They kissed the Russian tanks because they believed they would be freed from this polish anti jewish oppression . France had less than half of her Jews murdered . Danemark less than 5 % , Bulgaria had no of her Jewish citizens deported . Poland , allmost all the Jews perihed . And the germans knew very well why they had to install those death camps in Poland . This was my answer to an antisemite , other of your tb's prove it .

Hiya Charlie (if I may) :) Well, first of all, I DO appreciate your input here, and if I say or said something insulting to you - I hope you are not insulted. They kissed the Russian tanks ... freed from polish anti jewish oppression . Charles, now you really crossed the line. IF, and again IF, well, I say that if again IF they (you) lived in such a nasty, antisemitic place, where everybody around was an enemy: tell me, WHY they (you) lived there in this openly hostile and antisemitic country for EIGHT HUNDRED YEARS?!?! Why? "And the germans knew very well why they had to install those death camps in Poland . " I thought you were smarter than that. I thought I did find someone (from the 'other' side) to talk to. Apparently I was wrong. One wise-ass prime min of yours said over 20 ago that every Pole sucked his/her antisemitism with mother's milk. I personally find it the other way around. I spent 27 years in Poland, never hear a WORD against Jews. You are born with antipolonism, you are fed antipolonism since you are a baby, you grow up with antipolonism, you become man/woman with antipolish views. You HATE anything start with P probably. To this day, when I am on the phone with my family there (in Poland) and start speaking about Jewish's antipolonism my family tell me to shut up because 'I imagine things'. They simply don't know what is going on.

No dear friend , i do not hate everything that begins with P . I do not support false arguments , [regarding the number of Jews deported from France for example ] I have read that Jews could not recuperate their houses , only after paying hughe sums for their "maintenance" [ this was unther the communist rule ] Listen , i gave you numbers of Jews killed in Poland after the war , in pogroms . You came with war "atrocities" comitted by Jews in 39 . Did they kill Poles only for being Poles ? Or was this during fighting ? Did they kill weak people ? or fighters ? Those are questions , not affirmations , but i would like a truely honest response . I told you that there were more than 6000 Righteous Poles honored by Yad Vashem , the greatest number of all . Someone said to me , that there were a little bit less than 3000 righteous Dutch people , but with a Jewish population 15 times smaller than the Polish one . A greater proportion thus [ in Holland also the number of assassinated Jews was very high , but there are other reasons for this . You had to register you religious affiliation at the city hall , and this untill the 90's . This facilitated of course this sinister crime ] During 27 years you did'nt hear anti Jewish words in Poland , i've heard other things . Also pro Jewish , i admit , honestely . I won't talk about the communist Anti Jewish and anti Israeli positions . This was only bad East West politics , and i won't reproach this on the Poles . Regarding the fact that Jews lived in Poland for 800 years ,[ lets say in the region called Poland today , for this Lady from Tarnow ] There were periods were Jews could live peacefully there, as everywhere in Europe . I do'nt know if in those periods there were wealthy Jews there , so i do'nt know if they could be dispossessed of their properties , as they were in other parts of Europe . Later on they had to stay there i think [ pale off settlement , unther russian rule ] , and where could they go ? when there was a possibility for them , as a 100 years ago , they did it , and we are again at our starting point : Jews leaving this region .

why the hell simple discussion about politenes, manners in such plase like Aushwitz turns into blaming Poles with antisemitism?! I can't believe anybody can accept making telephone calls from this place:( People! go there, see it, pray, but please behave! How could you in even imagine calling mom, buddies from GAS CHAMBER! it's misseducation at least... Do they knew where they've been? Shock... 'bout the way you try to "discuss" with Poles: isn't it anything but clear anti-polonism? Just: "shut up, you, Poles, killed many Jews", " You have no right to speak". It's not this way. hope you're meaningless minority of Jews or it's just a low provocateur... I can assure you such antisemitism like you imagine in Poland is only in your sick mind. But reading this forum I found hardcore antipolonism in Izrael and US Jews

The Trips to Poland in Yod Bet are a huge expence for the Ministry of Education and the individual family. In addition to that it creates a division in school between the haves and have nots. There are enough divisions without this unnecessary division. Also the money used by the ministry for the trip could be used elsewhere to benefit the entire popularion. I personally think the trips are a scam someone is getting rich from this. Rather than go to Poland, Use the resources in Israel. VIsit Yad Va Shem and Lo Hame ahd Ghettaot. Have the kids do research projects. Why should we enrich the Polish tourist industry.

before calling home on your phone while in or around the gas chambers. When I visited the camps the age of universal cell phone coverage wasnt apon us yet. I dont think it is really the time or place for it. If you must call then do it quitely to the side someplace. But I dont think the poles are rude for addressing the problem, however Im sure that there are other nationalities that do it also. I would just think that the Israelis tend to do it more often. Maybe because others would be scared to offend jews, but who would the jews offend? other jews? Best off for everone would be a simple sign in a few different languages asking for phones to be switched off like in a movie theater Oh and by all means drape yourself in whatever flag you like

i am shocked at the amount of anti-Polonism that is exhibited here. I am shocked that so many Jews have no idea about their history - and about that Poles had nothing to do with Holocaust, and never participated in it in any way (unlike France or Hungary). Polish people have their faults: Kielce pogrom, Jedwabne, and March 68 - total of 160 victims. But it were the GERMANS who operated the mass scale murders as part of their plan to cleanse the Earth of people they thought were subhuman: like Jews and Poles. And now Jews treat Poles like subhuman, and are ready to accuse everyone f anti-semitism even if they are only pointing to such an outrageous behaviour as talking on mobile in a place where millions of Jews AND POLES were murdered. What do they teach you on history classes? Do you know anything about history of Jews in Poland? And don't worry Poland doesn't profit from these visitis, in fact due to Israeli teenagers behavious hotels don't want to have them any more. I think the gas chambers should be treated as holy ground similar to Ground Zero in NYC. These are places innocent people were killed by evil people. They are places where the living may want quiet and peace in which to grieve, pray, reflect, etc. As a mark of respect cell phones & pagers should be silenced. Voices should be low. As far as wearing the Israeli Flag, I can't see what the big deal is. They are proud to be free Jews in a country where their ancestors were murdered. I think it's very appropriate. I don't believe that many Poles had anything to do with running the camps. The Nazis considered the Poles an inferior race. Poles were shipped to slave labor camps to produce items for the Nazi military.

You are right about the silence-should-be attitude. People died there and acting like a pop-rock star there is simply wrong. None Pole has anything to do with running camps. Poles were usually, if not always, the first 'guests of honor' to those camps. Poland is probably THE ONLY country that did not collaborate openly with Germans and traded her Jews in (vide France, Hungary). As for wearing the flag... See, they (Jews) see us, Poles, as an enemy. They are fed their BS propaganda from the crib, and when they visit German camps on Polish soil they demonstrate what they should not. Jews were not only victims of the past war and they took a part in extermination of Poles. Eastern part of Poland lost thousands because of their open collaboration with Soviets. To me, seeing such a punk wrapped in a flag, screaming something in Hebrew (most likely insults toward me) is like a slap in a face - "My granpa killed your grandpa and yet we made YOU look bad, ha ha ha".

"...hundreds of plastic water bottles were dumped on the ground and inbetween the railway tracks.. They were all walking around draped in Israeli flags etc I got the feeling the death of the Auschwitz victims was being 'monopolised' by the visitors who showed an utter lack of respect and dignity... So. What will happen if hundreds of UK youths will come to Birkenau? Will you arrange the garbage cans in order to keep the territory clean of the empty water bottles on an unusual hot day and on any other day? What’s wrong of being rapped in Israeli flag in this place? Why don’t the Europeans send their youths to learn the History as Jews are doing? By the way you are right: death of the Auschwitz victims was being 'monopolized' by Jewish kids because only Jewish parents are ready to pay big money for these trips in order to keep the memory of this tragedy. And if you don’t like youths’ behavior don’t label it an Israeli character as there are many Jewish kids are participating in the March of Living from the other Countries.

Anna, throwing an empty can or bottle inside of Louvre, Paris, would be consider as an 'oops, not right' act, would it? Most of camps, German Nazi camps, in Europe are museums these days. Whoever dumps garbage there, one is nothing but a selfish pig. Jewish parents pay big money for the tripts to Poland so their kids could visit camps. Sure. And WHO gets rich on those trips? Museum? it is free to access. Guides? They probably do get some pennies for couple of hours of talking and talking and talking. Who else? Jewish parents in Israel are paying big money to another Jews in Israel, noone in Poland is actually getting a good deal because of those trips (vide hotels owners cancelling Israelis due to their behaviour in Polish hotels - shtiting on beds and in sinks). And last: 'March of the Living' is looooong called 'March of the Hate' in Poland, for Israelis offer and show nothing but HATE toward locals.
