Do NOT take your frustrations out on me Sheila.Rather,be angry at the German nazi who put on this sick exhibition.Or perhaps I am to blame for the worldwide financial crisis,or the recent war in Gaza as well? talk about blaming the jews.Maybe it is YOU who are sick.Take a good ,long ,hard look.
62. #53 Please Don't Take It Out On Me

Aside from most people disagreeing on calling this "art", how about using people's bodies w/o their consent and probably against their will? "morality" or "human's rights and dignity" are also inexistent for you ???? Why just don't you sign and donate your body this way once you die?? And my be we'll make money on you and not on poor victims'?? I was in SA when the exibit was shown, but declined to visit inside. We are all created in the image of G-d and this is no medine academy! There are plenty of fake models to show exactly the same. Wanting to see "the real thing" sounds morbid at best "art" is no god of mine

if animals were used for the same type of exhibit I haven't a doubt that there would be a whole group of people who would be out there protesting animal abuse! so I am not really clear why it is that so many TBers are slapping down the Haradim on this one!

We just don't care about non jews' opinion about ethic and moral issues in our land. This is our business, and, quite frankly,it is not your's at all, even you being free to speak out. We just don't care about what you think or not.
69. The Haredim are CORRECT and this on :-)

Ben ,   Chutzlaretz   (03.23.09)
Though I generally am all about free speach - This isn't an instant of keeping the Beetles out, this is a non-scientific minimally educational display of human bodies for pleasure. Keep it out! If someone wants to do a scientific display with lables and a respectful manner of showing the bodies, I would be more comfortable. This, however, is a gratutious display of cadavres for morbid pleasure. Sorry! there have to be some limits to what can be displayed as art. To those who feel this is no big deal I ask: What would YOU not allow? At what point do you find somehting too offensive? Nothing? A display of Pedophilia? Bestiality? Where is your limit or is it truly anything goes?
71. 66/68 - according to most of these jewish talkbackers, nope
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (03.23.09)
or can you not read? besides, if you don't like it, don't go. we israeli gentiles and non-haredi jews don't like being legislated to. and we outnumber you.
72. the exhibition is not ethical
Yael F. ,   Paris France   (03.23.09)
That exhibition is a shame .it's opposite to the main principles of judaism. It' s also very doubtful.Where do these bodies come from?
73. Nauseating and disrespectful
Lior ,   Israel   (03.25.09)
I am definitely not going to see this exhibit. I think it's terrible, and I am not chareidi.
74. Son of the SS-father

They are definately right that this show shouldn't be held in Israel. Do you know that Gunther von Hagen's father served in SS?
75. Kedushas haAretz
Joseph ,   London UK   (03.29.09)
The sanctity of Eretz Israel does not allow for desecration of the dead [whether in the Science Museum or the Tolerance Museum] -- or for Jews to sell Chometz during Pesach. Israel is not a nation like all the other nations. It should be a Light unto the nations. Pupils can study the human body in other ways, virtually or through models.
76. London
Yossi ,   London England   (03.29.09)
Dr Death was in London and publicised his views and work. The general popular response was quite negative. He was no more popular with Gentiles than with Jews, Muslims or Hindus. What sort of people enjoy viewing plasticated corpses? Perhaps there should be a psychiatric session included in the entrance fee.

Since you state that you live in London, you have no more rights in Israel than I do. I too am not an Israeli, but I am a Jew and as such find your post to be quite foolish to say the least. First of all, Israel was established to be a homeland for all Jews even though England tried her damndest to prevent it from ever happening. Secondly, you say Israel was established because of Torah. It is much more accurate to say she was established in spite of Orthodox Judaism. Thirdly, the Torah has been and still is where the Jewish people are; be it Israel or anywhere else in this world. I know there are synagogues in London. Been there, done that. Which sect of Jewish belief are you a member of? UO? O?
78. human body exhibits
Gayla Henderson ,   San Diego, USA   (08.24.09)
I agree with the article I just read about the ethics of using human bodies in exhibits for the public's amusement . I also question where and how all these fresh bodies are acquired. There's big money in it which I believe explains the increase in the number of these shows.
