You are absolutely right David. I myself did nothing during the Madimak incident. Just following news. When it comes to Israel you are also absolutely right. It is double standards. Erdogan embraced the Sudanese dictator in Ankara. He was welcomed. Any accusations? No. Erdogan metioned nothing. I thought he was always protecting the innocent? The reason why he backs Hamas so much is that Hamas is his party in Gaza. So he has to speak up for them, while he has to protect Bashar, who is like him in the same party. Kindest regards ve iyi günler dilerim dostum (I wish you a nice day my friend)

Merhaba. We should not get that involved into the conflicts of the ME. I agree. We should help all our neighbours by promoting peace, which we could not achieve in our own country. You know what I mean? But we could have friends in the ME. The Israelis loved us until Erdogan destroyed our friendship with Israel. The Arabs always hated us. But Erdogan wants to win them as friend. I think this is hardly possible. Take care

I'm afraid your statements sound a bit immature in terms of international relations and politics. There is no love, friendship and hate in international relations. I know Israelis and Arabs probably much better than you know as I lived with them for many years. Hidden racism is the worst of all evils, and I can see this in most talkbackers' messages here against Turks. I don't agree with your implications about peace in Turkey either. There is no war between people or against certain people in Turkey. The fight is against PKK, Hizbullah, DHKPC, Al Qaeda and related terrorist organisations. These organisations' cause is more related to smugling, international mafia, ugly politics of the EU and the USA in occasion. This is not a war between people as you suggested.
64. Talk about hidden and open racism
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.29.09)
I was born and raised in Turkey, educated and served in the military before I migrated to USA in 1980. I know something about Turkey, its history and character. I lived among the well educated and modern Kemalist Turks and had great friendships. However I was also seeing the rest of the Turkish society from very close, at school, market, military service, and several years of working as an engineer. There is some hidden antisemitism even among the Kemalists who once supported the Varlik Vergisi (An unfair just applied to Jews and Armenians in 1941) and an unfair second military draft onloy fo rJews. The Jewish society in Kirklareli was attacked in 1936. There is also a lot of open Antisemitism which is mainly coming from the ultra religious and the ultra nationalists. This is also mixed with racism against all none Muslims. Despite all this the Jewish community of Turkey as well as the Israeli governments since early 1980 ies have been very supportive of Turkey and its causes around the world and especially in the USA. (Until a few years ago when I was younger I was very active in these activities, I know it well.) You say that Turkey is fighting only PKK, HIzbullah, DHKPC etc. But in the process thousands of Kurdish villages were destroyed. Israel also is fighting Hamas, Hezbollah and the terrorists who are preventing peace. It is not easy. In the process there are unfortunate causalities. Both Israel and Turkey are on the same boat in the fight against terrorism. Better for Turkey to wake up and see who the real friends and real enemies are before it looses big time again when she made the wrong choice in WW I in joining Germany. You all remember the results.

Eren Doga ,   Bosnia   (09.29.09)
What is your problem? Report has been prepared by a jewish, by a "zionist" according to his daughter. Report is about crimes of apartheid state and nothing about Turks, Armenians, Kurds or anybody else! At the end you have to admit that indigenous people of Palestine, Palestinian People, are humanbeing like you!

Hakan ,   Copenhagen   (10.04.09)
Only people with very little knowledge will beleive in craps like these, a nice propoganda video by the way. Of course you can try to convince uneducated people by spreading lies like this, there is no proof what so ever that a turkish soldier did this. What is your purpose? First of all the Turkish army consists not only by turks but also of kurds, and secondly pkk has repeadetly done this, killing civillians and pointing at the turkish army, a very inhuman thing to do. Continue to spread lies, you need it. Your life is a big lie itself!
