The vast majority of these "reports" are next to worthless - they're idle speculation, propaganda intended to drive events, trial balloons, etc. (How many times has the Times of London, for example, reported an imminent strike on Iran?) A proper first response might be "consider the source". If the news editor can't get confirmation, such reports belong in a special "For what it's worth..." section. But people, especially on a site like this, respond to such reports because they "ring true". They see Olmert, Livni and their ilk ready to adopt the narrative and claims of the enemy. They see Bush and Rice desperate for *something* positive to balance their troubled foreign policy legacies. So a quick sell-out of Israel for any kind of deal isn't beyond credibility.

Your probably talking about the supposed interview he did with Rami Tal in 1976. In the interview, Tal claims that Dayan told him, Israel instigated the attacks on Syria in the Golan. This is a blatant lie which i can prove. First, why did Tal come out with this interview he did 19 years later. He did the interview in 1976 and came out with what he said Dayan told him in 1995. 14 years after Dayan died in 81. 2nd, if Tal is right and Dayan told him this. Then obviously their would be soldiers who were under Dayan's command from 48 to 67 who would verify that Israel instigated Syria. That fact not one soldier under Dayan's command has corraberated what Tal said Dayan told him. This is the real reason why Tal waited till Dayan died to come out with the interview. Tal made up this fact, cause he's a really a peace now supporter who believes in land for terror camps.

Israel expelled 120,000 Arab residents of Golan, for what reason? to replace them with Jewish people to full-fill a Jewish prophecy? the International Court wouldn't accept prophecy claim, either. Neither was it righting the wrong by claiming the inheritance of the land by evacuating its inhabitants for thousands of years. If Israel had had the right to the land, Israel would have presented its claim to the International court. Annexing land by force didn't need a court of law. Israel, in the process of creation, never resorted to the International court, why? because of assured failure if it had done so.
