders who promote human rights. There are more commercials on Israeli and western television for soap and tooth paste, hair colour, deodorants, and holidays in exotic destinations than there are serious debates about the determination for universal human rights in the Middle East.
