rubi ,   Israel   (03.06.08)
These people will not stop killing that's what they know nothing else. they kill innocent ppl and celebrate. they need to be wiped off of this earth. They attack us and do you think we should sit back?
32. inevitable
Michael ,   Oxford UK   (03.06.08)
Over the last 3 months over 340 Palestinians have been killed through Israeli terrorism. The excuse being Palestinian rockets which have only killed 14 Israelis in 7years.
33. Enjoy the sweets!
Talula ,   Israel   (03.06.08)
Don't bother throwing the wrapping paper in the garbage to keep Gaza tidy - there's Israeli war planes on the way loaded with missiles. More deaths, more destruction. Still feel like rejoicing? Thought not.
34. #26, Michael, you are ridiculous!
DR   (03.06.08)
What an asinine comparison from an ignorant Brit! Israel goes after known terrorists and stops terror attacks daily. Its not their fault that terror scum hide behind women and children. If you actually used your brain you would understand that they ( the terrorists), do this on purpose so that innocent people will die and Israel looks bad. Have you ever really though about it, or do you just make up your asinine conclusions on the spot?
35. No excuse whatsoever for abject reaction
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (03.06.08)
First of all, my deepest condolences for all the bereaved families, this is a terrible, terrible tragedy, hamakom yenachem etchem toch she'ar avelei tsyion v'yerushalaim. Secondly, one cannot conceive any excuse for this disgusting rejoicing over the killing of students in a rabbinical seminary. Those celebrating in Gaza, Iran, Lebanon and elsewhere are filthy monsters, the do not have a heart, do not have a soul. No one ever, ever heard about an Israely rejoicing over a dead palestinian, it is simply atrocious! In times like these are very, very hard not to agree with Israeli right wingers about the virtual impossibility of making people with 'people' like this!
36. To No. 26 - Michael from Oxford
New Yorker ,   New York   (03.06.08)
It all actually boils down to whose side you are really on. Just like during World War II, plenty of civilians were killed on both sides. But some chose to sympathize with the other side. I wonder if Oxford stopped teaching critical thinking by now. Your example is a sad one.
37. Full stomach
Ben Hur ,   Manhattan, USA   (03.06.08)
I'm sure Waked had his full.
38. The Difference Between Us and Them
Ira Piltz ,   Bet Shemesh, Israel   (03.06.08)
We weep at the state of affairs that allows a life to be taken and preys that a method to defeat evil can be found which will avoid the loss of innocent lives (including those placed strategically in harms way by the evildoers). They celebrate...offering praise to Gd and gifts to children when students engaged in religious studies are killed. Not all are evil on one side and not all are good on the other. But unitl they realize that there is never a cause to celebrate when innocent lives are taken in an act of terrorism, they will never obtain peace and we will continue to do what we must do to protect ourselves from those who will do evil.
39. Obscene behaviour
rubi ,   Israel   (03.06.08)
Definitely the time to drop a bomb..in the middle of their celebrations...Amen
40. To Talula
Michael ,   Oxford UK   (03.06.08)
Killing innocent civilians has been Israel's way for the last 60 years and it has resulted in peace. The answer has to be International sanctions, it worked on the apartheid state in South Africa and it will work on Israel.
41. #26
Jane   (03.06.08)
Listen, you freaking Brit bastard, I cannot wait until the caliphate is reestablished where Britain used to be. You deserve all that is coming to you. You and your Jew-hating countrymen created the problem that we are left to deal with. You lopped 78% off Palestine and created Jordan and we were grateful for half of what was left. Notwithstanding, you and all of your Lawrence of Arabia wannabees still cannot accept a Jew wanting to live in his ancestral homeland and fighting to do so. The British are as rotten as a people as their teeth.
42. #21
Jane   (03.06.08)
I apologize to you wholeheartedly for what I said to your countryman in Oxford. You are the last best hope of Britain, #21.
43. Sick, disgusting animals.
The Gentile ,   Denver, USA   (03.06.08)
I can't remember one time when Israelis celebrated a killing of an innocent Arab. Not one!! Had their been one, the BBC would have played it everyday for years. My dear friends in Israel. I just don't understand your patience. Do whatever you think you must, and I will support you, even the leveling of Gaza. Long live Israel.
44. Israel should...
Michael Steiner   (03.06.08)
...bomb these inbreds dancing on the streets and in the mosques. They're obviously enemy combatants. We will never have peace with them... - that's becoming painfully obvious.
45. ##26, 40 Michael
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (03.07.08)
You, self-righteous Briton, answer me: what kind of sick people reacts to the killing of religious youngsters, devoted do the study of sacred texts, with 'I told you so, well deserved, you asked for it' ?! Your arrogance and disdain for the loss of human life are frankly disgusting! If you do not have any positive contribution to give, please shut up!!!!
46. Michael, #26, be quiet, punk
Jake   (03.07.08)
47. And they danced on 9-11 if you remember
Robert Goldman ,   cooper city Florida   (03.07.08)
they rejoice in all our deaths!
48. Talk only when you know the truth...
rubi ,   Israel   (03.07.08)
Do you know what its like to have rockets falling overhead day after day ,year after year? children being traumatized by this everyday? Too quiet in Oxford I guess...
49. to Jane
Michael ,   Oxford UK   (03.07.08)
I agree with you Jane , Britain should never have agreed to a Jewish State or allowed it to happen, particularly since many Britons died as a result of Jewsih terrorism. Whilst Israel exists there will never be peace in the Middle East..
50. #40
Talula ,   Israel   (03.07.08)
Stop talking crap. What about the thousands of Israeli deaths caused by suicide bombers and kassam rockets. If you're going to make an observatiohen at least make a fair and balanced one. No-one is going to put any sanctions on us. Israel has some of the best minds in the world and contribute more to the international community than any other Arab country. So wake up and see the story from both sides - unless of course you enjoy making an Idiot out of yourself.
51. Pallies, you think you're so tough?
HaEmet ,   San Diego, CA, USA   (03.07.08)
Try assaulting a place where people aren't buried in books and studies trying to improve their lives. Maybe a military base for once, or are you all so weak you have to take easy targets?
52. celebrating acts of terrorism
Michael ,   Oxford UK   (03.07.08)
Former Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, was CELEBRATING one of the worst acts of terrorism against Britain in a foreign land: the 60th anniversary of the bombing, on July 22, 1946, of the King David Hotel, the headquarters of the British Government's representatives in the region. More than 90 innocent people, including 28 Britons, were killed in the bombing carried out by Irgun, the Jewish group, which under the leadership of Menachem Begin (later to become Israel's Prime Minister)
53. To Rubi
Michael ,   Oxford UK   (03.07.08)
Quite right Rubi not too many bombs going off around Oxford, but then again we don't have foreigners trying to kill us and steal our land.
54. #7 We NEVER EVER celebrate the death of Palestinians but....
Talula ,   Israel   (03.07.08)
I'M GONNA START TOMORROW!!!!
55. To Talula
Michael ,   Oxford UK   (03.07.08)
The reality is something quite different, over 8 TIMES more Plaestinians have been killed than Israelis. back in 2005/6 the Palestinians maintained a ceasefire for over 14 months and during that time over 400 Palestinians were murdered through Jewish terrorism. Don't be so certain about those sanctions, most Europeans (non-Jews) are extremely concerned about the holocaust against the Palestinians, many of us avoid anything that comes from Israel like the plague
56. #55 Michael: don't waste your time, everybody's...
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (03.07.08)
...already realized that you are an rabid anti-semite whose tb's are clearly aimed at causing disgust and rage. Do not bother posting here, it is crystal clear that you are a hired pen, ready with a lot of so-called numbers and figures (what a curious coincidence, you seem to know alleged dates and numbers of casualties by heart...), with a not-so-well hidden agenda. Pls tell your bosses in Londonistan, Damascus or elsewhere that no one is going to buy what you are trying to sell.
57. #38 Ira Piltz - There Is No Difference Between You and
Johan Odin ,   Oslo, Norway   (03.07.08)
The Palestinians other than you are the invaders and occupiers of their homeland and they are simply defending themselves against your aggression towards them.. You may try to pretend that Israelis are on some moral high ground, but in reality it is you Israelis who are the evildoers for it is Israel who chooses to illegally occupy Palestinian lands, it is Israel who continues to build and expand settlements in violation of international law and it is Israel who has by far taken the most number innocent lives. Even the city you live in today was built upon the Arab town of Beit Natif that was forcibly ethically cleansed and destroyed by Jews when Israel attacked and occupied Jerusalem, making your comments even more hypocritical.
58. Hit them where it hurts
Peter ,   Toronto Canada   (03.07.08)
Close down the Al Aqsa Mosque permanently. End the existance of the Waqf. Do it stating that it there are too many threats of vengeance against it. The only solution is to close it permanently. This is short of what should be done but I think it would be the worst thing in the eyes of the arabs. End this now. Make them understand that there is much more they have to lose
59. Condi Rice says she like these people and can relate
Biblybob Gilobob ,   usa   (03.07.08)
Condi Rice flew-in to their rescue. These are like her people. What a supid, foolish and immoral thing to say. Rice, these animals are nothing like the blacks in America. How dare you support these palanimals who murder Jews in cold blood then party down. Are you as sick as they are?
60. The kill-ratio fallacy (especially for Michael, Oxford)
Tahl ,   Israel   (03.07.08)
Time and time again, Palestinians use the cheap, manipulative, crude-but-effective propaganda tool - this being the comparison of the death toll on either side. I haven't checked Michael's numbers, but let's assume they are correct. One may look at such figures, and the first reaction would be to sympathize with the poor, helpless Palestinians, as they are the "underdogs". Surely a people that lose so many of their own in this struggle, have a just cause, and are given a raw deal. Surely Israel is the bully here, and "Israeli terrorism" as Michael put it, killed so many poor Palestinians, while Palestinian rockets (Michael and his ilk would never refer to them as "terrorism") has hardly hurt Israelis. Surely, the Palis are the good guys, and the Israelis are the bad bullies. After all, just look at the numbers! They don't lie... Or do they? When assessing these figures, one must bear in mind several key facts: 1. The raw number given of Palestinian deaths, does not say how many of them were armed terrorists, who died after they started firing (unprovoked) at Israeli soldiers, or were trying to shoot a Kassam at Sderot, or were on the way to a deadly attack, or simply detonated themselves, just in order to kill Jews. Usually most of the dead Palestinians are indeed terrorists. 2. It also doesn't take into account, that the IDF does the best it can, not to target civilians, but Palestinian terrorists always cynically use them as human shield. 3. In contrast, the Palestinian terrorists do their best to deliberately kill Israeli civilians. There is no military reason for firing a Kassam at Sderot. None whatsoever. The Israeli deaths from the rockets, were all civilians. Tonight too, the terrorists murdered Yeshiva students, hardly the people who would risk the Palestinians. 4. Israel has fully withdrawn from Gaza, so the Palestinians there can't use the "occupation" excuse anymore. But hey, it's fun shooting at Jews, so why let this small fact bother them. 5. Whenever Palestinians stop firing, there is progress on the peace process with Israel. Then, unprovoked, they resume their firing, Israel retaliates to the provocation, terrorists are killed along with some poor passer-bys, and then they blame Israel that the peace process is derailed. 6. Even more Palestinians terrorists would have been dead, had it not been for the intensive care they got in Israeli hospitals. Even though they tried to kill us. 7. Palestinians tend to make up stories about Israeli aggression and Palestinian heroism, which are often unfounded and completely twisted from reality. Often they exaggerate their death toll (the Jenin "massacre" if you remember) or they like to spin Palestinians deaths caused by Palestinians, to be Israel's fault (Muhammad Dura, the family that was blown up on the Gaza beach, etc). Pallywood really ought to be nominated for a few Oscars. But hey, this assessment is too long and complicated... So why don't we instead just stick with these numbers from before? After all they paint a simplistic picture which is so much easier to understand: few casualties = bully, many casualties = underdog. Sadly, this inane argument falls on attentive ears, as witnessed by Michael from Oxford. Amazing how such an excellent education establishment, produces such unintelligent students, who so easily get duped by this cheap demagoguery.
