Jonathan ,   Kfar Saba   (01.31.10)
This is pure bs. After an injury I was reassigned to magav for miluim in crosspoints.I have the honor to serve a couple of weeks a year with border policemen/women that do their job professionaly and dedicatedly. This is propaganda.
62. Shameful and Disgusting Behavior
David ,   USA   (01.31.10)
It seems that Israeli society has become corrupted by nationalist and racist sentiment often found in European countries. Whoever does these things should be punished severely. Does not matter who it is, treating human beings like this is shameful and disgusting. No one deserves to be humiliated and abused this way. Any Jew who condones this behavior or tries to justify it should be ashamed of themselves.
63. Here is why this story is not true...
Shneer ,   USA   (01.31.10)
A. 'Breaking the Silence' was already discredited for faking the 'accounts' of IDF soldiers who allegedly violated Geneva Conventions in Operation Cast Lead ('confessions' later retracted.) B. What kind of 'journalism' is this that bases FIFTY ACCOUNTS on anonymous parties? What? Not ONE of the FIFTY is identified? C'mon! C. NONE of this could have occurred at checkpints b/c 'Machsom Watch' is there with cameras every single day. D. NONE of the 'border aliens' could have been returned to Gaza 'beaten up', b/c ALL of the Israeli & EU Leftist/Anarchist groups would have photographed such 'victims.' More EU-funded Leftist/Anarchist lies.
64. Women in the army
Shalom Hartman   (01.31.10)
The article brings out an interesting point - that women in the army feel the need to "act like men". When will we learn - men and women are different; not one sex "better or worse" than the other, but different. The army is no place for a woman.
65. Worthless anonymous stories
Ilan ,   Ariel   (01.31.10)
If any of this indeed happened then let the 'concerned' soldiers go public and take responsibility for their actions. If not then these are probably made up stories with an eye for publicity and nothing more.
66. #63 is right
nr ,   los angeles, usa   (01.31.10)
I remember some time back Breaking the Silence was discredited. So how do they rate a story like this, which doesn't even mention that? Anyone who believes the Jews and Israel will be destroyed needs to read this week's parsha: Beshalach, and #54 - come on, Detroit is no longer the motor city, it's the Arab city, we I get where you're coming from.
67. #24 war crimes are serious in case of failure to declare war

68. Not a testimony
Kelly ,   Boston   (02.01.10)
I agree with David (No. 13) and wish to add that the female soldiers displayed nothing but cowardice and irresponsibility. If they truly cared about the dignity and rights of the Palestinians, they would have reported the incidents right away to the higher ups. Instead they chose "to expose" the "abuse" to the media. Too bad that the fallout of the pictures from Abu Ghreib hasn't had any impact on them or on Ynet.
69. The crucial question here is...
Toni ,   NY   (02.03.10)
why don't these female soldiers bring such military crimes to the attention of military authorities to deal with. Anonymous testimony to a group that is not equipped to deal with misdeeds in the military is not courageous, it is merely tattling. And to what end? Not to remedy the problem, but to publicly demonize Israel. If these testimonies are indeed true, these women should be disciplined, not get off scot free and assuage their consciences by useless tattling and being celebrated as heroes.
70. To everyone thinking they're lying,
MaxChaplin   (02.03.10)
Some soldiers were kind enough to document this and upload it to the tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EsVsHvKRac
71. To David ,NYC @ Not"Testimony" -Allegations(YNET PUBLISH)!
Kate ,   ISRAEL   (02.06.10)
Gosh I went to delete certain short cuts and began to read " Breaking the Silence" article. And the mention of Ynet. Having read the whole thing, pictures and all,I am disgusted with Ynet to put tis artical which is run by roreign and anti-IDF to besmirch it. Wonder why Ynet does not show the other sideof the coin.Where the IDF plays with Arab children giving them sweets and holding hands in a friendly way. One law for the pals, another for our good IDF who have the daily problems dealing with the would be terrorists at checkpoints, even women pretending pregnancy, when underneath they are carrying bombs. I wish I hadn't read the(the short cut article and from there to here Ynet) I am leaving in disgust to see that Ynet in this instance has turned itself same as Haaretz wich I abandoned quite some time ago. I DO NOT EVER BELIEVE THIS STORY.(If there is any truth in it,remember it is not the norm and those IDF persons are terribly young)I have three +nieces, and several nephews who's testimony is worth listening to.They never ever behaved in this manner. Shame on Ynet
72. Tony@69 Precisely right on all points.AND!
Kate ,   ISRAEL   (02.06.10)
And by the way,I went to see the so-called VIDEO ,by someone here presented by the IDF? All I saw was the arab slapping his face.Funny if it wasn't so serious. The only thing I can say is nothing more than A BLOOD LIBLE and a lies produced by that website demonizing Israel/IDF. I would not give any credence at all. That there may be a few bad apples does not mean the whole of the IDF soldiers, officers would descend to such behaviour. People forget Israel is fighting a formidable terror entitiy and there comes a time when the young ones have had enough to stand each day to watch for the would be terrorists who never stop finding ways to oursmart our militatry. Long live the IDF. P/S I talked with one of my nephews who served in Jenin and have a video. You should see how mild mannered my nephew and his comrade were acting toward a passing car going somewhere, stopped by my nephew, and his IDF friend all just routine and no problem. Apparently the excuse of the Pali, that he was on his way to a wedding to present "henna" And my nephew saying...henna ? in a humerous way to his chum.(not of course to the pal) I am sick and tired having to read in our Jewish newspapers accusing the IDF.
73. Coward soldiers.
Richard ,   NYC   (02.11.10)
Nothing like beating 5-year-old children, eh? Cowards, the lot of them... the US should start treating Israel for what it is. We Americans should no longer tolerate this.
74. Reality Check for #63
ESA ,   USA   (01.21.11)
For a moment there I thought you had something intelligent to say... you got me on that one.
75. this is libel pure and simple
jason ,   israel   (06.05.13)
this is libel pure and simple, and should be rejected as is without names / legal due process. our society rejects ignorant approach to propaganda and hatred
76. You are a sick nation.
Albrecht ,   EU   (06.05.14)
Is that due to the Holocaust? Now finally you have found someone who is even weaker than you, and you can "pay back". Does it work in that way?
