(A) Israelis and their overseas supporters. Who would have dismissed Warsaw Ghetto Jews as militants? (B) Nazis and Nazi-lovers. He seeks to imply (A) and (B) are comparable, in such a way as to be able to weasel out of any legitimate accusation against him. Ok these people are his neighbors and he lives amongst them, it is his home and there are Jews there he cares for I am sure. I understand why he wants to show them the complexity of "free will" and individuality so, he and his friends don't become stereotyped. For the record, I do not agree with Kaufman's claim that the Israeli government is exploiting the Holocaust. As you say, he provides no evidence. As for the issue of whether he is a traitor or not, I respectfully have to disagree with you. "Supporting each other" is admirable, in times of war it is certainly necessary(for many different reasons), but the term "self-hating jew"(along with a bunch of other derogatory terms used in this talkback section) seems to me to be a way of delimiting discourse and inhibiting free speech. I am SICK AND TIRED of hearing this argument. WHEN? When did the Israeli government use the Holocaust to justify actions in Gaza? When did Zionists or any Israelis ever use the Holocaust or Nazism to justify ANYTHING? I hear the Israelis justify their actions by pointing to previous Hamas actions, statements, intentions, rocket attacks, etc. But I never hear Israel point to the Holocaust out of nowhere and then use it for justification of anything.
