Tit for tat. Sucks to be you.
2. Sounds like the good doctor got his foot stuck in it.
Elad Lending ,   Yahel, Israel   (10.08.09)
Hope he has to pay a nice stiff fine.
3. if they don't fire him, i would try to go there
uli ,   jerusalem   (10.08.09)
imagine a jewish doctor doing such a thing. he would have be thrown out and the whole world would write about it. jewish doctors treat even the worst hamas terrorist, but this arab doctor has maybe not understood what it means to be a doctor.
4. Fire the doctor!!
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (10.08.09)
5. this "doctor" should have his license taken away
bobby   (10.08.09)
As a medical doctor, I can tell you that this behavior is totally unacceptable and there must be a zero tolerance policy against it. Israeli doctors regularly treat terrorists immediately following their own attack and the IDF will treat a wounded enemy if he/she needs the attention more than their own injured soldier.
6. Exaggerations
Yankev ,   Columbus OH USA   (10.08.09)
I don't agree with everything that R. Kahane H"yd said or did, but it is a gross exaggeration to say that he "called for the expulsion of Arabs from Israel and the Palestinian territories." He did call for making their righ to stay in Israel conditional on their recognizing the Jewish state as a Jewish state. You can agree or disagree with that position, but it is not the same as calling for the expulsion of all Arabs.
7. A Painful Dilemma ???
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem - ISRAEL   (10.08.09)
You don't bite the hand that feeds you . Otherwise let the Palestinian Authority employ him in a West Bank hospital ... !
8. Hypocritical Oath, and Bad Bedside Manner, should be dismissed

SHOULDN'T H AVE GONE TO AN ARAB DOCTOR IN THE FIRST PLACE!
10. Let him treat patients in Gaza
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (10.08.09)
Some joke. If any Jewish doctor said something along those lines we would be hearing about from the entire world. Yet when an Arab says it the silence is deafening
11. Maybe It Is Time For a Jewish Intifada
emanon ,   usa   (10.08.09)
My Hebrew is very elementary, so I do not know the correct word for Uprising or Rebellion would be. You know if this situation were reversed the terrorstinians would be fanning the flames in a heartbeat! Just think too, of all the arabs the Jewish doctors treat and help. What a payback from one arab!
12. at least he's honest
tom ,   Canada   (10.08.09)
congratulations to the doctor for being honest, at least. the simple fact is that arabs DO NOT share liberal western values. and they do allow vengeance and tribal loyalties to supercede less important things like equality or the hippocratic oath. the hospital may decide to fire him, not because they are racist, but because he is, and his attitudes might put some patients' lives at risk as a result. it may not be pretty, but it's the truth of the middle east.
13. Had a Jewish doctor said that about a "Muhammed"
Arie ,   BaGolan   (10.08.09)
The UNHRC would be screaming bloddy murder. REVOKE HIS LICENSE TO PRACTICE!
14. Another example of Arab apartheid!
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (10.08.09)
15. doctor at afula hospital
meyer shwartz ,   ashdod israel   (10.08.09)
i hope that the hospital will have a very frank talk with this doctor and on the subject of sweeden we should stop buying the volvo and start buying american cars america is our friend sweeden IS NOT....MIKE ASHDOD ISRAEL
16. Marlene
Lili ,   Krayot   (10.08.09)
Silly woman. They didn't go to an Arab doctor. They went to the ER of Afula hospital where Jewish and Arab doctors and nurses work. It's like that everywhere in Israel. And all the Arab doctors I encountered were professional and nice. The one in question is despicable, though, and should be dismissed from his job.
17. Kahane
Yehudi ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.08.09)
Rabbi Meir Kahane was a great man. He was not a racist in any way shape or form. He merely had a solution to the Israeli/Arab problem which was to transfer the Palestinians to Jordan. This solution was based on the well known fact that Jordan is a Palestinian state. There is nothing racist about such an idea, it is merely pragmatic.
18. Don't dismiss him
(10.08.09)
After he pays back any subsidy he received from Jews to study medicine, he should go live and work in Jenin. He won't encounter any Jews there and everyone will be happy.
19. people, relax
Israeli   (10.08.09)
he said something inapropriate. he didn't kill anyone or threaten anyone. it is made worse by his position of power but it is not the end of the world.
20. Transfer him to gaza where he can treat ONLY muhammads.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (10.08.09)
21. FIRE HIM!
Avraham ,   nyc   (10.08.09)
22. Seeking balance
Marty ,   USA   (10.08.09)
Is it really so hard for usJews to understand why an Israeli Arab might have a "problem" with the name of Kahane considering that Rabbi Kahane preached (in English) the forcible expulsion of all of this doctor's people from the country (and, in Hebrew, offered even more extreme alternatives). At least this Israeli Arab is working in a Jewish hospital, treating Jewish patients, and not throwing rocks and bottles from Temple Mount or wearing a suicide belt and murdering people. I wouldn't be looking to fire an African-American doctor who had a "problem" with a patient named "George Wallace." Peace will only come when both sides understand how it feels to wlak in the other's shoes and that appears to be a long way off for both sides..
23. Throw this piece of human garbage out of the country
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (10.08.09)
24. Well there goes his promotion
Ilan ,   Ariel   (10.08.09)
Seems that all is as it should be. He was given the opportunity to be in a position of power; a Jewish state should promote minorities. Now he has put his future into question by taking an unprofessional attitude and that opportunity will probably be given to someone else. The system is working.
25. Kahane
Sharona ,   Jerusalem Israel   (10.08.09)
Too bad the party was outlawed. I would vote Kahane in a heartbeat. Time to outlaw Balad and not treat anyone named Tibi!
26. Jewish israeli Doctors are only Smarter
observer   (10.08.09)
when it comes to treating haredim, for example, they mask their second-class treatment and third-class bedside manner behind claims of professionalism.
27. this is one thing we should learn from our enemies
chaim ,   brooklyn ny   (10.08.09)
but of course we won't,because leftist jews have absolutely no self respect, and a insane jewish doctor will even treat a murderous terrorist who has just blew up and killed his own family
28. The Doctor must have taken the Hypocritic Oath
Jake   (10.08.09)
29. Then you're not really a doctor, are you?
William ,   Israel   (10.08.09)
Atleast in Western nations, when a doctor graduates from medical school they take an oath to treat anyone no matter their background, and to aid humanity. Apparently, the Arab physician oath is the same but with some caveats (no Jews, no Christians, people I don't particularly like, and only certain Arab factions). With such restrictions on providing care, no wonder why Arab physicians, like Rantisi and Al-Qaeda's #2,Al-Zawahiri, left medical practice for terrorism. It's basically the same thing with a different focus of efforts.
30. Arab patients are only Smarter
better observer   (10.08.09)
they come to Israel from all over the Arab world to be treated at the local hospitals because they know that they will get the best medical care at a reasonable cost and Jewish doctors keep their political opinions to themselves Arab patients will refuse to be treated in Israel by another Arab doctor regardless of his or her political affiliation, because they do not trust anything Arab with their lives
