61. Resis the immoral order to evacuate Jews
Maj. Reuven Bar-On ,   Rosh Ha'Ayin   (08.06.07)
As a retired Major from the IDF soldiers are allowed by Shatz (IDF's military code of laws) to disobey immoral orders or what they think to be immoral orders. To evacuate Jews from the oldest Jewish 'settlement' in the Land of Israel is immoral. I as an officer would definitely disobey such an order, and I beg all other officers and soldiers to do the same. This irresponsible and dangerous process must be stopped one way or another. Disobey!!!
62. They are doing the right thing
DR   (08.06.07)
Olfart go home
63. "Following orders"
Steven ,   San Francisco   (08.06.07)
to perpetrate an evil is immoral.
64. Finally They Grew Some BALLS!
Jew ,   Eretz Israel   (08.06.07)
I find it amazing how so many religious soldiers blindly participated in kicking out their brothers from Gush Katif - refusal was minimal even among the religious. Hopefully, that will change now. And those talking about Zionism and IDF... - please shut your traps - Zionism is settling Eretz Israel with Jews - not kicking them out of it!!!!!!!!!
65. "We are Jewish First...then Israeli..."
(08.06.07)
These are the words of our prime minister. The problem is the PM does not know how to act according to his statement. Perhaps he should learn from our soldiers.
66. #53 - Doing the right thing?
Barry ,   Yerushalayim   (08.06.07)
I guess if you support Hamas and the end of the Jewish State they were doing the right thing, unless I read it incorrectly a Kassam just landed in Sderot, I don't know maybe it came from a destroyed Jewish home. Silly Jews look at the reverse situation, would you ever in your wildest dreams think that Arab soldiers would evacuate other Arabs and give land to Jews. Chazak V'ematz and we'll ovrecome this cookoo govt.
67. #9
(08.06.07)
my dear ger, it is because of people like yourself, a jew against another jew living in the jewish land, belonging to the jewish land by deed, history and right. it is because of israelis like yourself that jews living in israel will finally pack up their bags, shut the light and enter the diaspora again, having no land to call home and no land to represent them. you israelis do not realize what you'll be giving up through your actions and your cowtowing to arab demands. we in america see it. we know what the outcome will be. the arabs and their fake claims have caused a riff in the israeli citizenship and this is exactly their hope. to divide the country and make one jew against the other. don't you see that when there is division within a society, it eventually collapses. one turns against the other and the arabs are sitting on the side cheering you fools for doing the dirty work for them.
68. As a Jew...
Yoel   (08.06.07)
I would behave the same way as these soldiers. It's quite amazing to use Army for expelling your own Citizens! IDF is setup and organized to protect them. Another thing: for some of us (I hope a majority), Hebron hosts a Holly site, and I would never wish it to be transformed into a mosque as Palestinians did for Gazan Synagogues, or Yoseph's grave! If we consider it as a Jewish Land, this is a job for Police, and NOT Army! I consider those 30 Soldiers as Heroes, who own some "Sechel", and don't follow orders as Blind and stupids...
69. I Applaud the Heroism of These IDF Refusniiks!
Scott Neuman ,   Okemos, MI   (08.06.07)
Sharon and Olmert's policies in using the IDF to oppress Jews has caused many Jews who support Israel to stop supporting the Friends of the IDF. Olmert and his band of thugs, called government officials, have taken out the spirit that always has been supportive of Israel and its actions. The Jews live in the market area of Hebron have as much right to live there as the Jews living in Tel Aviv. If one doesn't have the right then neither does the other. These brave soldiers should receive a medal for standing up for Zionism and Judaism.
70. to #7 Adam Shapiro
Rob ,   NY, Galut   (08.06.07)
Congratulations to you for bringing honor to the name "Adam Shapiro". I hope you speak out louder than the Jew who helped Arafat, so when people hear your name they only think good things.
71. WE MUST THANK THE BRAVE IDF WHO REFUSE STUPIED THINGS.
MIKE HAMEN ,   usa   (08.06.07)
72. Forcible evacuation from Hebron
Oskar Prager ,   Petach Tikva   (08.06.07)
Wonderful News ! Finally at least 1000 IDF troops from a specialised unit is arriving to expel with terrific force 2 (only two) families from Hebron market. How many troops will be needed to expel 250,000 residents from Yehuda and Shomron ? 3 million ? And whilst all this is going on Quassam rockets fall on Sderot in the yard of a kindergarten whilst Olmert does nothing - probably blames Ehud Barak for doing nothing. But then everyone knows Barak is a coward after all ,he left Lebanon in a great hurry and threw his erstwhile allies from there to the Hizbulla wolves. So all come to Israel and live in this wonderful fairyland.
73. KOL HA KAVOD! WE ARE WITH YOU!
Efi ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (08.06.07)
DON'T HELP THE LEFTISTS FINISH WHAT THE ARABS STARTED IN 1928!
74. Prime Minister Olmert is disgracing our army
Steve ,   US   (08.06.07)
I cannot believe Mr. Olmert is sending our soldiers to expel Jews. Haven't we learned anything since the Gaza expulsion? Thank God for these soldiers who will not obey immoral orders. Thank God for their rabbis that give them moral and spiritual counsel. These are men who want to fight our enemies; not our fellow Jews. This is a national disgrace.
75. no Jew should leave
frank morris ,   lawrenceburg tn   (08.06.07)
this is crazy, again the jewish people our leaving there land again, G-d is not behind this, Mr, Olmert, needs to get before G-d and repent for even asking for his people tp leave, this Land that he freely gives up is land that he gave to thye Jewish people, not that Arabs, palenstine never, dont give back the land, trust in the L-rd not man, repent before its to late.
76. A Jew does not expell another Jew from his home.
Guy   (08.06.07)
77. Thank you for defending our freedom
Rafael ,   Yerushalayim   (08.06.07)
Court marshall? Jail? These are all far better alternatives than forcing innocent Jews from their homes for the sake of corrupt politicians and their corrupt polotical agendas. Yashar koach to the soldiers refusing these immoral orders. Thank you for defending our freedom.
78. #61- Major Reuven Bar-On: You are a man of honor
Howard K ,   NYC   (08.06.07)
79. Free legal represent. for patriotic IDF who refuse orders
Michelle ,   Vancouver   (08.06.07)
Israel National News reports that activist Attorney Aviad Vissouly announced Monday that he is prepared to represent, free of charge, any IDF soldiers indicted for refusing orders relating to the forced eviction of Jews from Hevron's Shalhevet neighborhood.
80. MKs voted against the Sudanese expulsion
Debbie ,   Seattle   (08.06.07)
But expelling Jews is OK with them.
81. When A Soldier Is Cheered On To 'Refuse'
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (08.06.07)
The posters here have it all backwards - when a 'peoples army' starts attacking its own people it becomes a poison onto them. It perverts their core mandate - to protect the rights of JEWS in their homeland. This refusal has zero to do with truly disobeying orders. The left wing 'refusers' don't want to FIGHT THE ENEMY? Where's the (im)moral equivalence between the two? The left screams about NOT destroying PA Arab homes. The soldiers/officers in relation to the Arabs are EXPECTED to refuse such orders that supposedly harm innocent Arab 'civilians'.Are Arabs more precious than Jews to IDF forces? So whch army is this - the one who CAN'T refuse harming Jews, or the one who MUST refuse harming Arabs?? Get back to me on this one.
82. Troops Refuse tp Evacuate Hebron Families
Daniel Green ,   Texas, U.S.A.   (08.06.07)
This Land Belongs to the Jews, not anyone else. You & the world all have this in writing. Israel has belonged to the Jews long before the word "Palestine" ever came into existance. The one true God gave you this Land & no One, Jew or Arab, will take it away from you without sever consiquences. This applies to any one or group who tries to take it from you. God keeps his word. Your Army & elected Officials all need to read about what God said about Isreal after 1948. It is time to make a stand against anyone who tries to go against Gods Word. The winning side is the God of Israel.
83. This is a warm-up exercise
I. Schreiber   (08.06.07)
While the undemocratic Israeli government plots with foreigners for the surrender of Jewish land, the new Minister of Defense is testing his forces for the big job ahead of uprooting thousands of Jews. Israelis - IDF and civilians - show the government that there will be no more expulsions because the Jews will resist following suicidal, illegal and inmoral orders.
84. Heroes!
David ,   Brooklyn, USA   (08.06.07)
These soldiers are heroes. May God bless each and every one of them!
85. would King David allow himself to be expelled?
jack bauer ,   usa   (08.06.07)
There is no reason that jews should expel other jews from the lands of Israel. But that said if they are to be expelled then it should be left to the police, and not the army. This is just one of the many steps toward giving terror the lands of Israel piece by piece. The real issue is that the title deeds to the lands of Israel are help by G-d(not allah the arab pagan moon god) and these are leased to the jews till the end of time. If you lease a house, you are not entitled to sell it. Especially to an enemy of the true owner. (no matter what olmert, bush and condi might say)
86. Hebron is Jewish holy land. Good for soldiers.
David ,   Boston, USA   (08.06.07)
I dont understand this. When the Arabs and British kicked us out of Hebron it was disgusting. Why should Israel be removing Jews from Eretz Yisrael? Who owned the stores prior to 1929? Hebron is for Jews, but can be shared with others.
87. I'm confused
Michael   (08.07.07)
When leftists refused to serve in Judea & Samaria during the intifada. Because it was against their morals, then it was well you have to understand its a dilema for them. No talk about it endangering the Status of the IDF. Now, the soldiers who feel the same way are being treated iby the media as disloyal ,sinister people. Why the difference? Anyone who can't understand their dilema is missing a component that every person has. That is morals. After World War 2, when Nazis who were caught claimed they were just following orders. Did that defense work? No, the world didn't accept that answer. Every Yom Hashoah we say never forget. what does it mean? There are many lessons to be learnt. Have we really learned anything?
88. Soldiers obedience to orders.
C. LeFevre ,   Tampa USA   (08.08.07)
It is wrong to expect religious IDF soldiers to participate is the expulsion or eviction of fellow Jews from land they own. There are plenty of soldiers to use for this since the IDF is tasked with this, which I don't think the army should be doing.
89. Today is the 2nd aniversary of HURRICANE KATRINA
malachai ,   new york   (08.08.07)
American still has not learned it's lesson, bush continues to push for the expulsion of jews from israel in order to appease the arab terrorists for their oil. there are many more katrinas comming, and arab oil will cause a catastrophic global warming that will punish western civilization for supporting the arab war against the jews.
