91. So much bias here wrapped up in fake sentiment !!
redmiike ,   tel aviv and london   (11.19.07)
Why don't the people here that criticize Israels actions concern themselves with much much greater abuses and tragedies. The news and pictures coming from Bangladesh are truly heartbreaking. The miners in the Ukraine. The human rights and torture occurring all over the world. Let the people that criticize Israel here ask themselves why they are not looking at the other problems instead. If they cared so much about 'life' they could be doing so much more than posting here! They are hypocrites! MIke
92. #35 You haven't been paying attention
Lina ,   USA   (11.19.07)
Why would you expect Israelis to open their hospitals and hearts to people intent on murdering them? You obviously have your head in the sand if you think the Palestinians "pose little to no threat." It's time the Palestinians built their own hospitals or worked out an agreement with Egypt for this care so this doesn't happen again.
93. well its more than sad
husam ,   berlin,germany   (11.19.07)
well gaza has boards with egypt but they r not allowed to open it till israel give the green light i am a palestinian and i wa in gaza and i can tell u guys that the people in decision making they dont care bout the real peace many says stop lunching rockets on israel but no one said stop killing the palestinian every day more and more dies and this will only make more hate between both sides i am a palestinian who has a problem in knies since i was in the 5th class because an israeli satler who has hate against arabs broke it and i dont have hate against u guys but we need to be fair in making decisions and comments

israeli ,   israel   (11.19.07)
#88 - "resources of the land" in Gaza? what resources? and if Gaza had any resources, why is it always begging for food, medicine, cash, why does it need electricity and water from Israel? #93 - so you got in and out of Gaza? that is Israel let you in and out? or were you smuggled via tunnels?
95. Thanks #84 Robby
sabra   (11.19.07)
many talkbaks don t represent religius or human being values ...this is sad . polititions , education sistem and media , are resposible for that
96. Why can't Gaza build good hospitals with its billions?
James ,   Toronto   (11.19.07)
The Palestinians have received literally billions of dollars in international aid. This is more money than the US spent on the Marshall Plan or the Berlin Airlift. Why, instead of spending all this money on bombs and rockets, couldn't some of it be spent on building a first-class hospital? Just one hospital?
97. Should have went to Cuba
Johnson ,   USA   (11.19.07)
98. #95 Sabra - Your Welcome - I am ashamed!
Robby ,   San Jose, USA   (11.19.07)
Being a Zionist should not make us cruel and in humane.
99. Silly Ellen Prescott, #35
Lincoln ,   Jerusalem   (11.19.07)
Ellen Prescott had me in stitches with her ridiculous statements. Palestinians are decent people who want the best for their children? Every Palestinian mother hopes that her children will become suicide bombers. They hope and pray that their children will die young and in the process murder innocent Israelis. These wonderful parents allow their babies to be photographed wearing pretend suicide belts, and let their children march in the street carrying real guns. Spare us, Ellen. And as for her other out of this world remark: "It is high time for Israelis to stop fearing Arabs, who pose little to no threat and, if you get to know them you'll realise all you've been missing." That is just laugh out loud funny. They pose little to no threat? Pretty funny considering that the border police catch would-be suicide bombers every day desperate to murder us all. Believe me, Ellen, we know what we've been missing. And we don't want any part of it.

What has this poor Arab man to do with the idiots of Hamas ?
101. Gerhard, #100
israeli ,   israel   (11.19.07)
you ask what this poor man has to do with the idiots of Hamas. Just like the Nazis in Germany (no finger pointing here, really) Hamas was democratically elected. In fact it was a landslide victory for Hamas. Not only that, Hamas troops stormed Gaza last summer and are now ruling supreme. They wanted democracy, now they can eat the sweet fruits of victory. Well, perhaps not so sweet for some. Democracy comes with a price. As a ruling party, Hamas has to provide for its citizens. How sad it can only provide poverty, suffering and death. Tough luck! I saw no-one shedding tears, though, when Hamas opened fire and killed six or seven Fatah supporters and wounded over 100, during Arafat's memorial last week. I guess their misfortune could not be directly linked to Israel, and that should explain the indifference of the world at large.

yes, many palestinians have names which revela their real countriy of origin--al-masri, al-hindi, barghouti or yamani. this poor man's familys origin was obviously in kurdistan. ..so much for the indigenous palestinians on one side...on the other hand he was a human being no matter where he stemmed from. i think, it was great that at least the sourasky hospital showed good will...may his soul rest in peace
