But the people existed , their towns were there , or was Warsaw build only after 1918 when the Polish republic was created ? No of course . As to the actual people that committed these pograms, this is highly debateable. Were the Russians performing this task, or were Poles, Ukrainians, Belorussians, Lithuanians doing it? Very difficut to prove. A historical fact is, the Russian government instigated these pogroms using Russian police. During the 19th century, Poles were also killed and persecuted by the Russians.

It's more about the geographical location where those facts happened , and this will not say that Poles instigated or commited them .
