As a US university student, stories like this and some of the protests I see weekly or monthly make me very excited about the prospect of moving to Israel. Assuming, for the sake of argument you are correct, Israel accepted United Nations Resolution 181 recommending partition of what little remained of the British Mandate for a Jewish national home. The partition called for a Jewish state and an Arab state. The Jews should not have accepted this bad plan but they did. The Arabs declared war against the nascent Jewish state. Had it been the Americans that this happened to, the Americans would have driven every single enemy Arab out of the country, just as they expelled Native Americans west of the Mississippi river; which brings me back to my earlier question above. My wife and I visited S'derot on 11 Novermber 09. We listened to the local psychiatrist and her staff. There was a Tzeva adom alert. A missle landed. The psychological injuries in Southern Israel are palpable. They are a battle victory from the terrorists' standpoint in the war to eliminate Israel and its values including freedom of speech. The events in Chicago have occured in several other places in the U. S. including in Los Angeles just two months ago. We must all fight for freedom of speech and honesty of debate lest we repeat the tradgedies of history.
