31. If Gideon Eshet really thinks
(11.23.09)
the Palestinians have given up the "dream" of greater Palestine, he obviously has no idea of what the Middle East is or what the Arabs say to each other.
32. Nour, bubaleh, what are you taking?
(11.23.09)
One secular state? Where? In your dreams? One state, half fundamentalist Jewish and half fundamentalist Islamic is what we would end up with. Peace, in case this is beyond your living memory, is what Israel has been asking for since the day it was founded. What we got was war, all sorts of warfare, actually, terrorists attacks and Holocaust denial. Right after the Six Day War Moshe Dayan offered to give it all back for peace. The Arabs didn't even answer him. Grow up, mameleh.
33. #20 - They let this guy comment
Randy   (11.23.09)
The logical fallacy is that despite the terms of use YNet has, they still allow him to publish his nonsense.
34. to #22 wrong muslims send jews
ghostq   (11.23.09)

35. @Danny
Sam ,   ME   (11.23.09)
You are talking about human beings not cattle???!!! how much hatred do you have in you??? The most amazing things i that Israelis hate Palestinians more than they Germans (On the contrary they look up to Germans) which is something I have never understood. I am not asking you to hate Germans but what did the Palestinains do to desrve all that hate???!!??
36. To Paqid at #30
Mohammad ,   Jordan   (11.23.09)
First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Personally, i believe that all human beings should live in one world without borders separating them which is one of the alternatives that has not been mentioned by the author. I admit that i could not detect this logical fallacy as you did, so thank you for teaching me something new! What i like about your talkbacks is that they always make me think. They also remind me that i have a very limited knowledge. I cant help but wonder how someone like you became an Orthodox Jew (by choice!)? I mean you just mentioned that there are always other alternatives out there and we should look outside the box. Considering that there are thousands of religions/philosophies in our world and that our life span is too short for us to study all of them in depth, so how can you be so certian that you chose the right bath?! Please note that i am not trying to be nosey and I am sorry if my question may sound a little bit intrusive, but i respect you and hope will find an answer to my question.
37. #35 I'll tell you why...
Nour ,   Palestine   (11.23.09)
'cause they can't stand us natives. We remind them of the illegitimacy of most types of Zionism. 95% of today's Israelis were immigrants who came to Palestine looking for greener pastures or after the holocaust or whatever...whereas Palestinians here are natives. So they hate us. But the good news, the more they try to sweep us under the rug, "vanquish" us as Sarah from New York loves to brag about, the more they fail, and hate us more.
38. Arabs return to Mecca where they come from
Richard ,   LA   (11.23.09)
What is the problem? All Muslims I met say they want to live in Saudi Arabia. They are temporary, to make cash, in US.
39. Jordan
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.23.09)
Jordan already is the de facto Palestinian state. More than 75% of its population is Palestinian. Jordan's claim to be a sovereign "Hashemite" state (whatever that is) is ludicrous anyway -- we all know why and how the Kingdom came into being. Instead of forcing Israel to choose between a rock and a hard place -- the Palestinians do not want peace, and we do not want to lose our identity as a Jewish state -- why not simply require Jordan to acknowledge the inevitable and take in the Palestinians, who have held Jordanian citizenship since 1950, anyway? Israel will NOT go back to 1967 borders. On the other hand, why shouldn't Jordan pay the price for having lost in 1948 and in 1967?
40. #36 Mohammad
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (11.23.09)
Yes, it would be nice if we could dispense with borders. I grew up in the U.S. where state borders are very unobtrusive and movement in, out and among states is unconstrained. In Europe I played in a rock band (keyboard) and found that movement among countries was hardly constrained there either. (Of course, that was back in the '60s when things were quite different than today.) If all of Israel's neighbors in the Middle East neighborhood (viz., Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, etc.) were peaceful, we might one day enjoy such freedom of movement, commerce and prosperity for all. It's something to work toward. I welcome your question about my journey from gentile Baptist preacher to Orthodox Jew. It's a good question, not at all intrusive. My reasoning was based on logic that, first of all exposed numerous impossible and intractable contradictions in the Christianity I was raided in and then gets into the physical universe, its existence ex nihilo, physics, the orderliness of physical laws governing the universe, etc. So, as you might imagine that's way too lengthy and off-topic for this ynet forum. Also, I find that a significant number of my messages are never posted in ynet. Too unreliable for good correspondence. However, I'll be happy to welcome and correspond with you on this, and any other, topic in our Netzarim Web Café forum in our website below. From the main page, just click on the Web Café in the navigation panel at the left. You'll find a "Khavruta Blogback" icon near the top that you can use to submit messages. 41. Jordan is Arab Palestine, just open it up
David ,   Boston, USA   (11.23.09)
Its really simple. Finish the peace fence. Demand Egypt and Jordan Palestine open their borders and close the border with the Arabs in Judea and Samaria east ofthe Peace Fence and with Gaza. IF the Arabs there act in peace, return the favor, for the other side of the fence. If they act in war, tell them to leave and go back to Cairo and Amman because the land is going to become ash.
42. #22, Haider, incorrect
David ,   Boston, USA   (11.23.09)
The reason why Israel is supported so much now is precisely because it can take care of herself against all odds. It is the PA and the Arabs who would have crumbled if not for these artificial camps the UN keeps them in and a PA the world keeps saying to stay together. The Arab Palestinian cause was created in the 60s purely to remove Israel from existence. There is no other cohesion of these specific arabs and you can see if through the decades. There are already 2 states, Israel and Jordan Palestine. The land of Palestine was divided with 1 to 3 Arab states being created depending on Syria and Lebanon. they were part of the partition from the historical maps. Why do you refuse to admit the Arabs in Judea and Samaria shouldnt be part of Jordan Palestine? They are the same people, part of the same land. The Hashemites were put in to rule over these so called Palestinian who make up 65-75% of the population. Stop twisting history and forgetting the facts. There never was a Palestine West of the Jordan (except Mandate Palestine for 25 years) and never will be again.
43. Eshet is an idiot
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.23.09)
'The moment the PA will be dismantled, the entire territory will come under direct Israeli control, as was the case on the eve of the Oslo Accords.' What a load of garbage. If we refuse to govern them they do not come under our control. Somehow idiots like Eshet seem to think that we have to play by Arab rules. Just leave them alone and see how long they manage.
44. A correction for Nour on where Jews come from
JPS ,   Efrat   (11.23.09)
Nour, Jews come from Israel. Over the past 3000 years we've been invaded several times and our people hauled off to slavery in Babylon, Greece and Rome. The last time was 2000 years ago and we are very clearly the refugees returning to our homeland. The truth is hard to swallow, but Jews are indeed legitimate residents of Israel. A lot of us think that history and reality are unavoidable, and there is a significant non-Jewish population here too that was never called "Palestinian" until 1948. Before 1948 when you read about "Palestinians" in the world newspapers, it was usually about the Jews, not the Arabs. So let's go for the 2-state solution and no, the refugees are not going back to Jaffa and Haifa - they can go to Ramallah or Gaza. It's time for the Palestinians to stop lying and admit that Jews do indeed come from "Palestine" and that the wall in Jerusalem is indeed the remnant of our holy Temple that was destroyed 2 millenia ago, centuries before Islam existed.
45. 36 - mohammed: a few rules
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (11.23.09)
first you just accept the pakeed's description of the world history. and do not question it. second, you must accept HIS definitions of words and terms (and you MUST pronounce them correctly. well, at least as he has decided it needs to be pronounced). third, you must accept his 'logic', a hermetic paradigm selected by him. fourth, you'll have to swallow his dodgy cherry-picked scholarship (which, by the way, has NEVER been taken seriously by any credible scholar anywhere at any time). then, you're almost there - a full fledged pakeed disciple. by the way, NO ONE in judaism accepts his version of religion. we've been trying to get him to get a reputable rabbi to say HIS TEACHINGS are legit and he only threatens lawsuits just for asking. he just won't/can't do it. you gotta take his word for it ALL 'cause you'll never get an outside reputable source to back him up. am i wrong pakeed? if so, where's the proof?
46. 40 - hey pakeed, i thought you hated missionaries?
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (11.23.09)
and lo and behold, here you are engaging in the disgusting proselytism you so indignantly accuse me of. i'll bet you have some interesting, self-approved explanation about your hypocrisy on this matter.
47. 3rd option is expulsion
Avraham ,   Israel   (11.24.09)
You're wrong. The other option is expulsion of the Palestinians from the lands so that Jews may reclaim our ancient homeland as G-d granted us.
48. :: Sarah B - #39 - 75%?
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (11.24.09)
Sarah B where are you getting this stat from? The current population of Jordan is 6,342,948 the estimated number of Palestinians in Jordan is 2,700,000. Lets round that off: 6m total in Jordan, 3m Palestinians in Jordan. That at best is 50%. Where are you getting this figure of 75%?! Also you fail to mention that recently Jordan has revoked the citizenship of many Palestinians in a move to put paid to any attempt of Israel to fop the WB off on Jordan. I guess that your idea/opinion of incorporating the WB into Jordan is a non-runner. Isn’t it time that you and likeminded people just accept that the state of Palestine will be borne out of Gaza and the WB. The only other option is a One-State Solution. Jordan nor Egypt nor anyone else is not going to bail Israel out and ‘take the Palestinians off your hands’. Two options: One State or Two States. Take your pick because that is all that is on the table.
49. Transfer idea is alive and well
Trumpeldor ,   eurabyeh   (11.24.09)
About time to implement it let us start with the most radical ones It will quieten the others....
50. Simple solution. Pay Arabs to leave.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.24.09)
Authoritative American and Israeli studies prove the PA has grossly exaggerated the number of "Palestinians" in Judea and Samaria by over 1.5 million. Jews are a growing majority in Israel, including Judea and Samaria. To abandon our heartland is insane. The solution is very simple. Pay Arabs to leave. Most have been telling pollsters they'd like to leave, for decades. It's win/win for everyone. For Israel, it's a one time investment with permanent returns.
51. :: Still no sign of Sarah B
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (11.24.09)
Still no sign of Sarah B to back up her claim of: “More than 75% of its population is Palestinian”. This is probably because it is hard to prove a make-believe stat.
