Frank ,   Canada   (11.26.08)
Arabs are spreading hatred and they are constantly trying to murder Jews and now they complain that Jews want to retaliate. IDF must let the 'settlers' shoot these Arab genocidal squatters.

"Interviews: 50th Anniversary Of Deir Yassin Massacre" In retrospect, Palestinians of today admit that one of the most terrible mistakes they made back in 1948 was to over-report the details of the Deir Yassin massacre. "The goal was to mobilize Arab support for the Palestinians who were slaughtered by the Zionists but what really happened was that more and more Palestinians became scared and left their country," said Hazem Nusseibeh, a leading Palestinian figure who currently lives in Jordan. In 1948 he was among the key figures of the city of Jerusalem. ..."True, there was exchange of fire with the Jews. Prior to the attack, they used to come to the village and distribute leaflets calling for the establishment of friendly and brotherly relations with us offering a formula of 'do not hit us, we won't hit you.' Our youths confronted them and did not listen to them. Our youths used to go out to the eastern side of the village and beat up whatever Jew they saw." ...Mohammed Asaad Radwan Al Yassini, 70, who currently lives in the Old City of Jerusalem, confirmed that some of the men were dressed in women's outfits. ...Did they use speakers and what did they say? "They called on us to surrender, to throw our weapons and to save ourselves. But we did not imagine them breaking into the village. ...Ali Yousef Jaber, Abu Yousef, is also 70 years old. He lives in Am'ari refugee camp near Ramallah. Excerpts below: "I would like to stress on the fact that no rape incidents took place. That was part of a big lie that some of the Arabs and some of our leaders invented but were refuted by our villagers. I was among a group of people who went to Saad Eddin Al Aref to talk to him about this. He told us he wanted to frame them and attribute to them a brutal crime. I said to him: if you want to frame them, do not use Deir Yassin, or our women. Do not attribute to us something that never happened, otherwise this is infamy that our village and its people do not deserve... http://www.arabicnews.com/ansub/Daily/Day/980410/1998041030.html

Communist propaganda, very effective, but you forgot to close the airwaves and the internet for the truth to be convincingly suppressed. There are other outlets out there just like Voice of Free Europa, I remember my parents listening to, radio under blankets with drawn curtains and closed windows. You have not arived yet to this perfection.

arabs are killed by Israelis they scream and claim it was only a stone and the Israelis are using bullets. Now they want protection from the IDF. Who helps the people in Zederot???? or the children killed in a bus or a pizza place??
11. oh come on!!
charles in charge   (11.26.08)
You might think that there is real serious terror from Jews to Arabs with the amount of coverage that these arabs are getting. Wake up & smell the coffee. The Arabs will continue to murder Jews if we don't stop them. Report the truth. Don't be a 9th rate paper & report sensationalism. report the facts!!!!
12. Agree with Majdi al-Jabri
Joseph ,   Israel   (11.26.08)
Everyone agrees with this man, even the most extreme Right wingers: stones are thrown with the intent to kill and people who throw stones are attempting to murder. Israel should allow shooting of stonethrowers as self-defense.
13. Agree,too
Tom ,   Toronto   (11.26.08)
Yes, indeed. Stone-throwing Settlers in Hebron should be shot. It's against their religion, anyway. So help them to stop in their bad tracks.

Richard ,   London UK   (11.26.08)
The middle-of-the-night eviction last week of an elderly Palestinian couple from their home in East Jerusalem to make way for Jewish settlers is a demonstration of Israeli intent towards a future peace deal with the Palestinians. Mohammed and Fawziya Khurd are now on the street, living in a tent, after Israeli police enforced a court order issued in July to expel them. The couple have been living in the same property in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood since the mid-1950s, when East Jerusalem was under Jordanian control. The United Nations allotted them the land after they were expelled from their homes in territory that was seized by Israel during the 1948 war. Since East Jerusalem's occupation by Israel in 1967, however, Jewish settler groups have been waging a relentless battle for the Khurds' home, claiming that the land originally belonged to Jews. In 1999, the settlers occupied a wing of the house belonging to the couple's son, Raed, though the courts subsequently ruled in favor of the family. The eviction order against the settlers, unlike that against the Khurds, was never enforced. The takeover of the Khurds' house is far from an isolated incident. Settlers are quietly grabbing homes from Palestinians in key neighborhoods around the Old City of Jerusalem in an attempt to preempt any future peace deal with the Palestinians. What makes the case of the Khurd family exceptional is that it has attracted the attention of western consulates, particularly those of Israel's important allies, that is, the United States and Britain. They have appealed without success to the Israeli government to intercede. In particular, the diplomats are concerned that the takeover of the Khurds' home will set a dangerous precedent, freeing settler groups to wrest control of most of Sheikh Jarrah. The settlers plan to oust more than 500 Palestinians from the neighborhood and build 200 apartments for Jewish families. If the settlers can take control of other areas, such as Silwan, Ras al-Amud and the Mount of Olives, the Old City and its holy sites would be as good as sealed off not only to Palestinians in the West Bank – as is the case already – but also to nearly 250,000 Palestinians in the outlying suburbs of East Jerusalem. Because the Palestinians expect East Jerusalem and its holy places to be the core of their state, the Sheikh Jarrah judgment effectively offers the settlers a blocking veto on any future negotiations. That may be one reason why the Israeli government has shown little inclination to intervene in cases like that of the Khurds. In Israeli law, all of Jerusalem, including the eastern half of the city, is the "indivisible" capital of the Jewish state. The eviction order also worries western diplomats because it opens up a Pandora's box of competing land claims that will make it impossible for Palestinian negotiators to sign up to a deal on the division of Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority has already pointed out to the consulates that nearly two-thirds of West Jerusalem's land was owned by Palestinians before the creation of Israel. Fawziya Khurd, for example, lived in Talbieh, in what is now the city's western half, before 1948.
15. Stones thrown #5
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota U.S.   (11.26.08)
Does any Israeli newspaper give the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria the right to reply? or even the benefit of doubt. It seems the Israeli press beleives when it comes to the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria a moslem makes an accusation so they have a trail and hang the resident
16. HOPE ITS TRUE.but its JEWS STORY.she stole even JEWS PAIN
..............DACON9   (11.26.08)
I DO HOPE ITS TRUE. its about time ISRAELIS TOOK THE TRUTH AND LIVE BY IT. The truth is that JEWS always lived in Hebron. Thats why our father and His family is buried there, because Abraham paid in full for that land. All you readers know that even though the arabs deny it. THis is why the arabs dont want the ISRAELIS to dig preserve and collect anything and everything from the TEMPLE MOUNT HAR HABAYIT SO THE ARABS OCCUPYING israeli LAND CAN ERASE ALL HISTORY OF jews there. BUT HEY, THEY KEEP DIGGING AND DIGGING EVEN TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH , THE ancient JEWISH history cant be refuted...ITS THERE ! KING DAVID ...its there ! BUT YA GOTTA HAND IT TO THE ARABS, they learn well. They took all our pain , our words of hurt , our expressions even te faces the make of torture..again just look in te history f the JEW and you will see it all Unfortunetly it's been the JEWS THAT HAD BEEN FEELING THAT SUFFERING and not for a day or a month but for thousands of years. I am very happy that the ISRAELIS ARE FIGHTING THE ARABS . AND THE CORRUPT GOVERMENTS. the punch line of all this is the liberal fringe peace now green people give it all away people will only stand up for truth when its their home and their families feeling the pain of losing their homes and hurt from flying rockets on a peaceful sunny day in HEBRON or SDROT or TEL AVIV or the new method of attacks from the arab employee in their work place. PEACE LATER WAR NOW. ASK KING DAVID or KING SOLOMON, theres a time for peace and a time for war. THANKS, DACON9 www.jewswithviews.com

No matter what you write (funny your comments altogether) your time is up! Yes we throw stones, yes the intention is to hurt! You know what? You'll better leave know that you still can! The G of Israel has started to clean his land! Please go, and if you can, tale Olmert, barak and their gang with you!
18. I guess the Arabs are never violent
Leah   (11.26.08)
I tell you to hear the way the Palestinians and their friends talk one would think there was never any Palestinian violence at all. No 10months old Jewish baby shot to death on a playground in Hebron. No adolescent Jewish boys beaten to death with stones. No little Jewish girls shot to death by Palestinian "civilian gunfire" as B'Tselem calls Palestinians who murder Jews while cowering under their bed. No Israelis blown to bits for the crime of commuting back and forth to work or school on a bus, or eating at a pizza parlor or icecream parlor. No pregnant Jewish mothers and their little daughters ambused then shot to death at point blank range while in their car. If one really knew nothing about this conflict, and came to this site and other similiar ones you would think the Palestinians are all just a bunch of kindhearted, peaceful folks who are harrassed and tormented by the evil, violent Jews for no reason whatsoever. And this is an Israeli website. One can only imagine how horrific the proArab and Palestinians websites are no wonder most of the world is so antiIsraeli. It's amazing.
19. concerted and continued oppresion
Richard ,   London UK   (11.26.08)
Ramallah – During pre-dawn invasions throughout the West Bank Wednesday, Israeli forces stormed Ramallah’s Qalandiya Refugee Camp. A 60 year old woman, Umm Mohammed Odeh, died from the stress of being assaulted by the raid. Umm Mohammad suffered a stroke during the search of her home. Israeli forces then arrested her 20 year old son Mohammed Odeh. During pre-dawn raids Israeli forces arrested 12 other Palestinians from throughout the West Bank, eight of whom were taken from Ramallah.
20. Stretching the truth
USA   (11.26.08)
"I was shocked to hear a soldier tell me, 'There's nothing I can do, and there's no use complaining, the settlers and we are one," al-Jabri added. Mr. Al-Jabri's comment seems disingenuous at best. It stretches credulity to claim that this man was told "...the settlers and we are one." The IDF evicted Jews from Gaza, and the settlers there did not go willingly. Nevertheless, the IDF did what it was told and evicted the settlers. From other articles in Ynet, I have gotten the distinct impression that the IDF looks on settlers as a dangerous nuisance, not as compatriots with a common cause to stir up violence that the IDF then have to risk their lives to control.
21. Arabs must leave Hebron at once!

22. Politically, favours Kadima & Obama
PunditRich ,   Wisconsin, USA   (11.26.08)
AHhhh, the Settler thorn is biting even harder ... a Perfect Storm. Think best for all if both Israel and US gov'ts let boil to help reveal the unacceptable evil among the mostly admirable Settlers. Voters will then choose not Likud, Settlers or BiBi!
23. The messaage is to get out!
bruria Cohen ,   Jersualem Israel   (11.26.08)
When Ali Waked writes this on behalf of the enemy, he is giving all Arabs the message: get out before your G-d and ours decides what to do with you. Arabs chose not to live in peace with us so off they go - back to their brothers and sisters who happen to have the money too.
24. Settler violence undermines everything
Avinoam ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (11.26.08)
It undermines our moral high ground. It undermines the peace process. It undermines the faith of non-jewish (and ethical or empathetic jews) in the state. Wonderful, the settlers can keep a building in Hebron while we lose the legitimacy of the entire country. How can we make claim that Israel is a liberal country, if not one of the most liberal in the west, when this kind of nonsense carries on?
25. WHy print lies from Palastinian sources?
JAy33 ,   ISrael   (11.26.08)
Thats all Mr Wakid does! Print Paalstinian propaganda! All his articles are from PAlastinian sources. This is very poor journalism that is nothing but slander!
26. I guess the Israelis are never violent
Richard ,   London UK   (11.26.08)
Failure to protect Palestinians from settler violence Over the years, settlers in the city have routinely abused the city's Palestinian residents, sometimes using extreme violence. Throughout the second intifada, settlers have committed physical assaults, including beatings, at times with clubs, stone throwing, and hurling of refuse, sand, water, chlorine, and empty bottles. Settlers have destroyed shops and doors, committed thefts, and chopped down fruit trees. Settlers have also been involved in gunfire, attempts to run people over, poisoning of a water well, breaking into homes, spilling of hot liquid on the face of a Palestinian, and the killing of a young Palestinian girl. Soldiers are generally positioned on every street corner in and near the settlement points, but in most cases they do nothing to protect Palestinians from the settlers' attacks. The police also fail to properly enforce the law and rarely bring the assailants to justice. By failing to respond appropriately to settler violence in Hebron, the authorities in effect sanction the settlers' violent acts. These acts, in addition to being severe, have also contributed to the "quiet transfer" of thousands of Palestinians from the City Center . Harm to Palestinian residents by soldiers and police officers The increased presence of soldiers and police in the Hebron city center brings with it violence, excessive and unjustified use of force, and abuse of the powers granted them by law. Violence, arbitrary house searches, seizure of houses, harassment, detaining passersby, and humiliating treatment have become part of daily reality for Palestinians and have led many of them to move to safer places. In some cases, not even the defense establishment tries to defend the security forces' conduct; however, apparently, not enough has been done to uproot these practices. * * * Israel 's policy severely impacts thousands of Palestinians by violating the right to life, liberty, personal safety, freedom of movement, health, and property, among other rights. This policy breaches Israel 's obligations under international humanitarian law, international human rights law, and Israeli administrative and constitutional law. Given the drastic effects of the policy on the fabric of Palestinian life in the area and the resultant "quiet transfer" of thousands of Palestinians, the policy constitutes a breach of the prohibition on forced transfer enshrined in the Fourth Geneva Convention and is therefore a war crime, for which the persons responsible bear personal liability. The Israeli settlement points in Hebron, which were established in breach of Israel 's obligations under international law, cause severe and continuous breaches of international legal provisions intended to protect the human rights of persons under belligerent occupation. Israel contends that it is impossible to ensure the safety of the settlers without separating Palestinians and Israelis in the city, and without infringing the basic rights of the Palestinian residents, which has resulted in Palestinians leaving the City Center . The State of Israel has the legal and moral obligation to evacuate the Israelis who settled in Hebron and bring them back to Israel .
27. Also, an settler threatened to rape my wife and kids,
Palestinian ,   Hevron, Palestine   (11.26.08)
and, an IDF soldier spit on my little girl. If I was an Arab in Hevron, Ynet would have published an article on the two accusations I just made. Ynet is being a corrupt, evil, leftist machine. By writting slanderous articles without any evidence, Ynet also is being less professional than a tabloid.
28. Make Hevron Jews paramilitary
Steve from Raleigh   (11.26.08)
Give them shoulder fired missiles. give them paramilitary authority.
29. #24.. you made me laugh.. and mock yourself
Elchonon ,   Chevron   (11.26.08)
Moral high ground ? your joking right ? from tel aviv.. how many poor and homeless people are in tel aviv ? its a stinkhole! You show off the nice stuff, and let the poor starve.. I know of over 50 charity organizations in the kiryat arba region.. What peace process ? again your so out of touch with reality I wonder if you ever leave the house! What liberal state ? WHERE ARE MY RIGHTS DAMMIT!!! The cops read you no rights when you get arrested, they arrest you on no warrant for no reason, break down your door.. and on and on and on. Wait, settlers have no rights.. isnt that what you believe ? Your tel avivans are nothing but racist haters!
30. Why are you writing this? Hevron Jews are peaceful
BJL ,   usa   (11.26.08)
This reads like something the Nasrralah or Hamas would write. Please dont encite. The Judea and Samaria people only want to live and worship Hashem in the land they have had since Avraham. They are not agressive towards the arabs only defensive. They do not engage in random murder or physical harm like the arabs do. Leave them alone! They are protecting Israel from greater attacks. Do you want to see Judea and Samaria turn into Gaza?
