You make a good point. However, the term 'Messiah' is so seldom used in the Tanach and messianic interpretations so vague that a messiah can mean just about anything to any number of people. The terminology 'Messianic era' is never once used in the Tanach, and the Tanach never states that the era of global peace and tranquility and the return of the Jews to Zion would be acheived in one shot within the Messiah's own lifetime, rather these tasks would be left to God Himself.

I do not like the words or deeds of some Christians. Likewise, there are some acts done by Jews(in the name of Judaism) that I find objectionable. All Jews and all Christians are not responsible for the acts of a few of their members. All Christians are not Jew haters out to convert or kill.
