I have read somewhere that the brits had Jewish civil employees . I remember it very well . I'll try to find it again
62. Kate , 17 "palestinian" Jews were killed
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (12.01.09)
A year later the Irgun said that they will mourn the Jewish victims of the bombing . [ Wikipedia ] Timetables of Jewish history , and Martin Gilbert in his "Israel a History [ p. 135 ] confirm it . OK ? Generally i'm well informed , and can give at least one source , here three .
63. ABRAHAM, Israel is far more important...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (12.02.09)
...it's a consensus among the world's leaders, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict must be ended, many nations national security depends on it.
64. Eitan, try UNSCR 1397 and catch up...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (12.02.09)
“The Security Council, “Recalling all its previous relevant resolutions, in particular resolutions 242 (1967) and 338 (1973), “Affirming a vision of a region where two States, Israel and Palestine, live side by side within secure and recognized borders ... “Welcoming the contribution of Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, “1. Demands immediate cessation of all acts of violence, including all acts of terror, provocation, incitement and destruction; “2. Calls upon the Israeli and Palestinian sides and their leaders to cooperate in the implementation of the Tenet work plan and Mitchell Report recommendations with the aim of resuming negotiations on a political settlement" Hmmm, it's all there, nice neat and tidy. 2-states, 242 and 338, the Road Map, the Arab Peace Initiative, the Tenet Plan, the Mitchell Report. But feel free to keep on with the denials...
65. Charles, do you understand the arrogance...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (12.02.09)
in your quote from Wiki? "A year later the Irgun said that they will mourn the Jewish victims of the bombing." Ponder that sentiment. Where is it different from Hamas or Hezbollah or the rest? It was a cowardly terrorist act by terrorists. Terrorists it turns out who were fighting the occupation. Nevertheless it was a cowardly terrorist act and since there is no excuse for terrorism anywhere, anytime, anyplace, I'm sure your next comment will join with me in condemning this terrorist act, the King David Hotel Bombing as well as all others since then. Come on Charles, I want to see you condemn all terror acts including specifically this one. And James and the rest of you, that goes for you too. I condemn this act of terrorism and all others. Join with me in this thread and sign on to condemn this terrorist act and all others. Come on Birdi, Jennie, Avram, Kate, Abraham, Mati et al. Show some integrity.
66. BBS , not arrogant at all
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (12.02.09)
The Brits were informed of this bombing 30 minutes before [ that's sure ] they did'nt evacuate . Why ? Sources said that the commander there "does not accept orders from Jews" , or maybe that it was impossible for them that the Jews could place a bomb in this heavilly guarded place . It was a MILITARY target , not a civilian one . I will condemn this when the hamas or other arab terrorists will also inform their targets of an imminent bombing .
67. BBS 63 , Here i agree : the conflict must be ended
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (12.02.09)
But why should we , who were always attacked have to give ? it would be the FIRST time in history thatr a country that was always attacked should be the only to make concessions ?
68. BBS 65 ? a cowardly attack ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (12.02.09)
You know what is a cowardly attack ? suicide bombers in a hotel , bus , restaurant , and so on WITHOUT informing 30 minutes before . Attacking a heavily guarded MILITARY target is an act of war . Terrorism this bombing of trains , busses , not to forget the 9/11
69. bbs goes on a tangent @ 64
Kate ,   ISRAEL   (12.02.09)
I will take your last sentence and say:Yes we will be free to chose, and no Saudi can arrogantly suggest anything for Israel to do,or think. They had better look at their savagrey before getting high a mighy especially by the so-called king of THUGS. We neither want,or need saudis to meddle in our affairs. Besides that was quite sometime ago,and irrelevant. But since you are running out of ideas, the usual by you is regirgitation that we neither need, nor are ignorant off. There bbs neat and tidy for you.Now go and begin again with your meanderings which will have no effect on how we Jews/Israelis. But if you wish we can throw you out of a BALCONY the way Haniyeh has to the Fatah supporters. But then,we are not such monsters as they.So we'll take pity on your miserable self, and let you go back to the STONE you crawled out from. Now that is more than you'll deserve don't you think.
70. Kate 69 .
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (12.02.09)
And what about those 17 Jews killed ? Do you believe it now ? Sorry that you were ignorant
71. Charles of course.I sent you a response :
Kate ,   ISRAEL   (12.02.09)
Yesterday that was not published. Sorry.I put a short cut particularely for me to peruse it. Thanks again,Ynet better put this one out,or else you'll think I overlooked your response. Hey,I am not ignorant. We cannot all be as knowledgable as you right? Have a blessed day
72. Kate , it is'nt so my knowledge , it's memory
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (12.03.09)
And there are facts i remember better as others . Sorry for calling you an ignorant , you probably overlooked this fact . Have a nice day
73. Wasnt Palestine either
Adam ,   LA, USA   (11.21.11)
True, it wasn't Israel pre-48, but it wasn't Palestine either. It was just a piece of land that was part of Jordan. It was not a national homeland of the Palestinians, in fact, there was no people called the Palestinians back then.
