1. 71% of Danes either Stupid,Ignorant or Muslim
rh ,   Modiin Israel   (01.14.09)
That is what the headline should read. Anyone who can possibly equate a terrorist organisation targeting children with a country trying to protect its citizens needs treatment
2. We need good PR speakers such as
peggy ,   Israel   (01.14.09)
Mark Regev, who has been on UK TV a lot. His English of course is perfect, so Israel should have more reps like him, and preferably speaking in the language of the country where interveiwed.
3. Still,much more Israeli PR efforts are needed in Scandinavia
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (01.14.09)
It's good to know Danes understands us better. However in Norway and Sweden the situation is still atrocious with regards to their attitude toward Israel. This is in part due to the traditional Scandinavian sense of bleeding-heart liberalism, a strong influence of Muslim immigrants, and plain antisemitism. But it doesn't have to be this way. With more skilled PR efforts, we could give them our side as well. If so many Danes can see through the Palestinian propeganda and identify with us, then why not Swedes and Norwegians? We just need the right people, making enough PR efforts. In this respect, we have plenty to learn from the Palestinians.

Carsten ,   Copenhagen DENMARK   (01.14.09)
Danes are primarily in favour of Israel and the Jewish people. However there is a great amount of Arabs and other muslims here that demonstrate violently all the time. And the Danes are getting fed up with this un-democratic attitude. And in general the Arabs have managed to portray themself not in a positive way by burning Danish flags and by calling for a islamic jihad against Denmark during the cartoon crises 3 years ago.
5. Fix the problem you created by
Asem ,   ME   (01.14.09)
creating ur country this would help in ur PR effort.

l shama ,   london uk   (01.14.09)
the israeli pr machine needs to work alot harder in ever country. to show the horrors of muslim fundamentalists and ideology.to point out to the world that every day elsewhere in the middle east, iraq ,pakistan ,afganistan muslim is butchering muslim.men women children murdered in markets, mosques by suicide bombers insurgents of their own faith.the rest of the arab world is silent.the U N IS SILENT.the world doesnt weep for these souls..where are the resolutions the demos....should we care...
7. #4 Carsten, Copenhagen - Denmark.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.14.09)
I don't doubt you are getting fed up. I think many in Europe are coming to realize that they have a big problem on their hands. Your politically correct politicians & their left-wing journalist friends have created a rather dangerous future for you. It is perhaps unoriginal to say that trouble starts with anti-Semitism (or it's modern equivalent, anti-Zionism) but eventually finds other targets - when Muslims say, ''First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.'' they aren't kidding. Remember another ideology that started with Jews but then went on to cause war & destruction for all of Europe.
8. demark
lol ,   london   (01.14.09)
denmark will b a muslim majority by 2020....europe has lost its immigration battle
9. Israel is also winning the media war
Klaus K. ,   Germany   (01.14.09)
Israeli PR efforts made very good progress compared to the Lebanon war. The rocket attacks by Hamas are an issue in any discussion. Europe is always against war, so you have to look closer to get to the real opinion of the people. I was really surprised to see so many pro-Israel comments in the media and in mainstream online communities. Support for Israel is clearly growing in Europe, there is no doubt about it.
10. Press reactions in Sweden
NilsG ,   Helsingborg, Sweden   (01.14.09)
On the whole, I have found rather more understanding for the Israeli position this time, compared to in previous military campaigns. Those entrenched in an anti-Israel position remain unmoved, of course, and their use of wording remains vitriolic, but voices are heard defending Israel's obvious right to react against an aggressor .
11. Scandinavians dont see recipient of 6000 rockets as underdog
Alan ,   SA   (01.14.09)
12. Reactions
PAL ,   Sweden   (01.14.09)
I'm a citizen of Sweden. I totally agree in the description of the Swedish attitude towards Israel. I also agree with comment #9. I'm actually surprised that slaming of Israels actions is in way lesser then normally. Some pro-israel arguments are more prominent in the media then before. But as Israel is not beeing totally held responsible for the situation this has escalated the argumantion of Israels critics. A few days ago prominent socialdemocratic politicans protested in a rally against Israel, side by side with people carrying Hamas and Hizzbullah flags. Also the israeli flag was burned. The socialdemocrats are swedens biggest party, and their leader Mona Sahlin is a candidate for the primeministry. I don't belivive they actually want Israels destruction are that they really support Hizzbullah and Hamas, but their naivity is frightening.
13. Danish Response
NYC Girl   (01.14.09)
Perhaps having been the victim of that idiotic fatwa over the Mohammed cartoons has made the Danes more acutely aware of who is really the victim and who is the aggressor, in the same way many of the Dutch got fed up with Muslim fanaticism after the murder of Theo van Gogh. It's probably just a matter of time until the Scandinavian countries piss off the Muslims and then they'll see what it's like to be on the receiving end of their murderous rage.
14. At last, some sanity in Northern Eurabia!!!!
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (01.14.09)
15. That is a big lie
Maria ,   UK   (01.14.09)
There is a similar survey here in the Uk at the moment, when me and my friends tried to vote to support Palestine, the response was " Try again after two hours" , which means our votes weren't accepted , but when we tried to vote to Israel the response was " Thanks for your vote " , what does that mean ?!!! and it is probably the same everywhere ,you cold blooded murderers !!!
16. this is funny
Tore ,   Oslo, Norway   (01.14.09)
You people forget that slick PR is less effective the higher the education. Scandinavia has the highest number of higher educated citizens in the world. You are not going to get anywhere unless you change the facts on the ground. Setlements and occupation is the killer in any discussion.
17. #16 Tore, Oslo - Norway.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.14.09)
If I were you, I would worry more about the ''settlements'' you now have in your major cities & less about our settlements. YOU are being occupied. And, it's not that funny as you will eventually find out.
18. #17 Terry
Logic ,   Israel   (01.14.09)
I read last year about Dutch people emigrating to New Zealand because of what's going on in their country. Of course, each country has their fair share of "brain drain", but I see a trend starting. I predict that in the next 20-30 years we'll see mass migrations from all across western and northern Europe to North America and to Australia/ NZ. Those young enough and with means will seek opportunity elsewhere - not in lands full of riots and sharia pressure. If this happens as I predict, it will mirror the emigrations of the 19th century. Places like Kansas and Minnesota will see new immigrants from Sweden and Norway - the first time since westward expansion!
19. Real Danes with Israel
Blond Mermaid ,   Denmark   (01.14.09)
"real" Danes are mostly in favor of israel, and understand the need to bomb Gaza, as it has become a terrorist nest. More and more Danes awake now to the danger of Islamism in our country. As I told you once, we support you !
20. #16
PAL ,   Sweden   (01.14.09)
if anyone was looking for an explanation to (some) of the scandinavian countries approach to the conflict then comment #16 is your answer. Scandinavians are just a little bit better than the rest of the world. Tore, and people like him, understands peace, democracy, and of course warfare, better then you poor uneducated people down there in the dark south....
21. Never forget the debt owed to the Danes in WWII
usa   (01.14.09)
They protected and helped their Jewish citizens escape from Nazi persecution. The people polled who are anti-Israel are probably just immigrant or unassimilated Muslims and leftist sympathizers. The REAL (ethnic) Danes have proven time and again that they are fair-minded people. Ask THEM what they think about the war in Gaza. I'm sure you'll get a fair-minded response.
22. #1: the perfect ambassador for your country :-)
RAGUSA   (01.14.09)
I will not dignify your talkback with a comment, just wondering if you think you are doing the image of Israel any good this way. # 16 is right, neither Israeli nor PA propaganda has any major influence in DK. Danes accept the right to selfdefence by Israel, but not the disproportinate and random shelling of palestinians, that do not neccesarily support Hamas.
23. Danes - The Hobbits of Europe
John ,   Denmark   (01.14.09)
A weak immigraton policy has made our country into a pile of crap. Arab thugs are now owing the streets of Copenhagen and neither danes nor jews are safe. The danes are slowly starting to see the results of this disaster policy, but instead of doing something about it, they prefer to tend their little houses and gardens, letting "The Big Folks" taking care of the action. But just wait and see when terrorism will hit this country, and it will happen, then you'll see a 99% support of Israel. I'm sorry to say that I'm ashamed of my country. Kadima Israel!
24. Danes Lean Towrds Israel *16
Mick ,   England   (01.14.09)
Educated country? With an original mandate that clearly has an anti semitic ruling? Don't make me laugh. Norway's education sysatem seems geared to breeding anti semites like Mads Gilbert and his card carrying moaist friends. Speaks volumes doesn't it?.
25. #16: now here is some educating you
NOA ,   Beer Sheva   (01.14.09)
Lesson 1: Hitler was also elected democratically 2. Dresden was bombed out and still Germans donĀ“t hate the allied forces 2. Germany developed a nice democracy under occupation. 5. Think: why would we send ground forces into the strip, although we would not endanger our boys if we just fired from the air. 6. Talk to people: Settlers and Arabs used to get along very well until the start of the first Intifada. Palastinians are under remote control, and I feel sorry for them.
26. #18 Logic, Israel.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.14.09)
Many Europeans are leaving, that's for sure. I have read many reports showing that Brits are leaving ''multi-cultural'' England as are many French. But, keep in mind that Europe has always been quite xenophobic until very recently. I needn't remind you of their anti-Semitic past & the result. It's just as likely that there will be quite a backlash - time will tell.
27. Europe is fed up
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.14.09)
With those anti Israel demonstrations causing damage , hurting people and so . They begin to see what kind of people we have to deal with .
28. #15 UK Maria booooo hoo!
usa   (01.14.09)
I guess you'll just have to get out there and join your Molotov-cocktail-throwing-tire-burning-embassy-fire-bombing buddies. Don't forget to wear your souvenir "death to israel and america" hijab before you run out the door. Twit.
29. #1 The stupidest thing the Danes ever did was
(01.14.09)
allow the mass immigration of Muslims into their country. I'll bet they regret it every day of their lives.
30. Your Manipulation of Numbers
PD ,   LA, USA   (01.16.09)
First, know that this is FROM the son of the man who was in charge of the Danish operation that smuggled out most of the Jews from Danmark at the start of WWII. Look up the story. He was Chief of Police in Copenhagen when the German Troops marched in. Aside from all of the Zionist BS, the genocide of the Palestinians, no passports, no citizenship, 24hour a day curfews, you treat them as modern House Niggers. And yes, the rest of us are sick of you crying Anti-sem... at every criticism.... Find a new tune. As for your numbers, the 29% and 22% are statistically even. Did you not go to school? or did you only learn propaganda and media manipulation there? After all these years of a Zionist state, and look at the mess it STILL is... not even a ratified constitution! The rest of us are simply tired of you crybabies. By the way, more Jews die of tylenol in Isreal EVERY year than the 4 that have died of the Hamas bottle rockets. LOOK IT UP! But over a 1,000 dead palestinians.... do you think the rest of the world it TOTALLY STUPID? I am sure when my father risked his life for the Jews in Danmark, he dreamed of a better outcome. You have been given a chance beyond measure by the World and you have spit in our collective eyes!
