Why does Israel allow a reporter from Al Jazerra in to the country? This is just plain stupidity on Israel's part. She is obviously there to promote the alleged victims and not there to report on the security threat to Israel. Shame on the government officials who allow such trash into Israel.

even as a reporter you can get a load of pepper spray or tear gas on your head if you´re covering a demonstration in europe. there are much more serious attacks on demonstrators or a free press around the globe. but it´s not the gentlest way of dealing with journalists. but it makes good pictures for broadcasting.

See the other Ynet headline about a mortar shell being fired at Israel. Al Jazeers is very consistent in not reporting attacks by Palestinians against Israeli civilians, nor Palestinian violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement - of which there have been a substantial number. I would not want Jacky Rowland to be dodging kassam missiles and mortar shells, but Al Jazeera shows their innate and unequivocal bias by consistently failing to report Palestinian war crimes (and yes, firing rockets and mortars at Israeli civilians are war crimes, as confirmed by both Amnesty Intl and HRW).

the protesters are already dispersed in the barren at intervals of of about 10 meters. so, the method is indeed a cowardly dispersion. Well, those aren't Israeli tear gas or bullets, those are US made sold or gifted to Israel as self-defense aid!

for hyping this story. Nobody is FIRING tear gas. Even Jacky Rowland, as biased a reporter as you'll find anywhere 2 times says in the video that they are "throwing "the tear gas cannisters. And after it lands next to her she's able to carry on--- cannot be a very intense type of tear gas. Watch her also on aljazeera's website without a helmet-- obviously what you see on youtube with the helmet is a carefully selected edit job.
