You are right that the World doesn't revolve around Jews. It revolves around "Palestinians".
62. FACTS and REACTIONS to other comments

1. I also read about the JUDE Passport marks, emphatically not (only) in the German passports, but in the Swedish one too. I read about it in Hungary's prime quality weekly a couple of years ago - "HVG" i.e.: "Weekly World Economy" - broadly translating. 2. Any past policy - whether good or bad - carries little relevance today - in this respect I agree. The oft repeated references about Wallenberg is IRRELEVANT. I perfectly know the vast majority of the Hungarian Jews' rose-colored views on Sweden because of this, the only problem is that it carries no weight in today's debate one iota on the one-hand, while on theother it's not 100 per cent congruent with reality. I am not deluded by Sweden's humanitarian gestures. 3. It would habe been wonderful to know what exactly is the reaction of Swedes posting/commenting here about the link I provided in my previous TB, an essay on Sweden's general state in today's time. What are these Swedish people are to make of this situation? That, with all due respect, their country is DYING from inside. This is in light of the events on the ground is credible. Why the silence? Why the hiding, the non-reaction on the brusselsjournal.com article??? Care to elaborate please? 63. Nils and Gabor , regarding "jude" in passports
Charles ,   Petach Tiokva   (08.22.09)
I would like to have the source where Doron has found it . I searched , but did'nt find any . What i found : nazi germany passports for Jews were marked with a J on Swedish and Swiss demand . This in the autumn of 38 . But Jews had already the obligation to "judaize" their names . Doron also spoke of sterilisation , nothing confirmed this either . Gabor regarding your link . I don't think that the situation in Sweden has any relation to this "report" we are talking about .

I may be wrong - I "sort of remembered" and there has been a lot posted in Swedish concerning the actions of Sweden in the late 30s and early 40s. I did do a search on the sterilisation issue, and stand by my findings. It has been nice talking to you.

1. citation needed 2. Wallenberg IRRELEVANT, J stamps in passports relevant? Isn't that a little selective? 3. it's not relevant in this discussion. It's also poorly written, narrow minded and doesn't give a true image of today's Sweden. It also uses the same kind of rethorics as the Swedish democrats, islamophobes and racists. Bear in mind, nazists also used this kind of rhetorics. And you tell Gustav that he shouldn't lecture you over Hungarian history, what do you have to say about these interesting pieces of history? - Introduced anti-jew laws in 1938 - Deported thousands of jews during Hitlers reign. This until, among others, the Swedish king successfully urged the halt of these deportations. - Had a ruling party with loud anti-semitic voices (MDF) as late as 1992. /Lena

What in the world does Holland and Geert Wilders has to do with this issue? Are you for real when you say that Geert Wilders speak the truth? Let me give you some background on his various statements (from wikipedia): "The present Article 1 of the Dutch constitution, guaranteeing equality under the law, will be replaced by a clause stating the cultural dominance of the Christian, Jewish and humanist traditions." "A ban of five years on the founding of mosques and Islamic schools; a permanent ban on preaching in any other language but Dutch." "tear out half of the Koran if they wished to stay in the Netherlands" because it contains 'terrible things' and that Muhammad would "... in these days be hunted down as a terrorist." That man is a islamophobe and an outright idiot.
68. Check your facts
Peter ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (08.24.09)
Sweden does have a strong human rights record. While it sadly isn't completely devoid of nazis or other right wing nutters, the majority of swedes are as firmly against anti-semitism as they are against most forms of racism (except, maybe islamophobia, which seems more widespread). These are the simple facts. Don't let your biased media (or your biased, right wing nationalist government) tell you otherwise, because that would be as slanderous as that silly article in Aftonbladet.
