for the exchange. If he were really smart...he would refuse the exchange. The whole is generally more important than a pimple on ones hiney.

oranges... these ae real people with real lifes.. they clearly had no business being in Zionist jails...Is not being an Inmate of the great Gaza prison not punishment enough? Lets have some role reversal here.. to find out what its like to be a Palestinian under Zionist Control.

Why do you persist in making these terrorists out to be innocent babes in the wood? They are hardly that. They are people who cultivated suicide bombers, sent them on their way and sat back and admired their handiwork. These are not the hapless, duped bombers -- they are the ones that sent them. The great Gaza prison is the work of Hamas and the other lunatic fringe groups battling with Hamas for control. Gaza would have been left alone by Israel had Hamas not persisted in sending suicide bombers, attacking border patrols and firing missiles at civilian population centers in Israel. Hamas called the tune. They have no right to complain comes time to pay the piper. That you would support such scum of the earth says a great deal about you, not much of it particularly good. But you tip your hand by your use of the word "Zionist" as if it were something other than merely the nationalist movement of the Jewish people. Israel and the Jewish people are here to stay. I love the fact that this offends you. Eat your heart out, gnash your teeth, compose ridiculous posts, throw an infantile temper tantrum. Doesn't change a thing. Am Israel chai v'kayam.

Sarah, While there are plenty of Hamas militants in prison, its also important to recognize that there are many Palestinians currently being detained in Israeli prisons who have no affiliation with Hamas, or for that matter, with any "terrorist" organization. You'd be surprised how many are simply being imprisoned on suspicion of affiliation or were simply at the wrong protest at the wrong time. Keep that in mind. You seem to be assuming that all prisoners are by default terrorists, and it's a bit unflattering for your argument. Like you said, there are many prisoners who have civilian blood on their hands. Anyone who has civilian blood on their hands (this includes delinquent soldiers in the IDF) deserves to be in prison. You also mentioned Gaza. I think you're right in saying that Hamas' reign in Gaza is doing nothing but prolong the occupation. Still, you seem to be discounting the effects that years and years of seige on Gaza would inevitably have on the population. These were once normal people, like you and I. Perhaps if it weren't for the severity of the situation in Gaza due to the seige and constant bulldozing, groups such as Hamas would not have been so desperate that they felt the need to turn to "terrorism." Now this doesn't mean it's justified. It's not. Killing civilians is never justified. But it's important to make the destinction between civilians and militants, and you have to realize that there are millions of innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza that are in no way affiliated with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, or any other "terrorist" organization. If Hamas hadn't started blowing up Israeli civilians, perhaps the international community would have come to the rescue of the Palestinian people decades ago. But now that "terrorism" has been thrown into the mixture, Israel can justify almost any military action under the pretense of "self-defense," regardless of how much or little consideration it gives to the civilian population. It's a tragic situation for the people of Gaza, and it's a tragic situation for the people of Israel, because each and every IDF operation in the region only transforms more Palestinian civilians into militants who are willing to die for the cause. Hamas may be prolonging the occupation and organizing the resistance, but it's Israel that seems to be inspiring the will.

"all 6 wars ad nauseum without failing to take into account the implications of the two most recent wars proven to be utter failures for Israel. You have regurgitated this concept in almost every single one of your posts, failing to realize that Israel's military power has eroded since the past 20 years." The last two wars were not against a organized army.. Not even Hamas and the Fatah and fight effectively against their own tactics.. Have a state, Raise an army, pick a fight with Israel, Watch how much we have "eroded" in the last 20 years. Your army's will disband in 24 hours. Your leaders know that ... that's why you don't have a state. (Also since if they were accountable for that aid money they couldn't by that apartment is Paris)
