31. Thank you #7, Hameed from Iran for your
di   (09.27.09)
clear comment and for your sense of truth. I am afraid, Mr Erdogan has long become redundant because he preaches all the time what he is not ready to do. What does one call this ....? Mr.Erdogan is surely leading Turkey backwards instead of forwards. He has no clout of leader by denying rights to his Kurds and by continuing to deny the Holocaust against the Armenians his forefathers commited nearly one hundred years ago. He also sides with Hamas terrorists who wontonly attack Israeli populations for the sake of sheer killing. Then, when these modern-time monsters hide behind their women's skirts and behind their own children, the Israeli answer is seen as "war crimes". Make no mistake, with or without Mr Erdogan's blessing, Israel will always know how to defend her innocent citizens. And this, in spite of Erdogan and his terrorist buddies. I will also do whatever I can not to visit Turkey untill its government start behaving like the representatives of a democratic country, not of Syria, Iran, Hizbolah and hamas !!!
32. Erdogan said today:
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (09.27.09)
"I think the way they treat Iran is really unfair. There are other countries which have nukes and no one cares about it. This is not fair." Hopefully everyone understands whom he meant.

good for you!!!! you are right on. hameed aboughaze, iranian my friends in iran oppose the regime of ahmadinejad. they thought he was an embarrasment to the country at the un.
34. Follow up "Please do not come to Turkey for Vacation"
Turk ,   Ankara   (09.27.09)
My remark “please do not come to Turkey for vacation” was solely on David’s bold comment “no more vacation to Turkey” as if Turkey depends on Israeli tourists. Turkey received almost 28 million tourists in 2008. And what I commented may not be familiar to those who are not Israeli, who don’t watch Hebrew news. Once Government of Israel had to take measure on such phenomena that Israeli tourist had created very bad image by stealing at abroad hotels. Therefore Israeli Government aired TV commercials to give message to those types of Israeli tourists. Sure our doors are open to anybody regardless of their religious orientations off course including Jews. Baruchim habaim

martin ,   satevenage -uk   (09.27.09)
I thought at first turkey wished to examine its crimes against the kurds and the armenians. of course we could also look at the crimes committed against jewish activists in the near east during the ottoman empire's final days before losing control over what today is israel, jordan, syria, lebanon etc
36. Look who is preaching us?
T.I ,   Israel   (09.27.09)
To this day, Turkish penal code (Article 301) criminalizes everyone who insult turkishness: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_301_(Turkish_Penal_Code) As a result of using article 301, many people had been arrested, including Turks, who converted to Christianity, of course, pronouncing the words: "Kurdistan", "Armenian Genocide". Genocide of the Kurdish Language by Turkey: http://www.ekurd.net/mismas/articles/misc2009/7/turkeykurdistan2176.htm Facing Up To The Past - Turkey: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6EwO5w2DzE Nowadays, Turkey has become one of the most Anti-American states around the globe due to Islamization Saudi funded process, culminating by two continuously election landslide victories by The AKP party (the Justice and Development Party). Dr Soner Cagaptay (American Turkish scholar) clearly puts AKP's agenda in the aftermath of Davu's conference: http://www.newsweek.com/id/184779 In short, Erdogan you may be a talented politician but your Islamist agenda, should alarming every sane Israeli not visiting your country. I am always wondering why your country has been foiling formation of Kurdish independent autonomy in northern Iraq?, this not your territory but you want their oil.
37. turkish death wish....
les ,   canada   (09.27.09)
dear mr erdogan. i fully agree with your wish to prosecute REAL WAR CRIMINALS!!! like the ones commited GENECIDE against the 1.5 million amenian people, against hundreds of thousand kurdish people, not to talk about the millions slaughtered in europe over the centuries. and after you turks answer for all those CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY, then you can open your mouth. otherwise; SHUT UP!!!
38. erdogan and gaza
alexi   (09.27.09)
One moment please, the turkish prime minister whose islamic subjects now hail greater than ataturk knows well how to kill. One million armenians. He accuses israel peres of killing gazans on the beaches.Hamas is responsible for this with their bestial culture. Ask the greeks what they think of the turks who buzz their territory and constantly agitate in cyprus. Olmert should end up in jail simply for using turkish offices to give away the golan hoping that syria would behave. Golan should not be returned as it is originally israeli, and taken in response to syrian shelling for 19 years. Its over and they are not getting it ever, just like turkey told syria to shut up about disputed land. So erdogan whose idea of real friends are the shmuta of ahmadinejad, sudan and somalia, love affair with assad of syria and generally the scum of the earth. That's who erdogan wants turkey to associate with.
39. What Is There To Hide?
chet ,   West Coast, Canada   (09.27.09)
Since the IDF has investigated and found that there were no war crimes, what possibly could be the concern?
40. Watch out Turkey; Think Armenia; Kurdistan
Joseph ,   Ft. Lauderdale, USA   (09.27.09)
Remember you dumb fool, when you point a finger you have 3 pointing back. The irony. Turkey wants to talk war crimes and crimes against humanity but continues to deny the murder of million Armenians and the continued oppression of the Kurds. Watch out Turkey ... you may regret your steps in this direction.
41. TALKBACK NUMBER 30.
Arn-Orao. ,   Sweden-Srbia.   (09.27.09)
TOGARMA IS ARMENIA , AND ALL HIS BANDS, EZEKIEL 38 AND VERS 6., ARE THE SLAVS OF CENTRAL EUROPA. TURKEY WILL BE DESTROYED BY THE FORCES COMMING FROM THE EAST OVER EUPRATHES, GOG AND MAGOG TOGHETER WITH IRAN. ACCORDING TO THE KORAN WHO I DO NOT PROMOTE THOUGH, TURKEY WILL FACE TWO WARS FROM NOW AS FAR AS I UNDERSTAND THE KORAN. TURKEY WILL FIRST LOSE ALL LAND TO THE EAST OF EUPHRATES AND MOVE THEIR CAPITAL TO MECKA, AND LATER ON TURKEY WILL BE WHOLLY TAKEN BY THE FORCES FROM THE EAST. Arn-Orao.
42. turkish hospitality
martin ,   stevenage uk   (09.27.09)
I have twice visited turkey and always found its people very friendly and hospitable. This was just before the terrible earthquakes struck the turkish homeland. turkish people appreciated that i am jewish and spoke hebrew. nice to see shops welcoming israelis in hebrew. sadly, your elected prime minister appears to forget ataturk's foundations. perhaps when the next catasrophe hits turkeyt your newly found islamic friends will be expected to help and not israel. i remember turkish moslems naming their children with hebrew names as a mark of respect and gratitude.
43. You are all pathetic
Hakan ,   Copenhagen   (09.27.09)
Nr. 37 wrote: 'against hundreds of thousand kurdish people.' Do you have 1 single proof of that? Tell me everybody, do you really compare what is done by palestinians with jewish holocaust, this will make children laugh! You want some facts? Here are some facts: Total civillians killed by israeli soldiers=926. Total civillians killed by palestinians=3 in Operation Cast Lead. I think you are the ones making a new holocaoust in the 21st century, well history books will read this, you will be remembered by future generations. Put your hands on your hearts and tell me, is this just? 926 civillians killed and thousands of homes destroyed by your so-called soldiers. If you support this, well remember you support the killing of thousands of innocent people including children. Think for yourself i really dont have to say anything reality speaks for itself. And when it comes to Turkey being a hypocrit because of the armenian genocide, well can your cause be justified because turkish soldiers or german soldiers killed civillians, that is completely pathetic. And the issue with kurds, i am myself a kurd from turkey, kurds arent treated different from turks, and there has never been a civilian casualty by turkish soldiers only by pkk terrorists.
44. #43 hakan
les   (09.27.09)
evidently you have your own "reality". of course it is the reality of a jew hater, anti-israeli person with little else but hate in his heart. the nonesense you say 926 to 3 is only in your mind. you did not mention the 8000 rockets fired in to israel in previous years. and those "civilians" if they died, because your "wonderful fighters" were hiding behind them.....europe is REALLY LUCKY to have you there :))
45. Turk from Ankara
Alex ,   NYC   (09.27.09)
liar, liar, liar. Turkish hotels are half-booked as Israelis have stayed away and Russians and other Eastern Europeans (who have often got very drunk, etc) have gone to Egypt and Israel. You have an agenda, just lke your Islamist prime minister - to destroy the traditional good relations between Turks and Jews. Ain't going to work.
46. Hasan from Tatarstan
Alex ,   NYC   (09.27.09)
Hasan, I supposed you were totally against your governments bombardement of civilians in Chechnya, against the disappearance of tens of t housands of civilians there, against the leveling of the city of Grozny ? Ne pravda li ?
47. tayfun - and the Yeniceri should replace the TSK
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.27.09)
I can understand very clearly from your post that you are a supporter of Erdogan and his long defunct Sheria + Ottoman mentality and you are against the modern Turkey created by the great Ataturk. Turkey faces the same terrorist threat as Israel does and they both fight the a similar enemy . The only big difference is that the while the Hamas terrorists hide behind their civilians, use their young boys and girls as young as 10 years old to carry on suicide attacks the PKK terrorists act a little bit braver and hide in isolated mountains. If the PKK start to hide among the civilians and continue with their attacks which BTW recently PKK is only attacking military targets in the east, I have no doubt that the TSK would not hesitate to capture or kill those terrorists even though it would end up with some innocent civilians also killed. In fact in the 1980 ies many military operations did end up with the death of innocent civilian Kurds not mention the thousands of Kurdish villages destroyed in order to disrupt Kurdish life in the east of Turkey.
48. Hacivatoglu - great proverb
Karagoz ,   New York   (09.27.09)
49. Hakan, ask Os,man Baydemir, Ahmet Turk and Leyla Zana
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.27.09)
They will give you many examples of atrocities against Kurds in Turkey. Leyla Zana herself was jailed for many years only for her words expressing her Kurdish identity. thousands of Kurdish villages were destroyed deliberately in the 1080 ies which were documented in Turkish media like Hurriyet, Milliyet, Cumhuriyet etc. I do not support the PKK but facts are facts. Lets not forget that Erdogan to this day refuses to shake hands with Ahmet Turk in a meeting as the head of the Kurdish political party DTP.
50. Turks attacking Israel read this
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.27.09)
The current Islamic administration of Turkey as well as its predecessor MSP, Erbakan etc also should be investigated and punished for the death of 37 Alevi Turks at the Madimak hotel in Sivas in 1993. The Islamists gathered outside the hotel where the Alevi and Bektasis were having a festival in honor of Pir Sultan Abdal, among them the famous satyrist Aziz Nesin. The culprits not only were never punished they have been receiving social security payments while they are hiding in France until 1998. Don't get me started with human right violations and Turkey. Ynet does not give me enough space for it.
51. Armenia & Kurds
Yuri ,   Toronto   (09.27.09)
We should absolutely discuss everywhere and remind those not aware how Turkey committed genocide by eliminating and slaughtering innocent Armenian civilians as well as Kurds.
52. No Hakan-YOU ,Sir, must put your hand on your heart!
Alan SA ,   SA   (09.27.09)
You complain about 926 Gaza Civilians killed. Not so? First-did you prove ALL you say were killed were REALLY "civilians" like you tell us ? Second -Where is your complaint about the THOUSANDS of rockets fired at Israel for MANY years Third -Where is your complaint that Hamas swore how they would make graveyard for Israel troops in Gaza IF Israel tried to stop the rocket fire,So Israel should agree to the assault in silence? Fourth -And where is your complaint of asymetric methods of war by hiding and boobytrapping civilian homes? Situating Hamas General Staff in basement of Gaza Hospital Do U think Israel must wage any defensive cleanup by falling into all traps prepared by your Hamas heroes? After receiving a good demonstration of how rubbish were their fighting tactics,Hamas now begs all World to come and see the Israeli Warcrimes. They were hoping to be able to tell world how they defeated Jews-but now are pleading for sympathy as War Crime Victims. Now they are looking for more problems by keeping Shalit if we dont give up 1000 killers! So put your hand on your heart also please!

55. Next stop: EU membership
Steve from Raleigh   (09.28.09)
Calling for the extermination of Israel is a baseline requirement for being considered a potential entrant into the EU now. Israel should disengage from Turkey, close out all military and technology contracts immediately. There is no point to sharing sensitive military technology with the enemy.
56. Keep focused
Shlomo Kamra   (09.28.09)
This is about the Goldstone Report which is about the massacre in Gaza, called Can't Lead. It has nothing to do with what Turkey has or hasn't done to Kurds, Armenians or Calethumpians. Ergodan rightfully wants the UN Security Council to openly discuss this report, and not just pass it off to the UNHRW. OK?
57. If EU takes in Turkey,WOW will they regret it!
(09.28.09)
58. To # 50
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (09.28.09)
You seem to know a lot about Turkey. Sivas is definitely a black chapter of Turkish history. What a pitty that justice did not find its place until today. Erbakan and Co. even backed this barbaric act and defended the murderers. I am a half Sunni and half Alevi Muslim. I will never forget how my Alevi mother cried when she heard about Sivas. KIndest regards
59. Hakan #58
David Israel ,   New York   (09.28.09)
So did you do anything there in Copenhagen in terms of bringing the case of Madimak hotel in Sivas to the couts in Haague? Don;t you think this intentional, well planned in advance act of barbarism by masses of ultra religious Islamists was one of the worst human rights violations in the history of Turkey? The problem is only when Israel is involved in some atrocities that result in an unfortunate war / self defense situation is that the world gets up complaining and when it is Muslims doing worse in peace situation such as the women's right abuses all around the Islamic world, the killing of the poor people in Darfur by the Islamists Janjawid etc the world stays quiet. Double standard? Iyi aksamlar (Good night)
60. Turkey, Israel, my experience
(09.29.09)
I lived in israel for a few years and participated into many activities involving Israel's cause in many countries. But after reading openly hostile and racist messages against Turks by Israelis&Jews around the world, I'm glad that I've noticed this hidden hypocrisy and hostility in these talkbackers. Perhaps, Israelis and Jews are just following their Arab brothers in backstabbing Turks. To my fellow Turks, we must stay away from this hole called the Middle East, nothing is worthed there, it all ends up in backstabbing and betrayal.
