I have no problems with criticisms of Israel. Surely I have no desire to see a continued blockade of Gaza and I will agree that continued settlement is counter-productive to any peace initiative. My problem is that while it sounds all very reasonable to say these things, there is no mention of our problems or concerns and no call for the actions against Israel to stop and no criticism of clear Palestinian support of such actions. How can you call for an end to the blockade without suggesting a practical solution to the bombardment in Sderot? Russia's choice of criticism shows a clear bias. I would not trust them to broker a transaction in a produce market near the border. Furthermore Russia has no problems with heavy handed military actions when it suits her. I'll take this opportunity to reiterate my delight at Angela Merkel's recent visit. If there is a country which has a chance at brokering a peace treaty it is Germany. She is quite aware of our concerns. If anything she is not critical enough of us. So I scoff at Russia's involvement. It stinks of politics.

Israel wants real peace??? They understand peace by building more settlements and by more closure and attacks against Gaza and West Bank. Only one thing makes Israel seeks peace: Real Palestinian resistance and Unity in front of their force.
