31. #13 Here's an old article of Rosen's on Ynet
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (01.19.09)
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3266113,00.html Read it. Then, read the quote toward the end: "Of course, we must warn people and allow them to escape, in accordance with halacha (Jewish law), derived from verses in the Torah. As Maimonides wrote nearly 1000 years ago: "When we lay siege to a city in order to capture it, do not encircle it on all sides. Rather, you must allow the enemy room to flee, in order to save their lives." So what Rabbi Rosen state? That in a war, the Israeli army is obliged to give the civilians in Gaza a chance to escape after warnings - but not to go out of its limb to protect their lives should they remain. That the Israeli army risks itself, the lives of its soldiers, and the lives of Israeli citizens, so as to not kill a Gazan citizen by mistake is abhorrent to him. That's all he said. He didn't call for mass-murder. I've looked far and wide for the article you've mentioned - I looked on Haaretz, I looked on Arutz Sheva's website, and so on and so forth... nothing. What I did find was this: http://www.sott.net/articles/show/154411-Cheerleading-genocide Notice the date on this little anti-Israel propaganda piece? April 2008, 10 months ago. So let me guess, this particular slur and rumor had been going around the block for some time now. Either provide the actual original article, which you claim was written last week, or admit to spreading unverified rumors.
32. It seems Olmert &Co need HAMAS to stay
Lednah ,   Europe   (01.19.09)
It seems Olmert and his sidekick Livni need HAMAS to stay in power. Guess they think this is the way to give chance for both of them to stay in the politics and get a relelection. Don't know if they are right or not. Maybe the first thing they will try is to postopone the elections.

Try to convince your belovers of hamas, hizballah, syria and iran to recognize Israel and to avoid terror around the world...remeber AMIA in Argentina? internet shows also how muslims think, you read history from UKnistan books and forget Israel is there since 3000 years ago....there will be peace only after muslims change hate into love to their kids....
34. Polititians are corrupt but soldiers are still the best!
Trumpeldor   (01.19.09)
Gabi Askenazi can be favourably compared to former IDF chiefs of staff. Polititians are a nuisance but younger generations among kipot srugot will take over !
35. Israel strenthened Hamas...
eggjelly ,   israel   (01.19.09)
Friendly neighbours? get real... Tunnels dug to kidnap soldiers,to smuggle in weapons, and pencil rockets..dumb to even think how "friendly"you are. When the crossings were open,in came suicidal maniacs-now closed,so hamas want them open again-you really are dumb!!!
36. to tayffun:"revenge"
Arie ,   BaGolan   (01.19.09)
and I presume the Kurds and Armenians will want revenge for the numerous children YOU have killed?
37. 26# get in here
Daniel ,   Rehovot   (01.19.09)
Let me explain what is your problem: You never blame yourself, You accuse everybody for your poor situation plus you amazigly perpetuate the "refugee problem". Why instead of building hotels and infrastructures and developing this amazing-potential peace of land(look what the jews built there before they left for an instance) you choose to build terror infrastructure? and hell don't tell me you didn't got the money!! Another thing is that you never learn your lesson again & again- But you are experts in crying to the world cameras God you are so good at it!! and if you claim that this is not terror but 'opposition' than fine -but why within the heart of citizens don't be surprized to find them dead in the end. But again you will never blame Hamas so its all gone.
38. Nice one Roman...Sarah...Sarah? Where are you?

39. Ever wonder why no one gives their names?
William ,   Israel   (01.19.09)
The world is so blind to the death cult that is Hamas. They did the same while Saddam butchered hundreds of thousands for years and sat by. Today, they see the fear in these Gazans eyes yet still thrust them back into the bussom of Hamas. The world apathy and anti-semestism is to blame for the Pals continued bad conditions. Oh, and also the racism and calls for genocide from the Pals themselves.
40. #2 - If that's true, please explain 2nd Intifiada
William ,   Israel   (01.19.09)
"on the other hand, people will never accept throwing rockets if their wellfare life is secured. " You and I both know this isn't true at all. The Palestinians had the fastest growing econoomy in the world in 1999 and threw it all away in order to attack Israel in 2000. Today, Pals in the West Bank, a region with an economy that is now growing, wanted to throw it all away in order to battle Israel in a 3rd Intifada. Gazans had tons of aid promised, advanced greenhouses, and an industrial park for workers...and they destroyed them all once Israel left in 2005. Now the areas are used to train Hamas men rather than create jobs and housing. Your claim ignores one true thing - Pals are inherently violent and hate Israel more than they love themselves.
41. #31 - Nice job Roman
William ,   Israel   (01.19.09)
Notice the motto at the top of this racist paper full of lies and distortions... "The World for People who Think" Can't be much cognitive action going on in their readers to buy this tripe.
42. Gazans continue to lie, even to themselves
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (01.19.09)
Gazan (#26) writes, "Palestine has been a state in the Arab as well as the ottoman empire for hundreds of years." We all know that to be absolute rubbish, yet this is what they teach themselves. Though this article from al' Reuters contains the usual pro-Palestinian biases, it does expose the amoral nature of that people. They have no problem firing rockets at civilians, they just want them to be BIG rockets, destructive enough to make victory conceivable. It's the same thing we see in their attitude toward terrorism and suicide bombings. To the extent they "condemn" them at all, it's never because these acts are immoral or wrong, it's that they "don't serve the Palestinian cause". It's a results oriented morality. In my book, that puts them beyond the pale.
43. #26 You are no more Palastinian than us Israeli!
Jayjay33 ,   Israel   (01.19.09)
Quit the lies! You do not have a history as a PAlastinian people dating back to the ottoman empire! It used to be called Jewish PAlastine, till 67 when the Egyptian born(not Palastinian!) Arafat came to Israel and made up the lie of an Arab PAlestine! You Gazzans are Egyptian, West BAmnk are Jordan, and you only call yourselves Palastinian as an excuse to steal more Jewish land off us. Go back to Egypt you occupier!
44. Gazan #17
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (01.19.09)
Habibi... Before 1947 The Palestinians were Jews and Arabs. After spreading Islam by the sword you got as far as Spain (Grenada) with your algebra and enjoyed a centre of learning there. Hamas is not interested in algebra unless Jews are killed in the equation. Shalom Sa'alam http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=WJsrCxzY-Lw
45. #26 - Gazan - Oh, you're so precious
William ,   Israel   (01.19.09)
I just love to see the naivete in your eyes when you state how great you are and actually believe it. 1) If Pals aren't different from Arabs then please tell average Pals. They, including Arafat, seem to think they are from Canaanite and Philistine mix, though no DNA test has ever proven it. To this day, I hear Pals call themselves a distinct genetic group. 2) Palestine was never a "state" in any world - be it Arab or Turkish. It was a region, like Ramot is a "region" of Jerusalem. The only distinct area in the region was called the Levant, which included Syria, Lebanon, and parts of Jordan. 3) Sure - Arabs DID bring math and sciences advances....1200 years ago, and nothing since. Those advances were actually Zoroastrian in nature, not Arab. Arabs also brought war, forced conversions, racism against non-Muslims, and swept across the area bringing death to original inhabitants. So I do thank you for the algebra and for acknowledging Arabs as an occupying power who stole the land in 642AD.
