Peace Now just got fined for slander. A Jerusalem judge ruled Wednesday that Peace Now must pay 58,000 shekels ($14,336) to Aryeh King after slandering him on the left-wing Peace Now website. The group had claimed that King, a well-known activist for Jewish settlement in eastern Jerusalem, had announced that he planned to break the law by bringing 40 Jewish families to live in an area that lacked building approvals. The site called King a racist and a fascist, and accused him of threatening the peace of Jerusalem and leading to its “Hevronization.” The judge found that Peace Now’s allegations were false and slanderous, and ordered the group to pay the full penalty required by law. (As reported by INN) Amnesty international admits its bias, although it attempts to disguise it by stating that they expect more from states (Israel) than militants. This would not stand in a court of law. Just because someone acts beyond the law does not excuse him from equal treatment in sentencing.

What a farce this Amnesty (not so) International. I personally know a few members of this group in the States, they diehard leftists, and some long term socialists and communists at heart. They are against corps, and for big govt. As far as Israel, this entire report is a joke. They condemn the US at times for our racial bigotry...and we just ignore them. If I were Olmert, I would give them 24hrs to leave the country or face a firing squad. These people don't care about why the wall, or the check points. Maybe Israel should show them the graves of people killed by suicide (children) bombers, or take them to the Erez Crossing, which just saw mortar attacks, injuring a few soldiers. I would not dignify them by reporting in any Israeli newspaper. What army are they members of? How many legions does the Pope have applies to them. The questions alleging to the perceived bias in the reports are fair and hard, however the follow up is nil. in other words when asked as to why 7 demands of Israel while only 1 of the Palestinian authority constitutes as bias is brushed off with an innocuous "Israel is a state while the PA is a militant organization". Intelligent question (i would like to think): When asked why the expectations of a state are higher then expected of the militants conducting systematic attacks with the declared aim of destroying and obliterating said state the answer is alwayes the same; "We condemn but do not expect." Ma'am, isn't it fair to expect a complete destruction of a subversive element of a destructive society especially as it holds back the obvious mobility of said society into a democratic and productive entity? simply; If the PA is to be a state why would you treat it otherwise? and if you were to agree that Israel is fighting MILITANTS then why would you disagree as to the methods undertaken to protect its citizens from a clearly violent organization?? While they are protesting checkpoints, why don't they criticize airports for security checks that have resulted in long lines and wasted time? Oh, Amnesty would reply that airport checkpoints are necessary because of terrorism and the hijacking of 9-11, but Israeli checkpoints only protect Jewish lives which are far less important than inconveniencing Palestinians. It's time for Israel to stand up to these lying monsters and make life so miserable for them that they'll go live with their Hamas and Hezzbollah friends.

before the wall existed, from 2000-2003 about 1000 israelis died in terror attacks eminating from the west bank and gaza. since the wall has been built, the rate of deaths by terrorist attacks has slowed considerably this WALL OF LIFE saves lives.
