I can't provide you with the information you want because I'm not gay so whatever information I have gained is what you could gain yourself, from talk shows, reading, surfing and if indeed you know anyone who's gay. I've seen programs where they've interviewed people who are gay who said why would they makes their life more difficult and complicated by being gay but they are gay because it's a fact of life, like your eye color being the color it is, or the color your natural hair-color.
