And he believes only the worst about Israel and doesn't accept that Israel desperately wants to negotiate peace with the Palestinians but only when its citizens are not being attacked from Gaza rocket launchers on a daily basis. Pappe's parents from Germany were saved from destruction because there was a Jewish sanctuary in Palestine. The Arabs were against his parents coming to Palestine. Being critical of Israeli actions does not make one a traitor, but there is a distinction between self-criticism and self-hatred, and Pappe crossed that line long ago. Pappe is yet another naive moron who thinks that 10 million Israelis and Arabs will suddenly change their minds and agree to live peacefully side by side in one unified nation. For an academic, he sounds to me like he's simply stupid and somebody made a clerical error in granting his degrees. He says "as long as Israel maintains its stance that the Palestinian issue can be resolved by force, the Palestinian side will respond with force." Gosh, Prof Pappe, have you never in your life picked up a newspaper and read the Palestinian stance? You betcha, the Palestinians say that "armed resistance" (aka "force") is the only way to resolve the the issue. So, ignoring one side and lambasting the other makes Pappe simply a non-intellectual jerk. He's just another self-hating imbecile who calls himself an intellectual, yet couldn't argue his way out of a wet paper bag.
