I don't quite agree with you. A simple example is the seperation fence, which was originally intended (as declared by Israelis) at preventing attacks on Israelis. It later became clear to everybody that its' main purpose is to rob more Palestinian lands, as well as satisfy the Israeli Physcho of living behind walls. There is no excuse for rude checks anywhere, also not at Ben Gurion. This is an area that truly needs repair! However, the reason why anyone gets checked as detailed as they do in Israel or on flights to Israel is a totally different issue. The doctor was chosen for a stupid and ineffective random check, the minimum one could ask for is proper behaviour, or not?

As someone who is on over 100 flights a year I can say that Yediot doesn't know what they are reporting and the respectable Dr. is a bit off. She was examined by a GE machine that sprays air for 20 seconds to detect explosive particles, she was selected most likely do to her ticket (might have had a stop over in NY), one in 30 people are selected, more or less and it isn't do to her passport. Her description sounds hysterical, I have gone through the same process despite flying on an American passport, it isn't fun but it isn't demeaning, she wasn't the only one to go through the process, it wasn't done upon seeing her Israeli passport (it is marked on the boarding pass) and she should get over it and go back to treating her patients

I have dual citizenship (US and Israeli). Had more trouble in Ben-Gurion with my Israeli passport than traveling in US. I travel once a month and US customs know where I'm going. The US security sometimes strip search members of US congress. Years ago I was undergoing strip search on different ocasions in Frankfurt airport on the way to TLV.Not a big deal.

I think it was because I am a white practicing Christian. I should not have been subjected to this because my country is fighting alongside the United States in both Afghanistan and Iraq. When Israeli soldiers can strip seach fully accredited diplomats, then Israelis can be treated the same. Persobnally I would subject every Israeli to strip searches when entering the UK. I would also destroy their laptops, like what happens at Ben Gurion airport.

My 15 years old child was harrased in BG. The security asked if my child speaks Hebrew and member of the temple. What it have to do with security??? I had Israeli passport. And it was 3 hours before the flight out of Israel. Not a single ? on the entry to Israel.
