Since most of Gaza is without heat right now..........the heat trails emminating from homes with tunnels, would be seen from above with infrared very easily I would imagine.

Can't you understand that your gouvernement and your army is lying to you, since 60 years ! Even someone in one of the talkbacks said it was better to know that they were killed by a friendly fire (!?) : that's why it has been said ! Tsahal is hiding you the truth, and ynet also if they don't publish this talkback !
71. #13 a break in communication with G-d?
observer   (01.06.09)
the killed soldiers were not Torah observants, ask the Rabbi. But, if the breach in communication with G-d was due to Hamas, then it is a murder case.
72. why realsing only names of killed Druzim?
observer   (01.06.09)
maybe for religious discrimination reasons. Cpl. Yosef Muadi, 19, is Druzi.
73. #Omani arab..have u forgetton that
Goodday 2u ,   Israel   (01.06.09)
just awhile back that Hamas was attacking its own people..the great Hamas, killed people indiscriminately, whilst they cowered on israel and Egyptian borders begging to escape. I respect Islam and I respect ur opinion, but trust me, no one wants to kill innocent people, its an unfortunate part of war..unlike terrorist attacks that randomly attack people worldwide, did u notice it happening lately, and who happens to be behind most of the acts of terrorism is it Israelis or is it muslims.. Life is precious, urs mine, and i hope that the Palestinians get the freedom they so desire, through education, through hardwork thru friendship, and not thru terrorism and hatred.
74. Friendly Fire or not
Farouk ,   Jerusalem   (01.06.09)
There is two ways to look at this: 1. IDF not capable of identifying real targets accurately and this incident justifies the large toll of civilian deaths on the Palestinian side (4 families completely wiped out yesterday) 2. Hamas did this and they have just struck the first casualities directly, and that justifies IDF killing of civilian Palestinians because IDF wanted to clear way for wounded and fallen soldiers evacuation Point being more civilians to be slaughtered by IDF because IDF cannot fight this war, since 1948 IDF has tried and tried and no peace and no security. Build a wall above ground to stop infilitrations, a wall below ground to stop tunnels and a steel roof over Gaza to stop rockets, shark nets on the beach to stop swimmers, etc etc, Since 1948 this is the dilemma, war or peace everything is always skewed to serve Israel's security and nothing else. The Palestinians react by focusing all their effort on undermining Isarel's security or corrupt leadership. ALl this is done under teh slogans of " we serve the people we represent and want to give them security and better life" and the outcome Israeli and Palestinian civilians will pay the price. A failure of leadership and short memory so lessons are never learnt and excuses galore. Sixty years later it is enough, leaders leave us alone and let us the people work it out. May god have mercy on the both the us.

79. look at the difference in cultures!!!
Ilana   (01.06.09)
I have been following the supporters of Israel compared to the supporters of Hamas. It is quite amazing to note the difference in the ways of expressiing opinions. To summarize : the supporters of Hamas are very obviously anti semetic, usually but not always moslem, and speak with such violence and hatred either directly or indirectly. They rejoice in the dead Israelis (sick!) They never ever, not once condemned the rockets fired onto 1 million Israeli civilians daily and randomly. So obviously they are very far from being concerned about real human rights, They often promise that more is coming!! Even directly! On the other hand, Israel supporters mostly express understanding of why the op was necessary, but still say, either directly or indirectly how sad it is that the civilians in gaza suffer, blaming Hamas mostly, but still feel for civilians suffering. There is not one tb rejoicing any palestinan death!! AMAZING! This difference IMO says it all. This is evedence and no better can be found. They resort to name calling as well (infantile) Go back and check it out, it is completely amazing to see the differnce in culture. How many letters supporting Hamas said that rockets were a war crime ??? Evil vs. good is obvious on tb's as well.
80. Unfortunate and sad, but,...
Gideon Reader   (01.06.09)
in a shooting war, where the participants on both sides have deadly tools, s__t does in fact happen. Battlefield confusion and the "fog of war". Who can tell. Those on our side will suffer greatly, persosnally and emotionally for their unintended part in this tradgedy. I wish them as well as the surviving wounded a speedy recovery from all of their individual trauma. The following investigation will try to remove the circumstances of this incident and try to prevent others in similar circumstances. As much and as bravely falled as in direct contact injuries or fatalities.

With all due respect, let me say this to you: If medication is needed to save the life of a loved one, and this medication is not available due to a blocade, If my family is facing starvation due to that very same blocade, and if my son's future is up in the air due to Israeli arrogance, then I will do much more than just sending a few rockets Israel's way. Much much more than that believe.
83. Perhaps the Tank was a Hamas tank
R Hitchings ,   Methil   (01.06.09)
or a tank Captured by Hamas. Are the crew Still Alive?? if it was a "Friendly Fire Incident".. are they under Arrest? Why are IDF Tank crews so nervous... They are safe inside a Merkvah r they not? Surely Hamas does not have a weapon that can Kill a Tank such as Hizbollah did? Is it Possible that Hizbollah Fighters has helped train Hamas Fighters... and Perhaps given them the Weapons they need to Beat the IDF?? Im Bewildered! and my eyes are moist.
84. lol
Patrick ,   USA   (01.07.09)
Yeah right! way to cover up hamas's work Israel lol. "friendly fire" just admit that you guys are weak when it comes to ground war, but brave in the air!
85. Please, How stupid to you think we are???!!!
Mary ,   Israel   (01.08.09)
Why are all our soldiers killed in friendly fire? Stop lying to us ,and admit that our asses are being kicked in this battle.
