I was a little uneasy reading this report. What constitutes a Jew? Is it by birth and therefore herditary, is it by faith, therefore a personal choice? Is it by birth - born in Israel? This sounds fine at first sight, but it raises some difficult questions about human rights. What about the many Christians living in Israel, will they have any land rights? Interesting . . .

The 'offended' Arab MK's and their fellow travelers should stick their noses into the real offenders - the RASCIST Muslim/Arab countries where Jews can't even step foot into! I remember as a little child, that my grandfather always told me how his father donated money to JNF so JNF could buy land in Israel. This land belongs to him, and to all other jews who donated money all those years. arabs don't have any claim on this soil. it belongs only to the jewish people.

Lets see a Jew try to buy land in Arab countries (where hundreds of thousands of Jews did live before the late 1940s). In Yehuda v'Shomron, Arabs have been killed for selling land to the Jews. In Jordan, selling the land to Jews is illegal. Yet Arabs have over 20 states and tons of land. Dude, you better wise up and appreciate all the good that the Jewish State has done for you and yours. Israeli Jewish population will only continue to become more hardened, because of the environment it's living in and the genocidal plans of plenty of Arabs. This particular bill is only one indication of the trend.

in a racist society such as the middle east, sometimes Israel needs to institute its own brand of racism, if folks want to call it that. When the environment around Israel changes, then Israel will feel safe and protected should she loosen her rules. Until that time, I call it preservation of self. Let's not kid ourselves. The moslem countries in the middle east are some of the more barbaric places on earth, with regards to women's rights and xenophobia and Jew hatred. It's understandable that Israel should need to react in such a way. Israel isn't sitting in the middle of Europe or in Canada or South America, so stop trying to compare her actions as if that were the case. Israel is the closest thing to democracy in the middle east and is home to such a wide array of peoples who are free to practice their religions however they like. Don't take adavantage of her.
