31. why is beirut international airport still standing?
chaim ,   brooklyn ny   (09.11.09)
hey,Bibi and Barak, why haven't you answered this naked agression by lebanon ?,any other normal country that would have been attacked like this, would have turned Beirut airport , and the government buildings in beirut into rubble, this is the only way this nonsense will stop. as long as Israel will be led by leftist self hating cowards [and that includes Bibi] the rockets will continue to fall on israel
32. #17:Absolutely! ACT OF WAR BY LEBANON!!!!!!!
ACT OF WAR   (09.11.09)
33. katyusha attack
Rita Hillel ,   Jerusalem   (09.11.09)
Time coincides with attack on Twin Towers - a coincidence?
34. To the fool from Turkey
Yaron ,   USA   (09.11.09)
Attila, your posts make about as much sense as what we see coming out of Turkey these days. You would be best served by keeping your thoughts to yourself rather than post here and demonstrate your ignorance to the whole world. After all it was the Turks who have the blood of our forefathers on their hands so absent all the politeness.....keep your dirtly little mouth closed.
35. happy new year Israel.
James McKinlay ,   Israel   (09.11.09)

37. NOUR - THEY FIRED FIRST - NO EXCUSES NEEDED
Andrew ,   Miami,FL   (09.11.09)
38. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   New York City, USA   (09.11.09)
Of course YOU realize that firing missiles into a sovereign country (as Hizbollah did this morning) constitutes a clear act of war. Or to your weak little mind, is it okay because the rockets were fired into Israel?
39. Rockets hit Nahariya
Robert Cabitt ,   Boston, MA, USA   (09.11.09)
The rockets will continue to rain on Israel until they elect a prime minister who has the will and the courage to drive the Palestinians and Hamas out of Gaza and the West Bank. When George Bush gives back his Crawford,Texas ranch to the Native Americans is when peace will come to Israel. To the victor goes the spoils. Americans killed thousands of Indians during the conquest of the United States. The Indians that survived were placed in concentration camps euphemistically described as reservations where alcoholism and unemployment reigns. Since the Bureau of Indians Affairs has granted gambling casino licenses, some Indian tribes have prospered. Maybe gambling casinos are the solution for the Palestinians.
40. I am sick and tired of Jews fighting Muslims
Maronite ,   Canada   (09.11.09)
If I am a Palestinian refugee living in Lebanon then I will rejoice when these tensions occur because I do not want to rot in the refugee camps, I want the world to know that I want to go home, Palestine -AKA Israel. If I am a Hezbollah supporter then I will be wondering where on earth is the Israeli anti missile defense system. If I am a Lebanese Sunni or Druze I will lay down my prayer mat to pray to Allah for Israel to wipe out Hezbollah. As a Lebanese Christian I am sick and tired of Jews fighting Muslims. Jews and Muslims are Middle Eastern people who will be better off if they convert to Christianity and practice Love instead of an-eye-for-an-eye and endless bloodshed.
41. THIS WASNT HEZBOLLAH but THE PALESTINIANS
Aline ,   Beirut,Lebanon   (09.11.09)
im a march 14 supporter so I am not defending the HA policies or as a group but before war mongering israelis here like chaim who endorsing on destroying my country AGAIN get excited. this is very unlikely hezbollah since they are too busy fighting with the goverment reformation but most likely the Palestinians who are 500,000 ARMED and control their camps they have cells of AL-QAEDA training in them with saudi, syrian and other arab money. remember It is not our fault we have these people in our land before u give this act of war garbage and by law (SADLY) we are not allowed to control them
42. Falling rockets...
Saad ,   Beirut, Lebanon   (09.11.09)
This is definitely not Hezbollah but a radical act of a 3rd unknown party! So we're even now 3 rockets for 15 rockets :p
43. Lebanon has retaliation rights due to Israel non-stop AREAL
Paco ,   Canada   (09.11.09)
incursions!!! Lebanon/Hezbollah have the right to defend our areal region - until Israel stops entering our areal space with its planes which has been going on since 2006 after the war stopped bcse Israel begged to stop it. Lebanon/Hezbollah can shoot anytime and anywhere when they want into Israel.
44. to SARAH
Paco ,   Canada   (09.11.09)
look sweety.. u were there? u really saw hezbollah fire those missiles with ur own lame eye? or u have some kind of knack given by ur god almighty to predict events? just go and burry urself under 6ft of concrete so that we dont have to hear ur nonsense.
45. To # 41 in Beirut, Sorry,too late
Ivri ,   IL   (09.11.09)
For your lame excuses It doesnt matter anymore, all the thugs in Lebanon ARE part of the government,so...we will destroy your country again and again at the sign of ANY agression coming from your land. Get used to it OR......DO something about cleansing your country from the Thugs...( or face us cleaning it up for you which will get ugly for all lebanese.) Kapiche?
46. Sanctions and boycot Israel now!
(09.11.09)
47. Hello everyone, with reference to someone's earlier...
Nour ,   Palestine   (09.11.09)
pointing out of "Israeli sovereignty" - I think this is an oxymoron. "States" formed on apartheid, criminal behavior and the total dispossession of an entire people cannot call themselves "sovereign" but are actually accountable to the endless UN resolutions defied. From your twisted logic, it's OK to terrorize 700,000 people and forcing them to flee their homeland. But launching a couple of rockets onto the other side's farms is an unforgivable crime? Go on, lie to yourselves. There won't be peace before ALL civilians are accorded their full human rights - including right of return, regardless of ethnicity of religion. Oh wait, you guys prefer the comfort zone of the Jewish-only fortficiation founded on 700 Arab villages and towns.
48. #41 Aline
Eyal ,   Highland Beach, USA   (09.11.09)
It is sad that your government can't control them, but you can't bake the cake and eat it too? Harriri was very outspoken when he said Hezbollah should join his government, no? The bottom line is, Lebanon is a sovereign country and if you can't control your country, who will? I guess Israel. Israel doesn't want to start a war with Lebanon, but come on? Israel under the current PM will start a war if you can't control your own thugs. It is your fault and no one elses.
49. Nour, you are so dumb it's not....
Eyal ,   Highland Beach   (09.11.09)
funny anymore. YES, 2 rockets fired at Israel first will result to your whole country to flee their home period. How dumb are you exactly? Why fire at all? Better yet, why can't you control your own people in a sovereign country called Lebanon or should I say Hezbollah, Palestine? You are just looking for excuses to blame Israel you dumb stupid Arab.
50. Paco and Nour
Yaron ,   USA   (09.11.09)
You two are drinking from the same polluted well. Nour you are nothing but a defeated and bitter adversary who is lucky the Israelis are not as you write, as you would be 6 feet under already. As for Paco, comparing flyovers due to continuous violations of the ceasefire are not in the slightest way comparable. Your ignorance is astounding. The air in Canada must be getting cold as it is inhibiting your ability to think clearly. Sarah has more brains in her pinky then you and Nour combined.....but you knew that already.
51. @45 You and the Palestinians both deserve each other
Aline ,   Beirut,Lebanon   (09.11.09)
Where is the proof its HA? you think they are the only armed group here? or the most dangerous? Most lebanese are against HA but we will never support israeli agression either. The goverment hasnt been formed yet and Hariri has resigned. Who we have in our goverment is not of your say but ours. You are Not Lebanese,Lebanon is not your country nor is it the palestinians. destroy destroy that all you people think and do. HA thinks the same. this is why we cant have peace with you yet people because you people dont want peace ONLY war. You want only to tell others how they should live and think everything in this world belongs to you. god forgive people like you. you and the palestinians both deserve each other. PALESTINIANS ARE NOT LEBANESE CITIZENS not our responsiblity but UNRWA and the UN. NOR ARE they part of our goverment. what lies we only have them here because no one else wants them. No lame excuse we have the Palestinians in our land and their terrorist camps thanks to your country never forget that before you dare open your mouths thinking you can tell us to how to rule our country. We dont care what you people want we will never nationalize them.
52. #43 Absolutely right, Lebanon's airspace is continously ...
Nour ,   Palestine   (09.11.09)
...violated by Israel since 2006 and even before the 2006 war. This is a daily breach of Lebanon's sovereignty. So all the suckers here who claim the Lebanese "is starting it" - go back to school and get an education on the laws of ceasefires and nations' sovereignty! Overfly sister Lebanon at your own peril.
53. To Aline in Beirut
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.11.09)
Is the entire Arab world on drugs? You fired rockets into Israel and you accuse us of aggression? What is your act - an act of love? Listen baby, I don't give a shit who in your fucking Nazi Lebanese state fired the rockets, we don't want one single fucking rocket into our country. Not having control over your fucking country is no excuse to attack us. If you don't want us to attack Lebanon, then stop the fucking rockets.
54. @Eyal So you think you fix Lebanon?
Aline ,   Beirut,Lebanon   (09.11.09)
You see the problem is you react to quickly and too irrationally. Majority of us want hezbollah to disarm. We dont want the palestinians in Lebanon. many policies of Hariri and his allies i dont agree with but Im 100% anti-Syrian so i chose the march 14 camp I want my country to successful, rich and free of syrians, saudis, iranians and palestinians and israeli hegemony but most importantly in PEACE. Im actually pro-peace Im not a supporter of the Palestinian cause nor do I care if they go back to wer they come from only that they go. I agree this is a problem the goverment should address,Thats what many Lebanese (if not most want). Now i dont know what the majority of israeli population want from Lebanon war or peace? never can tell if you want peace than you make a bad job of showing so. however when i see comments from israelis such as Ivri, chaim and the rest I know that peace is far off and that YOU have only yourselves to blame for that. ur too arrogant for you own good.
55. #3 - Every Israeli action is a reaction to Arab actions
William ,   Israel   (09.11.09)
Israel never made the first move but did react to Arab aggression - be it directly by the State or while hiding cowardly behind "rogue terrorists". For 90 years, Arabs have acted out their racist agenda and refuse to live in peace with anyone they can't control. Gaza War came from Hamas' rockets, Lebanon War came because of Hizbullah's folly. The Wall and checkpoints came because of Pal terrorist attacks, and the blockade on Gaza came because of a self-described Islamist terrorist groups declared they want nothing less than the death of Israel and all Jewish citizens. Take a lesson from Egypt and Jordan. Act peacefully and honestly, and you'll be re-paid in kind....be bastard racist terrorists, and you'll be re-paid in kind. Or haven't you Arabs figured that equation out yet - which is ironic because you claim you brought math and science to Europe - haha.
56. #26 - I think the major lies came from Nasrallah
William ,   Israel   (09.11.09)
Lebanon War was an Israeli victory, albeit not a complete one. Hizbullah can't be defeated as long as they hide among civilians and racist Arab supremacy drives their membership levels. Hizbullah IS in the govt now, it's just a matter of how many seats they get and the veto power they want. Why ask Israel about this - go to Al-Manar and hear they say it themselves. Lebanese papers constantly carry articles critical of Hizbullah in the govt with doomsayers predicting a Gaza-like entity is Iran continues to strangle the country. Nasrallah still insists they won the Lebanon War - despite losing hundreds of fighters, having thousands of UN troops on their soil, having Lebanese citizens pissed off at them for bringing a needless war, and troubles recruiting more soldiers. Certainly if it was a lose for Israel - wouldn't Arabs try it again very soon afterwards?
57. #47: (sigh) Nothing Nour Under the Sun
A. Plomb   (09.11.09)
Nour said: "Oh wait, you guys prefer the comfort zone of the Jewish-only fortficiation founded on 700 Arab villages and towns." It's not "Jewish-only", liar. Arabs comprise 20% of Israel. Non-Jews are allowed to visit if they come in peace. How many Jews are allowed to set foot in Saudi Arabia? Zero. How many Jews were welcome to stay in Gaza before they were removed by force? Zero. As for being "founded on Arab villages and towns", it was the invasion of genocidal Arab armies in 1948 which created the conditions for displacement. No invasion, no displacement. But who are you as an Arab to point fingers when it comes to territorial conquest? How did Arabs come to live across a vast region stretching from Morocco to Iraq? By spilling huge amounts of blood, subjugating multitudes, destroying earlier civilizations, and stealing land and property. But since it was all done in the name of Allah, that makes it OK, right?
58. #51 Aline
Nour ,   Palestine   (09.11.09)
Aline, Lebanon is yours, and yours alone. Nobody disputed that, however it is disheartening, and dishonorable to call us terrorists. If someone displaced you from your own beloved country and forced you into exile, would you appreciate someone calling YOU a terrorist? Shwayit zo2 please.
59. #41
Nourt ,   Palestine   (09.11.09)
Aline, you write about us as if we're some kind of curse bedeviling your country. How sad and regretful. Most of my closest friends aore Lebanese and we have nothing but mutual respect and admiration. I never asked for Lebanese citizenship (and cannot speak on behalf of all Palestinians, so of whom whom are 3rd and 4th generation Palestinian refugees in Lebanon) but the least you could offer us is respect. The camps are armed because of a reason which you are very familiar with - no reason to dig up the past. Finally, I am fortunate enough NOT to be living in the camp in Sidon although this is how my ancestors survived, by hard work and good neighbor conduct. Besides this, some of the laws which you referred to are absolutely apalling (citizenship, inheritance, land and business ownership, professional opportunities denied the Palestinians, etc.) all of these factors which are FORCED UPON us denying us the least of human rights. What do you we? We say "thank you" and wish you all the best with your country which apparently goes from one crisis to the other. I wish you would come up with laws and enforce them on your own population first, before contemplating applying them on the Palestinian refugee camps with NOTHING offered in return.
60. #25 - Hizbullah doesn't have to admit it, to be behind it
William ,   Israel   (09.11.09)
Just because Hizbullah didn't admit it, doesn't mean they weren't part of it. You're a chump if you believe terrorist groups would honestly take ownership for something or give accurate information. As they, and many other Arabs cite constantly, the rule of war in Islam is deception, manipulation, and outright lies, in order to thwart the enemy. Arafat was guilty for doing the same thing. Hamas continues to do the same thing - paying PRC to launch attacks then deny them as part of the "cease-fire". But our intelligence is good, and we know much better.
