The chutzpa of the archbishop to say that Israel should not be a Jewish state. Did he forgets that one of the main reasons the state was created is to shelter the Jews from Europe who for centuries were persecuted by the Catholic Church and its Inquisitor. To say that Israel does not want peace and that it perpetuates conflict is unbelievable. Kick his butt out from Israel and let the Vatican replace him with a different clergyman.

Vatican is legaly classed as a country but its also officialy classed as a catholic one run by a catholic pope. How about Vatican formarly gives up its status as a catholic state and allows other christan sectors, jews and muslims to live tgere in a politiclty normol state for christians, muslims and jews. England is formerly a christian state and its head of state is only permited to marry a christian and a christian of a certain sect but nobody says that country isnt a democracy do they? Turkey is officialy an islamic state but it is a democracy and both secular and religious muslims get ellected. Pakistan is formerly known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan but it is democratic. Hamass wants to create an islamic palestians state but they also claim to support the idea of democracy. Between 1949 - 1967 when Jordan controled E. Jerusalem jews were not permitied to visit the Western Wall but it was permited for arabs to urinate there. If a jew tried to urinate at the church of the Sepilca or the Axa Mosque they would be locked up. A jewish democtratic state that respects other faiths. You go to a country like Sauid Arabia you can get into trouble with the law for brining a christian bible with you. Israel has muslims sitting in the Knesset ... a jewish state yet it allows freedom of religion for all, allows people of different faiths to practise. Israel manages just fine to juggle democracay and its status as a jewish state.

Where have you been hiding? Are you deaf dumb and blind. The US has been called a Christian nation by many of its leader --lately Mr. Huckabee. There are many Christian nations Ireland , UK Italy. and more. Even Denmark and Sweden have official religion Lutheranism. As for Muslim nations, we know about them and Jews cannot even set foot in them let alone live there. In Israel all religions enjoy equality and freedom and are even members of the government.
