1. Good to know but it won't happen without a good reason
(11.03.09)
2. So?
Sarah B ,   New York / Saviyon   (11.03.09)
Are we going to wait for them to prove it, or should we just deal with that terrorist rabble in a permanent fashion now, to hell with what the rest of the world thinks? The rest of the world, after all, does not live in Tel Aviv. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
3. Note, the Palestinian Authority sees Gaza as its territory
Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.03.09)
too, now and in the future, on which it hopes to establish an independent state. At the same time it keeps claiming that it, unlike Israel, has met all requirements of the Roadmap to Peace. The very first of the requirements is the total end of violence and terror aimed at Israel and Israelis and the preparations for such acts. Question: when has violence and terror against Israel and Israelis and the preparations for such violence ceased...??
4. ...and one more thing: assume Hamas takes over the West Bank
Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.03.09)
in the same violent way it took over control of the Gaza Strip, after Israel leaves the West Bank... I'd rather not think of what may happen, neither to the people of central Israel and to our national home of Israel as a whole...!!
5. I hope they do
Mike Van Harris ,   Antwerp Belgium   (11.03.09)
give them there rights that you stole from them and there will not be any rockets any more.
6. More Important, is the rocket that hamas has to
RJBH ,   Methil   (11.03.09)
Target Dimona...This is most likely only to be fired in retaliation for Israeli/US air strikes on Iran... it may well prevent Israel attacking Iran.. a for of MAD,, anyway.. Its good news and Israel will just have to live with it.
7. #5 - I too hope they do
(11.03.09)
If they fire rockets on pampered TA residents, the leftists will open their eyes and start bombing out peace partners like we should have done years ago. Good fences make good neighbours. Good bombing campaign will bring lasting peace.
8. they might kill their muslim brothers in
ghostq   (11.03.09)
Jaffa and other areas, they did killed bedouin who was at work, irony I like to belive so, Israel will have to protect arabs from other arabs, oh very posible indeed.

Their rights? What are you babbling about? Israel withdrew from Gaza several years ago. They are self-governing now, haven't you heard? Of course, there isn't very much "governing" being done by Hamas, but what else can anyone expect from terrorist scum? Your knowledge of current events is rather poor. You need some catch-up time in a classroom. That would be a school -- ever been to one?

Dream on. Dimona is merely the reactor, and it is probably the best-hardened reactor in the world. I assure you that any nuclear weapons Israel may or may not have developed (!) are stored elsewhere and ready to fly. "Israel will just have to live with it." That's one way to look at it, I suppose. The converse, however, is the more likely scenario -- Hamas will just have to die with (or for) it. I think you should go back to playing with your toy soldiers. Think of all the fun you can have re-enacting the Battle of Flodden. You have absolutely no concept of actual military strategies. Best stay away from pontificating on the subject -- unless, of course, you really enjoy making a fool of yourself in a public forum such as Ynet. Come to think of it, I suppose you must -- you do it all the time.
13. Cast Lead ened too early
Lioness ,   Israel   (11.03.09)
We should have finished the job properly in the first place. We should have bombed and keep bombing all the tunnels. This long range rocket is from Iran smuggled through the tunnels. Those who were responsible for finishing the war too early should resign!
14. IDF: Hamas has rocket that could reach Tel Aviv
(11.03.09)
In the coming war, it will be necessary for Israel to be far heavier-handed in its defense than in the last war!
15. To nr 11 my friend Sarah
Mike Van Harris ,   Antwerp Belgium   (11.03.09)
YOU MUST GIVE BACK EVERY THING YOU TOOK FROM THE PALESTENIANS . he he he not only Gazza . Please lets be honest to each other.
16. New rocket guiding system Syria is developing adds to this
Bloodyscot   (11.03.09)
Syria with some Russian help is testing a new semi-GPS rocket system, is uses Russian satelites to guide it to within afew meters from as far as 1000km away. The US controls the GPS system so it is of limited use. They are also working on a new anti-radar coating or paint, that seems close that what a group in Japan is working on.
17. amazing how easily
Ilana   (11.03.09)
people wish death upon civilians, that is children, elderly, animals and adults of course. How sick! If we were anything like "them" we would have just wiped out the "problem" in a few days-totally. The world should realize that all those who could care less about certain human lives no matter the age or how many get killed or injured are those very same who belong to HRW. The fact that we do not wish death on "their" children shows the HUGE difference between us.

We took nothing from the Palestinians. We did purchase land from the Ottoman Turks, whose land it was to sell. The fact of the matter is, it was dreary, desolate, parched in the south and swampland in the north that was purchased. The Jews lovingly restored it. It was barely inhabited, and it barely habitable. Now that the desert has been made to bloom and the swamps have been drained, a handful of Arabs with made-up claims and a made-up existence decide it has been theirs for "centuries." Not so. Not so. It belongs to the Jews. The so-called "Palestinians" will just have to make do with Jordan to the east and Egypt to the west. We'll have to take back Gaza, you see. It is not the Jews and Israel that doesn't want peace. It's the so-called "Palestinians." Cannot blame Israel for defeating the Arabs in six wars it did not start and for besting that terrorist rabble over sixty-one years. High time they gave up; they might actually amount to something rather than the fractious and violent rabble they are today. Still, whatever. Israel's here to stay. The diverse group of Arabs that call themselves "Palestinians" need to understand this.
20. SURPRISE SURPRISE
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (11.03.09)
How many times have these so-called peaceniks and ostriches been warned, while they sip their coffee lattes not giving a hoot about anyone else. While Sedrot has been bombed for more then 8 years, our Liberals in Tel Aviv have been partying, thinking that this has been happening a world away. Now we will see how they are going to react when the rockets are starting to fall on their heads. All the caving in, retreating, concessions and other useless gestures by our superior moral crowd has created a monster, that will not rest nor abide under any circumstances . But even this warning will not wake up many, while they continue on their self destructive road. The brain washing goes back at least 60 years so it will take some real tragedies to arouse them out of their mental stupor. To say we told you so, is now of no more importance.
21. Haganah & Irgun .. bought land? Yafa, Haifa, Jerusalem

were barely inhabited?
22. Oops! So much for Cast Lead! HAH!
Noor ,   Palestine   (11.03.09)
23. to #22 don't be so happy Hamas
ghostq   (11.03.09)
and Fatah did have their peace talk finelized, only a matter of time untill the same emo will be used against west bankers.
24. Sarah, point the "stupid" finger at yourself.
Noor ,   Palestine   (11.03.09)
"Israel withdrew from Gaza several years ago. They are self-governing now, haven't you heard?" What a silly person you are. Israel NEVER disengaged from Gaza whatsoever. Yes, it did withdraw its troops and the settlements, but Israel was still occupying Gaza in the sense that it was controlling its coastal waterways, its airspace, the borders, and Gaza's water and energy usage within the coastal sliver. That's not leaving Gaza. Maybe your father told you otherwise. "Of course, there isn't very much "governing" being done by Hamas, but what else can anyone expect from terrorist scum? " You're absolutely right about that. How can your nation do much governing when its constantly being starved and occupied by the oppressive enemy? No nation can possibly succeed to the highest limit when its civilians are being targeted all the time, when they are starved, malnutrutioned, thirsty. There should be no surprise to that. But, Gaza is much better under Hamas than Fatah, as the people of Gaza have already conceded to that.
25. Eitan
Noor ,   Palestine   (11.03.09)
"At the same time it keeps claiming that it, unlike Israel, has met all requirements of the Roadmap to Peace. " Hey, Ive got a question for you. You know Abbas, your ally? He's currently governing the West Bank. How many rockets have been launched? Has he recognized two states? Has he called an end to all violence? Answer Key: 1. ZERO 2. YES 3. YES We will drop our arms when you stop occupying our lands, oppressing our people, stop using us as human shields in your operations, learn to treat us as human beings, give us the rights that every civilian should possess, and please, quit your terror against us. Then you will get peace. No justice=no peace. Get it straight. "The very first of the requirements is the total end of violence and terror aimed at Israel and Israelis and the preparations for such acts." Your wrong. The 2003 peace plan calls for a Palestinian state. Then, the Palestinians will have to stop their violence. Dont misrepresent history. "Question: when has violence and terror against Israel and Israelis and the preparations for such violence ceased...?? " Well, it ceased in the West Bank, about 5 years ago when Abbas took over. No rockets launched. No suicide bombers in two years. He did something that was not demanded of him by intl law. He recognized Israel. He also accepts the two state solution. We are just waiting on you.
26. Just as I predicted.
Noor ,   Palestine   (11.03.09)
I predicted that the IDF would admit to this sooner or later, and it did! It's only a matter of time.
27. #23
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.03.09)
Noor, it is good that you finally agree with Orange. Orange warned that the ethnic cleansing of Jews would bring attacks on all of Israel. The extreme-Left including self-declared military genius Barak said that once Gaza is clean of Jews, Israel would be allowed to defend herself. Now we see that Orange was all right and the Left was all wrong. The only conclusion is that to survive, we must build in all of Israel.
28. and the last gaza war was a success, what a sick joke
chaim ,   brooklyn ny   (11.03.09)
i wonder if g-d forbid the rockets will reach Tel Aviv, and destroy your YNET offices, will you still insist on calling them militants or will you finally call them by their right name, murderous terrorist swines
29. correct prediction
smith ,   Haifa   (11.03.09)
As Ariel Sharon wisely predicted "The fate of Netzarim will be the fate of Tel Aviv"
30. It's Not A Problem
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville USA   (11.03.09)
One Hamas rocket launched at Tel Aviv will be the last. It would be difficult to launch a further attack when the cesspool called Gaza is turned into a rubble-filled parking lot.
