You're allowed to kill someone who is trying to kill or rape you (men too). It says, "Arise first and kill him who comes to murder you." Rape explicitly falls within this law. Furthermore, you are allowed to kill another person who is attempting rape or homicide if that is the only way to prevent the crime. I repeat - this is normative Torah, not extremist or "feminist." And note - there are Orthodox women's groups in Israel who are within halacha and perfectly kosher (except for those safely in Boro Park where, incidentally, sexual harassment also exists).

Avrom, I 100% agree that men and women have equal right and with all what you said. I just say that calling to kill people even if they transgress is not G-dly and doesn't improve women's (and men's) rights. It only perpetrates violence.

Any man or woman has absolute right him/herself against a man or a woman who is attempting to kill, rape, physically harm them. They just need to use appropriate force, not take the law in their own hands. Hug them? An orthodox woman shouldn't hug a strange man!

Torah indeed prescibes death penalty for certain offences, including desacration of Shabbat. However, it was always left to G-d and to bet din, not to individuals to execute the offenders. Bet din didn't practise executions for 2000 years. And do you want to execute all Jews who dececrate Shabbat together with the rapists?
