I have 21 years service in U.S. military, in units with both male and female service members. The females have always been studious and hardworking. They were there because they chose to be there. As for 'females causing caualities in front line units, because men had to protect them"........they took the training to be there.......let them protect themselves and their teammates.......just as the men do.

Also, I wasn't even thinking about women in combat units, but now that you brought it up.. of course men are generally more capable than women in physical tasks. However, there are some women that choose to be in these units and they work hard and won't be accepted if they're not good enough. and, a lot of combat units in the IDF don't even accept women in the first place, so why are you complaining? if the army thinks they're good enough to be in a specific unit, then let them fight and protect ..

I kind of agree women shud be protected from uglieness of military service and war but in country like Israel with enemies within and without you can't escape the war. You can't escape Quasams or suicise bombers by being simply part of civilian populace. All Israelis men, women even kids must learn to fight. Secondly who'll replace them? Arabs, Haredim.
