vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (03.02.08)
when they started on Sderot? If you had we wouldnt have had so many rockets (over 7,700 to day which works out at approx 3.5 an hour!) And counting. Sod the rest of the world go in and stay there until its guaranteed to be over. If it causes ww3, so what, we survived ww2 didnt we?

10. You never learn
(03.02.08)
You will kill hunderds of civilians as usual and still you will not stop the fighters not to fight ... so stupid ... you never learn from the past .... Israel will never sleep with two eyes closed as long as it doesn't learn from the past .... the huge war machines you have is weaker than the strong will of those fighters ... there is a big diffrent between people fights for their rights and people fights to keep what they stolen .
11. #6 Yeah it's easy to start a world war
the harsh truth   (03.02.08)
Far easier than to share a land and a city. Israel abandoned the option of negotiations in 2001 and this is what it got. Next time you'll squeak about your right to defend yourselves and about the world's criticism just remember that you've been rejecting the two-state solution since 2001 and then you'll understand why the world criticizes you and why your options are so limited.
12. If they're so impoverished how can they afford the weapons??

14. to 13
(03.02.08)
I think you mean peace , peace can never be till the rights goes back and Israel never announced that they are ready to give back what they stolen .... so which peace you speake about .... it is clear for all ... back to borders of 1967 all will have peace ... not .... no peace ... it's your choice now .
15. # 10 You never had a name?
(03.02.08)
perhaps it's you who never learned. Israel is a great teacher, stop and enjoy the retaliation. Israel is thousands of years old. Allah is the newest gawd on the block. Watch and learn who plays for keeps. We did learn something in WW11, NEVER AGAIN.
16. # 11 yAWN YOUR PROPAGANDAS OLD AND SMELLS.
petra ,   USA   (03.02.08)
AND THE WORLD HATES PALS WITH A PASSION. BUILD SOME CREDIBILITY AND SOME HOSPITALS. YOUR VAIN ATTEMPTS TO HARM ISRAEL WILL END IN MORE AND MORE DEAD PALS. PROPAGANDA IS A PISS POOR TOOL FOR WINNING THE HEARTS OF THE SAME PEOPLE YOUR NETWORK TRIES TO MURDER DAILY. WHAT A PUTZ!
17. The Gazan Clobberfest Has Begun - Finally
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (03.02.08)
Force. It is the only language the Arabs understand. It is the only solution to stopping the Arabs from lobbing rockets into Israeli cities and killing our innocent citizens. It is something they have brought upon themselves. It is something that we Jews hate.
18. Well done boys!!!
Yitz ,   K4 Israel   (03.02.08)
Great job Givati.Keep up the good work.
19. The solution to terror.
Jean Van Daem ,   Metula   (03.02.08)
Victory is the key word not peace, because peace is not an option in this part of the world, and because there is only one solution to terror : a military solution. You do not talk to terrorists, you fight and defeat them. Victory is needed to prove to the Muslims in general and the Arabs in particular that against their ethos of death stands the ethos of life, protected by the arms of democracies that are resolved to punish them where it hurts most as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/stop-them-with-clear-cut-victory-part-i.html
20. back to borders of 1967 all will have peace # 14
(03.02.08)
This is NOT what your Hamas charter says, so...... thanks, but NO thanks
21. Rocket attacks are not rocket science
Chrisona ,   Chicago.IL   (03.02.08)
I agree with poster 2 that there is no military solution for these rocket attacks. The only way to stop them is to deny the terrorists the terror-tory they're standing on. The solution to this problem lies in the land. Who controls it and who doesn't.
22. #14 wrong
(03.02.08)
l meant piece, cause that´s your Arab plan to destroy Israel will not work
23. Hamas gravely miscalculated
Yehud   (03.02.08)
(IsraelNN.com) The head of the Shabak (General Security Service), Yuval Diskin, told the cabinet Sunday that Hamas was very surprised by the force of the Israeli response to its shelling of the western Negev. The terrorists tried to signal a willingness to calm the fighting on February 29, he said, by firing fewer rockets. However, they were surprised to see that Israel not only did not slow down its attack, but actually picked up the pace of fighting. Diskin told the government ministers that Hamas wants to reach a ceasefire with Israel, but would like to reach it from a position of strength. Diskin said Hamas suffered a heavy blow when the IDF succeeded in eliminating a terror squad in Khan Younis. The squad was expected to carry out a major terror attack. He said Hamas is trying to lure the IDF into the denser urban areas of Gaza. He also estimated it would try to carry out more activity in Judea and Samaria in the coming weeks.

Brod ,   USA   (03.02.08)
Rockets hitting Ashkelon may well be coming from Hezbollah Iranian forces or Iranian forces in Gaza.
27. Retaliation
Ciaran ,   Boston USA   (03.02.08)
61 people dead in Gaza how come that didn't make the headlines. Heh they 're only arabs right!. Stop killing eachother and talk. Shalom
28. Identify launch sites via Satellite and other imagery and
Squalid Ibn Harman ,   Qtir   (03.02.08)
We should be using every means of imagery, sattelite, RPV, etc. to identify the launch sites of the Qassams and grads. Having done so, we should drop 1 ton bombs on the sites regardless of whether they are in cvilian areas or not. Once the sites have been deployed as military launch sites for missile they are viable targets regardless of whether they are civilian housing, mosques, etc. THEY ARE LEGITIMATE MILITARY TARGETS. If Hamas deploys from such areas then they bear sole responsibility of the outcome.
29. #2 - Comparison to Lebanon
ZS ,   USA   (03.02.08)
No more rockets are fired from Lebanon. If Israel can "fail miserably" with Gaza the same way it did in Lebanon, with rockets stopping, and possibly a UN force on the border to at least be a symbol that no more rockets should continue, then I think Israel will be happy to fail miserably in this manner.
30. BBC
denise ,   baram israel   (03.02.08)
I am so furious with the bias comments from the BBC - I wonder what would have happened if IRA had launched "some"rockets into Cardiff for instance?
