this woman did not commit suicide in prison. she was murdered, and it was covered up, no different than Zahra Kazemi, a canadian-iranian journalist who was also arrested and thrown in jail (albeit for taking pictures). I am totally void of hatred. Hatred is a disease which in the long run only poisons the one who harbors it and not the recipient or the target. I have complete contempt for the Haredim, and I stress only for the Haredim. This contempt arises from the fact that they have appointed themselves as keepers and sole arbiters of the Jewish religion and when they do not get their way through persuasion or coercion they resort to violence. Unfortunately you are right. I have a friend in Nazareth who I have known for over 40 years. He is Moslem. When I come to visit him, as I am on his doorstep, about to enter his home, the women all rise up and leave to another room without even one word spoken. IF the Ayatollahs of Iran want to introduce "morality" like "no kissing in public" -- it SHOULD be done through arguments based on reason and logic, ONLY. WHEN morality is introduced with the THREATS of detention, fine or jail sentence -- than that is considered to be uncivilized. The Ayatollahs should NOT engage in terrorism against its OWN citizens. If strict Islamic law enforces its people to live as a mindless obediant mass of non-individuals, then what is the point of living? What enjoyment is there in life? Some of these people devote each day to subjecting as many people as they can to sharia law. What a wonderful life that is to eat, sleep, and breathe death to everyone who doesn't behave. What a wonderful model for the whole world to follow. I can't believe that we actually live on the same planet as these 14th century throwbacks.
