In one of the incidents, Israeli forces repeatedly forced a man to enter a house in which Palestinian combatants were hiding. Published testimonies of Israeli soldiers who took part in the military operations confirm the continued use of this practice, in spite of clear orders from Israel’s High Court to the armed forces to put an end to it and repeated public assurances from the armed forces that the practice had been discontinued. The Mission concludes that this practice amounts to the use of Palestinian civilians as human shields and is therefore prohibited by international humanitarian law. Neither in 1947 nor in 1967, the years in which respectively these UN fundamental resolution were reached, the Arabs of Eretz Israel (Land of Israel) did not perceive themselves to belong to a unique people, to a "Palestinian" people. Only in the late 1960s did members of this group, for purely political reasons, began to perceive themselves as a people. UN resolution 181 called for the establishment of an "Arab state", to coexist in peace alongside a "Jewish state" in Eretz Israel. UN resolution 242 corrected 181 in that it did not mention even once the setting up of yet another state between the River and the Sea!!! Indeed, it does not mention at all concepts such as "Palestine", "Palestinians" or a "Palestinian state". It is this wisdom that should be a guide to peace loving people around the world: Let the Arabs of the Land be part of the neighboring Arab states, as they were until 1967. They need not move in doing that. Their citizenship and center of social and political life however should be directed towards Amman and Cairo.

No warnings are given. The message intended is entirely different. 'Subtle' differences like these are telling.

The King David hotel was a military target . The Irgun had send a message to the French News Agency that The Hotel will be blown up in 30 minutes and that the hotel should be evacuated , the British commander was immediately told this , but he said : i give the orders here , not those terrorists . The british could not imagine or believe that those Jews would be able to enter this heavily guarded place . There were , sad to say , also Jewish victims there .
