As an Israeli citizen, Pappe is perfectly free to hold unpopular opinions; at the same time, Israelis and Jewish people around the world are free to regard Pappe with contempt.

What an angry onslaught of bad rhetorical against Mr. Pappe! I have read his book and carefully examined his sources, as well as the logical reasoning of his argument. Yes, his statements are radical, if one still believes in Israel's innocence, yet they are true! Apparently some Israelis still have to come to terms with what most of the world already agrees on.

I have read Ilan Pappe's work 'Ethnic Cleansing" thoroughly. Before people criticise him, they should do likewise. I consider him a scholar and an excellent researcher. I wish that gut emotions did not cloud discussions of his important contribution to the Israel-Palestine dichotomy.

Hi Ilan, What a good debate. I lived in Israel from 1972 to 1980 and I became so disillusioned with the racism in Israel. I cam from South Africa at the time and I thought I was escaping apartheid. I found Israel to be hypocritcal, racist and very cruel. I married a Czech Jew who went to the army and was appalled at the treatment of the palestinians, but also the treatment of people like me, new Jewish migrants. I will never visit that country again. Thank you for bringing some real news to these idiots who live in this hypocritical nation, Australia. They stole the land from the Aborigines and are in favour of the theft of land from the Palestinians. I wish you a happy and safe year. Beware of the aggression from these Jews in the diaspora.
