#1 ...it's just funny. #2 ...there is no secular conspiracy to defame the ultra-orthodox. That is the beauty of this irony. In the secular sector pornography is hardly taboo. In fact, being secular, I viewed this article with some suspicion, not as a hoax, but as an invasion of privacy, of the afore-mentioned hypocritical "dosim". It's not a crime to be hypocritical...it's just funny.

Bar Ilan is responding by decreasing the hours in the computer room What about all those students who have legitimate reasons for being in the room late at night? Why should students be deprived to a service they are paying for, because some people take advantage of it.

The central issue which is being missed is that a major university has zero control over interlopers who just wander into the computer center and use the schools computers with impunity. I cannot imagine a similar scenario occurring at any major school in the U.S Is there no security in place at this school. No passes required to access school computers. "Planning on assessing additional steps" ? What about school ID required to enter the facility or a security guard at the door. What shmucks!

Why is everyone so angry with Ynet for reporting this? If they didn't report it, doesn't mean it didn't happen? NO! Mob mentality at its best, again. You don't want this kind of negative news reported because you cannot defend it and you would rather it be swept aside and silenced, just like the abused wives and children in these Haredi communities - the holy ones, forever eager to give the impression they are all squeaky clean, God fearing Homo sapiens that respect and obey the word of the Rabbi. Clearly not in this case. I'd also be really embarrassed about now, if I was religious and looked up to these people while continually defending them. Fact is, as much as I cannot stand them, I accept that men will be men, and men have sexual urges. The Haredim have too many laws on when and how sex is permitted – they are still men after all and most men, Haredi included cannot live like that. They were caught red handed, in a place they had no business to be. These 'noble and holy people' that you look up to were caught with their pants down - looking at porn. It doesn't surprise me at all. Just block the porn sites - it's as simple as that.

So, what exactly is it that you are trying to say here? They can walk into a campus and use forbidden porn sites (forbidden by a Rabbi not apparently by Bar Ilan University) and we should keep quiet? After they run riot on the streets for every minor cause? The Holier than thou brigade? Ahhhhh, I see, you're another one who cannot defend such behaviour - and rather it wasn't reported so that these people are kept in a holy and pure place in your mind. Sad loser you are.

If Haredim can come in, anyone can, which is a security problem. Doors could open only when passing a valid student card. That is easy to implement. And then, the Univ. computer shouldn´t give access to all internet sites, porn or violence or how-to-build-a-bomb-sites could be filtered out. This can be done easily.

Are they above criticism? Are they better than you or me. If the want my respect they must earn it. Not by conforming but by learning tolerance, and respect. Why are so many people responding, this aberrant form of behavior points to deeper problems within their community.

Stop bitching at the talkbacks and write something about the Haredi men sneaking into a university campus and gorking at porn. What do you have to say about that?

These boys were shamelessly looking at pornography in a public place in front of a religious female student no less. Apparently this goes on often enough to be brought to the attention of the school. Shouldn't you be embarrassed by them and instead of insulted by the article?

If people claiming that they are better than others are caught with their pants down they deserve to be outed. I've seen guys like this in Internet cafes all over Tel Aviv.
