61. 53 Eren Doga
Eran ,   Singapore   (01.28.10)
So Eren, You do not give a d-mn to justice or truth, but lobby only for Arabs and Pals, fair or unfair. You misuse inpuniously the term RACIST. Tell me, Is giving educational opportunities to Palestinian Arabs "racist"? 20% of the students in Haifa University are Arabs. Why are 20% of my citizens Arabs with full rights? Where did they magically appear from? Why did I give up the entire Sinai and the Gaza strip, uprooting my own people from their homes, only for the hope of peace You know what war brings and you have the examples in your region and country. Apparently you seem not to be moved by killing and carnage. This is not a game. The Poles and the Germans are our best friends and supporters. But TRUTH is water under the bridge ehhh. .
62. Pal 50 don't bother to put your real name
Roy ,   Fl   (01.28.10)
Is giving educational opportunities to Palestinian Arabs "apartheid"? 20% of the students in Haifa University are Arabs. If I am an aggressor who exiled all the Arabs in 1948, why are 20% of my citizens Arabs with full rights? Where did they magically appear from? Why did I give up the entire Sinai and the Gaza strip, uprooting my own people from their homes, only for the hope of peace. Shame on you for your name calling.
63. #30 - the defense force AFTER years of Arab violence?
William ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
You fail to mention that neither the Stern Gang or Haganah were created until years after Arab violence and massacres of Jews throughout the region, and the UK did nothing to provide security. Just like today, Jews had to arm themselves back then against a very real threat...and we are glad they did. Only 28 years after the first Arab massacre of Jews, the Arab League called for genocide of Jews in Israel ..."and we will make the streets run like rivers of Jewish blood....worse than the Mongol invasion" You know why many jews were massacred in 1920, 1929? Because they put their trust in their long-time Arab neighbors and didn't want to create unnecessary tension - they paid for their hope in Arab humanity with their lives.
64. You want to know how easy is 1 state solution?
Moise   (01.28.10)
A simple collective resignation of P. A. and cancel its instituions and there we go, Israel is in charge. Instead of asking for a Paletinian they will as for a fair representation in the new democratic state of Israel!! You better do what international community is asking now!!!!
65. #45 - The common theme in UNR242, 338
William ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
Is the one the "palestinians" refuse to accept. UNR242, 338 calls for an END to ALL aggression against Israel and for peace to be the result - an absolute end of disagreement. Since UNR242 (and really since UNR194), Arabs, especially "pals" have rejected an end to any aggression against Israel while demanding Israel fulfill its obligations under the resolutions. Jordan followed it correctly, and Egypt followed it correctly - today, they have peace with Israel. Tomorrow, "pals" can follow it correctly and end up with peace before Springtime. Yet, they still believe in ingrained myths and subscribe to racist Islamic ideology. How has that worked out so far??
66. #50 - "Pals" are not Israelis
William ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
Therefore, without being citizens, you do not deserve equal treatment as Israelis. There is nothing "apartheid" about the current situation. Your claim that Israel "risks being labeled as the only apartheid country in the world" is patently false. There are many countries in the world were sections of populations are treated unequally - most of those countries are Arab, but petrodollars seems to keep the heat off of them. Still, the facts are there and plain for all to see.
67. #53 - My family is native to Israel, sir!
William ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
My family, and many others, were native to this region for generations. Conversely, many Arabs claiming to be "pals" can trace their roots back to other countries before the massive illegal Arab immigration into the British Mandate in the 1930s to find work. Coincidentally, a census during that time cited 20 different languages spoken by Arab residents - one of them being BOSNIAN! For being so-called natives, they sure have a lot of intl experience before popular boat/air travel.
68. #50 - I believe you're using an outdated map
William ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
Haifa hasn't been part of the non-State region called "Palestine" in over 62 years.... Just like Berlin hasn't been a part of Prussia since 1871.
69. #64 This is our land and we'll govern it our way.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
The land of Israel belongs to us and we'll govern it our way. The "international community" has no right to tell us what do do and we certainly have no obligation to obey it. Israel is very capable of dealing with the One State Solution. Contrary to "Palestinian" delusions, it won't result in an Arab takeover of our land. We're not going to let it happen.
70. Mr. Mussa. I have a MUCH better deal for you
(01.28.10)
Gaza is RE-UNITED with Egypt - and of course Egypt gets 100% of the lands it lost in its aggression against Israel. Judea and Samaria gets split between its rightful owners - the Jewish people and the squatters - the so called "palestinians". The "palestinian" part RE-UNITES with Jordan and becomes a one happy Jordano-Palestinian country where the Muslims feel happy in their Muslim paradise, without the "oppression" of getting jobs in Israel and living off Israel's' Taxpayer's Money. Isn't this a SWEET deal Mr. Mussa? Aren't you a bit arrogant to play with OUR borders? what are you saying about US playing with YOUR borders for a change?
71. More threats...
D   (01.28.10)
72. Israeli want the cake and the money of the cake!(LOL)
Sirdick   (01.28.10)
Sorry you can't. Either one or the other but not both.
73. # 26
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
David in Karmiel, perfect post.
74. 1 state will lead to civil war 2 states wont be viable
zionist forever   (01.28.10)
The 1 state solutions that just about every country in the world other than Israel wants will solve 1 problem and spark another CIVIL WAR within Israel. Jews & arabs killing each other etc. When the fighting ends the hatred & cultural differences wont end thats something you can't change with a political plan. It wouldn't surprise me if we did end up with people choosing to live in a system that resembles apartheid South Africa. Arabs & jews will choose to live apart & neither will employ the other. Never have single states for 2 peoples worked in the past, The Balkans Lebanon India was divided because the muslims decided they needed to live in an islamic country seperate to India. Kurds they want seperation from Iraq. The only long term viable solution is Jordan being the palestinian state. 80% of its population define themselves as palestinians. They share the same culture, A single state the rest of the world wants will lead to more suffering through civil war. The oslo model 2 state wont long term be viable. Other than size ( 22% of mandate Palestine ) Israel is tiny and thats 78%. it would have all the problems Israel has and many more. So once the parties are over & the time comes to running a real state they will discover its not as easy as running a virtual one.
75. ONe state for palestinians (Jordan), one state for Jews
jae ,   Lynn US   (01.28.10)
(Israel). Jordan is Palestine. History says says so, demographics says so, PLO leadership says so, Jordan's leadership said so.... Take off the blindfold western world. Jordan is Palestine
76. @ #7, #27 : RESIDENTS of Israel, CITIZENS of Jordan/Palestin
Jae ,   Lynn US   (01.28.10)
#27 who said Arabs go home to Jordan & Arabia? Citizens there? yes. residents in Israel where they are now? yes. win-win. Israel will never except becoming 8 miles wide. Thats why this OSLO process is ludicrous, and a waste of time. the real solution is a viable Israel and a viable Jordan/palestine. Arabs of Judea ("aka "west bank") will be residents in Israel, however, they will be citizens of Jordan (which is already 80% palestinian by population)
77. Who are "Israelis" No. 66?
Marlene N. ,   New York city   (01.28.10)
For your information, there is no such thing as an "Israeli" nationality, therefore all people are citizens of the State regardless of who they are. They not be treated equally, since we all know who is the supremacy there, nevertheless an Israeli nationality is non-existent. The matter has been brought before the Court on many instances.
78. Arabs of Judea (aka "west bank") were citizens of Jordan
Jae ,   Lynn US   (01.28.10)
before 1967 war. Let them regain thier citizenship. The hashemites are a hair's breadth removed from power. They are a small clan of a few thousand , ruling a land with 4 million "palestinians" who comprise the majority people of Jordan. Jordan is the solution
79. Muslims push out Christians and Jews: EG Lebanon, Bethlehem,
jae ,   Lynn US   (01.28.10)
Nezareth, Coptic Christians of Egypt, the list goes on and on and on. Jordan is Palestine. That is the viable solution few leaders are wise enough to pursue. Instead they stick to Oslo, which in case no one noticed, is long dead. Israel politics (not being overthrown) wont give enough of Judea (aka "west bank") to satisfy Arab politics. The maximum Israel would give away is not the minimum the Arabs would take. the present "soltuion" is a long drawn joke of a process. Jordan is palestine. Pursue that!
80. WHY NOT TAKE UP MOUSSA'S PLAN AS HE SAID IT?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne,   (01.28.10)
It could be that by trying to sound big Moussa put his foot in his mouth. 'one state for Israelis and Palestinians on the basis of citizenship'. Lovely idea.Have that one state in Judea and Samaria and the whole problem of settlements disappears in a flash. I take it that is what Mr Moussa has in mind.Well done to him for coming up with such a neat plan. Mind you,he's going to have a few problems with Abbas, but when has the Arab League ever cared about the Palestinian Arabs, any way?
81. # 77
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
If there is no Israeli nationallity pray tell me why it is written on my Israeli passport, NATIONALITY-ISRAELI ?? You mean to tell me that my nationality is non-existent? ROFL. Are you sitting on your brain?
82. 77. Marlene Nasser NYC. Belgians are from Belgium, Israelis
Jae ,   Lynn US   (01.28.10)
are from Israel. Just because you are an anarchist, arrogant, and mal-informed anti semite, doesnt mean you should be talking down to others.
