The author of the article is absolutely right. It is totally ungrateful of Minister Livnat to make the statement that she did and, in addition, it is unbecoming of a Minister to talk like that. In her position, she should know better. The United States helped Israel in every possible way, and Minister Livnat's should at least express some thanks, but even if she does not, it is unprofessional in her position to make the claims that she did.
I think it would be a wiser use of Minister Livnat's time, to focus some of her resources and make sure that the education system in Israel becomes what it used to be decades ago. Children learn less and less, yet politicians speak more and more, and get changed more and more often. Ensuring that children learn physics, chemistry, and biology, at a level that will bring standardized tests to international levels - that would be a good way to start.
