1. Yawn Yawn
Eyal ,   USA   (04.20.10)
In a thousand of years from now (if you last) you will do the same and probably turn it into a religion, just like the one you believe now (Islam). Too funny
2. What if Native Americans did this on July 4th?
Josh S ,   USA   (04.20.10)
The reaction would be pretty ugly even though American Indians were treated far worse than Palestinians. Lieberman was right. Israeli Arabs need to be subject to the draft immediately. Anyone who refuses to serve should have their citizenship revoked and be expelled to the Palestinian territories. Those who do serve should be protected from discrimination by US style civil rights laws. Diaspora Jews are expected to be loyal to their home countries and to shoulder the same citizenship burdens as their neighbors. There is no reason why Israel shouldn't expect the same from its religious minorities.
3. correction
Anon ,   Johannesburg   (04.20.10)
Most were not "uprooted" as claimed, or as would make more sence in a war atmosphere. these people left out of their own will under the desision of arab states bordering Israel to do so. They made their beds, now they must sleep in them. There is no Appartheid in Israel FACT. it is the Arabs of israel that are pushing their Jewish counterparts away, not the other way around. to conclude, there can not be a "law of return" as they left of their own will.
4. NAKBA:ITS ARABS WHO ARE IN DENIAL
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne,   (04.20.10)
The Arabs have created a myth for themselves that blames Jews and Israel for all their past misfortunes. They cannot face up to the the real causes of the Nakba:Arab rejection of the 1947 partition plan,Arab invasion of the Palestine Mandate in 1948,tyrannical ,terrorist self-appointed leaders who promised them what they could not deliver. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
5. move to jordan

6. ... and denying Armenian genocide is akin to what?
Michael Hess aka BS ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.20.10)
Both Turks and Arabs have always denied genocides of Christians and Kurds.
7. Arabs expelled ALL jews from their countries
Leon ,   Los Angeles, USA   (04.20.10)
Just think of it, ALL were expelled, property confiscated, some were killed, raped humiliated. For these "israeli arabs" to ask for the return of refugees to their homes is to ask for Israel to be destroyed. Palestinian state will be established in West bank and Gaza and these people should be exchanged together with their"triangle" land for major settlements like Ariel. they don't belong in Israel.
8. Zionism is not Judiasm!
(04.20.10)
Denying the Nakba is like Denying the Holocaust!
9. #8
Jane   (04.20.10)
The "Nakba" did not involve shoving Arabs into ovens or gassing them. Your moral equivalence gambit is freaking out of control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10. T - Shirt should say "NAKBA = Arab League"
GZLives   (04.20.10)
11. pal loss ??=?? what
moshe ,   Israel   (04.20.10)
denying the result of pal loss is not a good thing... That there was indeed a ' Nakba' and NOT misjudgement of the people who left ' Israel ' in 1948 is a serious question. Even so... comparing the so-called " Nakba " to the Holocaust is like comparing a squabble to World War II

(04.20.10)
i respect the both holocaust survivors and nakba Refugees. Though the methods of both catastrophies were different it resulted with the same outcome, people displaced, and killed and i am a better person than you because i understand both catastrophies and acknowledge both catastrophies because both ended up with people getting hurt phycologically and mentally, You on the other hand only see one side not the whole picture therefor you are blind!
13. #6
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (04.20.10)
Just like the Israelis are in denial eh? can't accept that Israel was created with Jewish hands with Palestinian blood on them?
14. Suffering is incomparable
TLV, Israel   (04.20.10)
It's sad to see how egocentric the people writing on this talkbacks are. Suffering is never comparable, and if you want our arab neighbours to recognize the suffering of the jewish people, the least you can do is to have an ear for their aspirations. You may disagree, but you're showing a face in these talkbacks that you're the first one to accuse others for. Whenever any criticism on Israel is being ventilated, the first word on these talkbacks is 'anti-semitism'. Israel is digging it's own grave with it's inability to look beyond your own egotripping glasses. Luckily i do know israeli's, the ones that don't waist time on these talkbacks, that have a true humane heart and will embrace peace in this country, once the israeli government has the bravery to give up their narcism and stubborness and choose for peace. And a part of that is recognizing that also the arabs who lived in this country before, have dealt with suffering that they want to memorate.
15. "Nakba"
marvls ,   ny, usa   (04.20.10)
If only Jews were uprooted "a few hundred meters from their homes in Arab lands and elsewhere. Hey there was a war. You started it. You lost. But you're now full citizens of Israel with more political rights (and economic benefits) than you would have in just about any Arab country. Racist laws? You mean the one against treasonous behaviour and slandering your country? Gimme a break! What a bunch of ingrates!

Oh, if only the 6 million had just been displaced!
17. BBS News #13 stop with your nonsense, it's not working
(04.20.10)
any longer you have been unmasked
18. I bet most readers must stare and gawk in-
Jacob ,   Ashkelon   (04.20.10)
-awe at the amount of ignorance that is displayed here on a daily basis “The Arabs have created a myth for themselves that blames Jews and Israel for all their past misfortunes” The simple truth is that events such as Jews forcing arab civilians, after they were stripped of their valuables, from villages like Lydda and Ramla on a death march are part of our Jewish history, we mightn’t like talking about it but we can’t deny it, and it is hardly a ‘misfortune”. The worse injustice was of course denying the arab refugees the right of return as if they did not have the same universal human right that we reserved and enjoyed for ourselves as we took over their towns and villages. Denying the Arab Nakba is no different than a German denying the Holocaust and it shames us all when some would deny Jewish history. Regardless of those who deny knowledge or responsibiliy the Arab Nakba will always be part of our history
19. Well Spotted #17...
Michael Hess aka BS ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.21.10)
we can always tell who the impersonators are by the way they use facts and common sense, we'll weed out such factual posts and Israel shall prevail
20. #18 Nakba result of Arab League and Islamist policy
GZLives   (04.21.10)
NOT Israel who begged the Arabs to stay .... or do you not remember: "WE APPEAL — in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months — to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions."
21. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.21.10)
Humane? Oh, please. The Palestinians are the architects of their own misfortune, having three times rejected the opportunity for a two-state solution. Of course, factor in sixty-two years of terror -- both within and without Israel, suicide bombings, missile barrages and the rest. I must say, they haven't done much to tweak my humanitarian concerns. In fact, everything they have done argues powerfully against "humanitarian concerns." Here's a news flash: They don't want to live side by side with us. They want to replace us. And that is not going to happen.
22. #14
Jane   (04.21.10)
It's not that we don't care about the "other". It's that you ONLY care about the "other". Every Jew (ok, almost every Jew) prays for peace and most could give classes in having a humane heart. Our "egotripping" glasses have been shattered far too many times to not see through a prism of skepticism. Look deeply into your heart and find the answer as to why Shalom Achshav is doing so poorly. It is not for lack of the wish/dream of peace. You are rather contemptuous of those who do not think like you, much like the Obamists in the US. The tone of your talkback wreaks of lattes on Sheinkin and the sounds of Kumbaya.
23. Arabs should give us back Medina
Golan ,   Modiin   (04.21.10)
What hypocrisy. Here are Arabs, followers of Muhammad who murdered, raped, enslaved, and exiled Jews from their homes in the Yathrib (Medina) before invading and occupying Israel... then in 1948 tried to complete what Hitler began and LOST complain about what? Losing a war they started? That is the "Nakba." Losing a war to these people is the disaster. Thank God they did!
24. They Need to Get Used To Both Flags!
ARIEL   (04.21.10)
25. Nakba???
jb ,   canada   (04.21.10)
Yhe Arabs are the cause of their own misfortunes. They could have had their own country a dozen times over. Everytime the Brits had a commission backtracking on the Balfour Plan and the League of Nations and the San Remo Conference, they offered the Jews less and less. And each time the Arabs said NO. We want it all, every square millimeter. And same rejection to the UN partition plan in 1947 and ever since, 1967, 1973, and on and on. The Jews have bent over backwards to be accomodating and every time the Arabs have said NO and added "Kill the Jews" for good measure. The Nakba for them is really crying and grieving about the fact that they didn't push the Jews into the sea and/or butcher them; not about not having a homeland. They could have had it many times over. So all whiney little kumbayah adolescent twerps... grow up. The Palis have blown every chance they had and now continue their genocidal ways. And when they fail they come running to you moral cowards crying: "boo-hoo, look what the Jews have done to us. LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO YOURSELVES, you abominable little wretches!
26. To # 17. Good call. Hess has been using many aliases today.
flyingdoc57 ,   Florida, U.S.A.   (04.21.10)
Poor Michael Hess (formerly BBSNews) is having a bad news day today. I've already attempted to expose his sock-puppeting in other articles here today. Unfortunately, my 'exposures' have not yet been posted. Fact is, Hess' "contributions" are so prolific and so repetitive, it's easy to see right through his use of aliases. Feel better, Michael. Maybe you should go 'smoke'em peacepipe'.

Remind me - was that before or after the Jewish terror attacks on Palestinian civilians?

Jane   (04.21.10)
I'm gagging on your moral equivalence. "Naqba" DOES NOT EQUAL HOLOCAUST. Lack of "right of return" DOES NOT EQUAL OVENS.

is the Elgin Grill still in business? I love the Jordies. YAHOOO!
30. THE REAL REASON
