Kassams are weapons of choice for these killers because they are so inaccurate they can ONLY be used for "countervalue" strikes (e.g., killing people eating dinner). They are useless for "counterforce" strikes (destroying the other side's military assets). You're doubly confused, though, papa. Just because some group is weak, it does not follow that it is virtuous or that its cause is just. I suppose this subtlety escapes you.

Imagine if German freedom fighters from Kehl were firing rockets from the Weststrasse into Strasbourg to encourage the French to end their occupation of the Alsace! In a perfect world, the French would just suck it up and talk about land concessions. For all the use that the UN is in instituting or keeping peace since its founding, perhaps Israel should one good long range missile with a nuclear warhead right into the UN building. This will create more peace.
