5. Don`t do this to poor Nasrallah
Nora ,   Tel Aviv   (05.23.09)
Just at the very moment that Hizballah is ready to guarantee its political victory in the elections, to accuse them of assassinating FormerLebanese PM Hariri, would endanger their their plans of Iranisation of Lebanon.
6. the bombs stopped after mughniyeh's death

7. HHMMMMMM,WHAT A TIMELY DISCLOSURE
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (05.23.09)
Coinciding with elections in Lebanon. This now indicates of Hizbullah's success in its campaign .Are we expected to believe that an ordinary Lebenese would pay attention to this crap?
8. Israel is Preparing to Kill Him
SKM Sunali ,   Cairo, Egypt   (05.23.09)
Obama must have given Netanyahu the go-ahead. This is classic pre-assasination propaganda by Israel. Just wait...
9. What a load of cow manure
Noor ,   Palestine   (05.23.09)
Israel is fearing over Hezbollah's increasing level of support among the people of Lebanon. Israel wants NO resistance because the only way it can thrive is if there are puppet leaders surrounding it. Well, that;s just too darn bad; Israel will soon find itself surrounded by REAL and not puppet leaders. Hezbollah will win the elections; it doesnt take a genius to know that, and Israel is determined to stop this. Wont work, though!!!
10. # 1 Alexander the dum!!!!!!!

11. #1 - who's "everybody"?
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (05.23.09)
Even the Lebanese themselves don't blame Israel. Even they know that Israel had no interest whatsoever in assassinating a leader who wanted prosperity and peace for Lebanon, whereas Syria, Iran and Hizbullah had all the reasons in the world to have him dead. If you can't provide a solid explanation and proof to your ludicrous theory, better stay quiet.

Alan ,   SA   (05.23.09)
13. SOME MORE TO COME AS WELL
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (05.23.09)
To blame Hizbullah being responsible for the same.Lebanon still has 42 days before the elections and a minor incidence of violence can be attributed to Hizbullahs. You never know.
14. IT WOULDN'T WORK.................#5
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (05.23.09)
Nora. These are last minute desperation.Do you mean to tell me that USA's Vice President was in Lebanon to try Lebenese food?Even an ordinary person would pick up something fishy here.
15. NOT AT ALL,NORA...........'5
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (05.24.09)
In fact this gives a clear indication of Hizbullahs success.Do you expect an ordinary Lebenese citizen to believe it? No way.
16. a load of crap
Lior ,   Israel   (05.24.09)
In now way would I ever let Hizbullah off the hook for anything but SYRIA was behind the Hariri assignation. It was indeed even Lebanon and the UN who at first pointed the finger at Syria. This is like a cheap grade b movie where the motive for throwing this on Hizbullah is to whitewash Syria so Syria can be seen as a real genuine peace partner with Israel thus a legitimate foreign body. Whoever dreamed this flimsy scenario as something the world would be gullible enough to swallow deserves a good hard slap!! Syria is one of the worst 'potential' peace partners on the planet earth.
17. Will the disclosure of this information really harm Nasrallah?
Shaul ,   Sheboygan   (05.24.09)
Or will the added notoriety gain him unexpected additional votes?
18. Spies and rumors
Joke?   (05.24.09)
Right. We must be close to a major announcement after dozens of spies were questioned so it's time for a preemptive "rumor".
19. So let me get this straight
SarahSue ,   USA   (05.24.09)
Finally we have some good old fashioned detective work that has revealed some names that belong to real people. Yet we would rather believe the hysterical reporting made by journalists that have no compunction to making charges without any facts behind them. They accuse Israel because they want Israel to be guilty. There is nothing suspicious about the timing. The information is clearly being released when the Lebanese need it most. They now know some hard facts and can use them as they see fit. Whether it will make any difference remains to be seen.
20. #11, "everyone"
Danny   (05.24.09)
are all the people who think it is obvious that anti-SYRIAN MPs would not be killed by either Syria or it's pawn Hizbollah. A few of them have posted here. Never mind there is zero evidence against Israel, never mind there is tons of evidence against Syria and Hizbollah. Never mind that Hizbollah and Syria have repeatedly and violently intervened to prevent a tribunal which presumably "everyone" knows will "prove" the Zionists did it. Just ignore any facts, make new "facts" up and lie. It is the anti-Israeli way!
21. Crime of passion
Mohamad ,   Troy, USA   (05.24.09)
Nasrallah was in love with Hariri's wife.
22. Just typical Arab political behavior
Cameron ,   USA   (05.24.09)
Noor & Mahmood - gents, you are so uptight that if they (Hizbullah?) stuck a piece of coal up your bottoms, it would come out a diamond. Hang loose with the UN report. We expect no better of Arabs & politics than you do.
23. I am sure that was Hizbullah and it makes lots of sense...

what are you afraid of ?
26. Made up story
Sami ,   Canada   (05.24.09)
Here few extracts from that article that show the weakness of this made up story: -“This leaves the question of motive unanswered. Many had an interest in Hariri's death. Why should Hezbollah -- or its backers in Iran -- be responsible? Hariri's growing popularity could have been a thorn in the side of Lebanese Shiite leader Nasrallah. In 2005, the billionaire began to outstrip the revolutionary leader in terms of popularity. Besides, he stood for everything the fanatical and spartan Hezbollah leader hated: close ties to the West and a prominent position among moderate Arab heads of state, an opulent lifestyle, and membership in the competing Sunni faith. Hariri was, in a sense, the alternative to Nasrallah.” So Nasrallah killed Harriri because he was afraid that Harriri is becoming more popular than him!!!??? Can any stupid believe in that!!! “The revelations about the alleged orchestrators of the Hariri murder will likely harm Hezbollah.” So its I clear the timing of this story to effect the election. “On Friday evening, the press office in Leidschendam responded tersely to a written inquiry from SPIEGEL, noting that it could not comment on "operational details." So from where Speigel got all these details??? Classified information from UN tribunal investigation obtained by German daily 'Der Spiegel' “ But how these classified were obtained ,is a mystery like AlSiddik myth. . The judgement is your.

Noor ! If Hezbollah wins,Lebanon losses, can you tell me please, how does Lebanon benefit by beying under the boot of the Iranian Stalin,Ali Haminai.Poor Lebanon, first,it was forced by the Arab league to take in the palestinian terrorists, after they were expeled from Jordan, when the terrorists were forced out from Lebanon by Israel, the Iranian terrorists took over Lebanon with the help of the quislings from Hezbollah. How will the people of Syria, who are mostly suni react to have an agressive shiia nation like Iran as a neighbor ?.
30. This is the stupidist report ever
Jim Doll ,   Chicago   (05.24.09)
I am an American who listened to Nassrallah speaches and I can tell he is a very intelligent person and a very moral politician. To say that due to envy, he killed Harriri is to insult the intelligence of your readers. The least that can be said is that this is a racist report that assumes Arabs are stupid. I gues, the author is stupid
