34. #30 Talula - Why is it that every time we are uncomfortable
Jake   (07.30.09)
with an idea, we bring out the "starving children". Eat your carrots - children are starving in Africa. Don't build the Temple - children are starving everywhere.
35. i would rejoice
hsg   (07.30.09)
if the entire thing was dragged into the ground.temple mount, dome of the rock, western wall, even the holy sepulchre, just to be fair. that would solve so much of the world's problems. ah one can only dream.
36. YOU WILLGET A"KLONk" ON YOUR HEAD AS IT WILL COME DOWN FROM

37. the temple will be rebuilt
Eyal ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.30.09)
but only with he coming of mashiach, we today could not rebuild the temple because we have no kingship. but when mashiach comes, thats all gonna change :-) oh and we definately know EXACTLY where the temples were built. so do the muslims. thats exactly why they errected their dome in its place... to (attempt to) prevent us from rebuilding :-)
38. Sorry to disappoint those of inherited falsehood
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.30.09)
Just as biblical prophecy predicted that God will return the Jews to Israel. Just as biblical prophecy predicted that the descendants of Ishmael would lead the world in trying to prevent their return. Just as biblical prophecy predicted that the Ishmaelites will build a structure over the Temple mount you can predict for yourself; that what is on the Temple Mount today will not be there in the future. Israel's enemies will soon learn that God promises are eternal. No matter what the world does, it's God will that prevails.
39. Yes, take the money from the Haradim to do it!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (07.30.09)
This Tisha b' Av thing is total nonsense! To bring a country into a state of mourning and a fast because the Temple was destroyed on two occasions and the Jews banished from Jerusalem is ridiculous! It is another example of the religious coercion that has plagued this country for 61 years and continues to do so. However, if you go with the "disaster for the Jewish People" reason then why is Yom Ha'Shoah, day we remember the slaughter of 6,000,000 Jews and the destruction of Jewish property not a fast day? Why is Crystal Night, when Jews were killed and Synagogues burned not a fast day? Why are there no days of remembrance for the Expulsion of Jews from Spain, York (England) and so many other atrocities that have befallen our people not thousands of years ago but during the few centuries and particularly the last 100 years? Yes, rebuild the Temple as a symbol, not of Harediism and force but of a strong State of Israel, a home for the Jews of this world, religious, secular, Sepharadi or Ashkenazi, black or white in fact anyone who would have qualified to be exterminated, butchered or persecuted by the Nazis, the Communists, the Spaniards, the Ukrainians, the Poles, the Croatians, the Catholics, Protestants, Islam and so many others for the simple reason he is a Jew! That would be a REAL Mitzvah!
40. #34 BECAUSE
Talula ,   Israel   (07.30.09)
there ARE thousands of children in this country who go to bed hungry - if there's cash to flash, it should be sent in the direction where it's needed most - not to rebuild a temple that was knocked down a billion years ago. Ynet! I don't appreciate you editing my TBs, ESPECIALLY when it did not contain anything that was against the terms of use!!!!
41. al-Aqsa Mosque with its Dome of the Rock have been built
Palestinian   (07.30.09)
when to revive this site of worship that Allah has blessed in the Qura'an and that is mentioned in the Hadith to be the site were many of the previous prophets worshipped. For Muslims all prophets from Abraham to Muhammad are Muslims. Ibrahim called his followers the "submitters" which translates to "Muslims" in Arabic. Therefore, God has fullfilled his promise that this site is for his pure worship, and this is what al-Aqsa Mosque with its Dome of the Rock is for. This i the second spot on earth that was build for God's worship and 40 years after the Kaabah in Mecca. Therefore this is an exclusively Islamic sites that the Muslims have revived and rebuilt after Roman negligance... By the way, Kaab al-Ahbar, a Jewish Rabbi who converted to Islam helped Omar Bin al-Khattab in pin pointing the location of the foundation Rock on which al-Aqsa mosque was built. al-Aqsa Mosque in Islam is one of three sites for which one should travel to visit, and all other Mosques after those three are the same in virtue. Finally, al-Aqsa Mosque is the site form which Miraaj or Ascension happens including that of the Prophet Muhammad. The location of al-Aqsa Mosque was the first Qiblah "Prayer Direction" in Islam... Jerusalem and its Mosque are crucial in the Islamic faith, with the site of al-Aqsa Mosque explicitly referred to in the Qura'an and Jerusalem mentioned over 80 times by referencing in Quran and hundreds of time in Hadith. Islam has fullfilled God's promise to the Israelites who are considerd in Islam among the earliest Submitters "Muslims"...

44. The only temple
(07.30.09)
that israelis are utterly devoted to is dear old natbag airport lol. Absolutely imperative that there are loads of treif 'eat as much as ucan, all included' booths for the 'you know whos' to worship at, 'cos, after all, they live to eat. The rest of us eat to live.
45. #40 We'll rebuild the Temple and feed the needy
Moshino ,   Israel   (07.30.09)
Parnassah for Am Israel is designated directly by HaShem. The moment we decide to rebuild the Temple, we'll have enough money for the Temple and for the needy. One thing should not conflict with the other. All the righteous in the world will rejoice that we finally have a place hence to spread the love of G.d to all the world. B'meherah b'yamenu akhshaiv!
46. To Nour #17 and #27
Palestinian   (07.30.09)
I think there is something that seems to be unclear when discussed among Muslims. First all Muslims acknowledge that al-Aqsa Mosque is the second Mosque built on earth since its creation, the first being Kaabah... When Omar bin al-Khattab entered Jerusalem, he asked the Arab Christian Patriach Safronious this simple question: "Show me masjid Dawood?"... Which means show me the site where David took as a site of prostation and worship literally masjid. Now, a Hadith from the Prophet Muhammad explains that Suleiman or Solomon completed the construction of Beit al-Maqdis.... Beit al-Maqdis is again this same site of worship from David's time... Now this is the site that prophet Muhammad visited and ascended from... What we call as Beit al-Maqdis is what the Jews call Beit Ha-Mikadesh... In other words we are talking about the same thing. Since Islam acknowledges that the Israelites are among the first to submit to Allah, that is "Muslims" and since David or Dawood as mentioned in the Quran was the first Caliph, you could again see that we are talking about the same thing Jews and Muslims. A side note: Islam is the only religion from the Abrahamic religions that is named after a practice, which is submission. Judaism and Christianity for example in Arabic are named after Geographic places... Judaism is named after Judah, and Christianity in Arabic 'Nasarah' or literally Nazarenes is really named after Nazareth... The word Jews was never used during Moses time, and not during Abraham's time...

shana ,   israel   (07.30.09)
Throw your words- go on! This Jewish woman is a descendant of Devorah, Yael, Sarah, Rivka, Leah and don't mess with Mama Rachel!!! You know what - that scares you. You fear the Temple, what it stands for and what it means. And you should be afraid... G-d doesn't take it easy on those who laugh at his holy Torah. His beautiful land- His gift to the Jews. And His Chosen Nation. Secular, Traditional, Religious... We are His! Yes, there I go again- the Jewish inheritance. Every inch belongs to us. Because G-d Said so- that's why. Panic and offense is the tool of the ignorant.

55. SURVEY THIS!
Bill Staar ,   Chicago USA   (07.30.09)
Would Israel accept the Saudi peace initiative in exchange for the TEMPLE? The promise of peace, and normalized relations doesn't seem to cut it. The Temple is the kind of hard asset that accepting the Saudi peace plan makes the risk worth taking. Mr Netanyahu will go down in history with the likes of king Solomon if he were make peace and get the Temple in exchange. Israel will not be complete, let alone a Jewish nation without the Temple. Add the Temple to the equation and maybe that will be enough to give up the settlements, the Golan, And allow only those alive at the time the right of return. Take a survey, and see if the majority of the people of Israel would agree with what I am suggesting.

if the al aqsa and dome of the rock were indeed representing the "third temple" they would not be reincarnated 4 to 5 times after experiencing earthquakes. it was first direction when muhammad tried to appease the jews in return for him to be accepted as a prophet which that did not took place. therefore he changed the direction. muhammad dreamt about it. it did not really happened. he never step a foot in Jerusalem for real. omar however did. muslim is not familiar definition nor submitter until the advance of Islam which is 7 century ce. and islam is not true religion nor I know there is any true religion exist. muhammad has uncomplimentary historical records which does not qualify him to be a prophet not by the Jewish books. nor a decent person by universal laws. he was the Adolph Hitler in ancient times and Koran is the Mein Kampf of the 7 century ce http://forum09.faithfreedom.org/index.php
